You're welcome to list at any price you want. I could've sworn I've seen a forum rule (or maybe just unofficial code of conduct) that people can't/shouldn't criticize you for it openly, and take any price disputes to PM. Can't seem to find it, though. Seems like a good way to go about things, and for what it's worth, the price is totally fair. Like CharlesXavier said, willing seller willing buyer.

Do NY et al have more... shall we say... "up to date" search functions than HLJ? No having to do an advanced search, just look the item up through the regular search function?

Those are official product pics. Though yes, even so that's a great build. ...makes me wonder what happens to those kits used for promo pictures. Hasegawa should have Tenjin or Kawamori sign the base and sell them for a premium. I'd be first in line for some of them, no doubt about it.

Shouldn't there already be some up? I think for the MB Arbalest and re-release Laevatein, CDJ, Amiami, NY, and Hobby Search all had pages up several hours to a day in advance...

I'm not too bothered by that, considering the design of the YF-19 is inherently all sorts of ridiculous. The things they keep (relatively) consistent from design to artwork to cel is what's important, at least to me. The two deviations that the DX makes - the chest and the feet - bother me the most because they disrupt the otherwise consistent design of those areas. And really, it's only the feet that I have a major bone with; the chest looks fine in its own right, it's just "bad" because it's different. I've said it before, but my ideal YF-19 toy would be a 3-set of separate Fighter, Gerwalk, and Battroid modes, all tailored to best exemplify the design in each form. So a slim, long fighter, a somewhat deformed Gerwalk with exaggerated legs and arms, and a chunky, aggressive Battroid. (I keep hoping against hope that Hasegawa will release Battroid and Gerwalk YF-19 kits that do just this...)

I was wondering about that. Thanks very much. Is it the same regarding the toes? I'm considering 3D-printing my own set of replacement feet if the ones on the final product are as... lopsided as the promo pics look to be.

Has anyone on here bought/built one of these? Doesn't seem like reaction was all that hot to it. (For me it's the Girl that killed the kit. I STILL don't get why they couldn't have included one of the many many MANY Macross females instead.)

^ Okay, so I might be wrong about this, but just hear me out. I think you might need bigger paint cups for those. More seriously, though, someone mentioned rattle cans earlier, and I wonder if this kit might actually justify the crazy amount of paint those things shoot out.

I forget where I read this, but the Advance explicitly has VF-25-style/era feet installed. Probably all a part of refitting a VF-19EF Cariburn to fifth-gen (sixth-gen?) specs. I think the general shape is pretty accurate to what I remember in the movie. The heel was never pointed like the toe was; that didn't start 'til Frontier. As for rising above the leg... I'm gonna chalk that up to poor handling. Note one foot looks fine while the other is clearly mistransformed. The pics in general seem to reflect handling by someone who didn't try too hard. The more flaws people point out, the less hype I get. STOP IT!

After looking at it more, I think I see what you guys mean now. It seems like the red chest fin doesn't even really exist on the original design; both the animation and the Arcadia toy depict the chest as a solid block with red paint on the upper panel and black on the lower. The DX, on the other hand, adds a black recess and changes what was red-painted armor into a fin, doing that whole area in the style of Gundam chest vents. Hm... Now I can't not notice it... Ignorance truly was bliss.
