They're not the only one. Only reason you haven't seen mine is because I won't be getting them in for another month or three. Congrats on the 0 Gundam. I'm not sure I like the styling on this one - seems too angular, too much RX-78 Ver Ka - but more 0 Gundam is always appreciated. I'm always surprised how much I like it out of all of Gundam 00. -
Not to put too fine a point on it, but this is definitely one movie you should see in theaters.

Ready Player One, in theaters March 30, 2018

Just saw it, and goddddd I was so absolutely bored throughout this entire thing. The story was dumb, the world was dumb, the characters and writing were dumb... You can do all the referencing you want - and this movie damn well tries to do it the most - but all of that means squat if you can't tell a good story. The constant exposition, just explanation after explanation after explanation for like the first hour of the movie and even in lengthy spurts thereafter... And none of the references were even all that titillating. Especially the Gundam, it didn't do anything exciting, they didn't incorporate it in any interesting way at all. It was just... there. It was dumb, just like all the other references were dumb. Way way way WAAAAY worse than PR2, which is a crying shame because the effects absolutely blow PR2 out of the water. The compositing in PR2 was consistently terrible, but you know what it did well? Its Gundam reference, that's what. It did a hell of a better job making me go "YOOOOOO!!!!" with its Gundam reference than this movie did.- 98 replies

Personally, I don't like holes or other mounting points as, however innocuous, they still result in an "off-model" model. Hasegawa have recently begun to bundle simple clear stands with some of their kits, and besides looking really nice, they also do their job without compromising the look of the kit itself.

Yep, having gotten my refund from Mykombini I've managed to avoid the consternation most everyone else here has been suffering for the past week or so. I'm feeling much more content with my two 31A kits now, after seeing the suffering I avoided.

Oh frakk yes, I love that scheme, and it's a Ba to boot! Definitely gonna get in on this. (EDIT: By the by, that's a May 31 release date.) Re: the 1/48 VF-1 beneath it, was that out of production or something? I thought they always kept the VF-1 kits on a pretty consistent production rotation because of its popularity? In case anyone else is interested, a quick translation of that area: - YF-19 "Macross Plus" (Egg Plane); Non-Scale; June 7 release/June 10 retail; 1300 JPY - VF-1S/A Valkyrie "Skull Squadron"; 1/48; July 12 release/July 15 retail; 3800 JPY - VF-1 Valkyrie Photo-etched parts; 1/48; June-July; 2000 JPY - YF-19 Photo-etched parts; 1/48; June-July; 2000 JPY EDIT: Has the VF-31F not been released yet? Which variants have now? I think... only the J, C, and A variants have been released? I don't think the VF-31 Super packs have been released?

Do SE license their characters to be made by other companies? I know there's a Figuarts Sora from Kingdom Hearts, but I'd imagine most if not all of their stuff they make in-house through their own figure lines.

Snap-fit kits are always such a pain when you want to build them "traditionally." All the solid connections actually make for way more work, at least for me. I have to cut down all the pegs and holes so that they're little more than guide rails and the actual holding together comes from the glue/cement.

Then stop. No more jokes. Fun and games don't include panic attacks. You've called this an addiction, a bad habit, you're taking away from your food budget, and you just had a panic attack. This is not fun. You are probably experiencing and/or have experienced and/or will experience overwhelming anxiety over how to scramble your finances together to deal with how much you've just spent. You need to stop, and everyone here cannot be light and jokey about this. I said it before: we here are not your friends and we do not have your best interests at heart. Get away from the forums for a while if you have to; the people here are generally enjoyable to be around, but I think it's fair to say we as a forum tend to celebrate excess a bit... excessively. Please, PLEASE, don't get suckered in by that. -
Mine's waiting at HLJ for other items to join it. So I "have" it, but won't have it for another month or two.
