Looking back, I've enjoyed every standalone Predator movie except 2. So there's more, huh? Okay. Deal me in.

Is that RG Hi-Nu and... RG Nightingale? I honestly can't tell if it's an SD or NXEDGE or what, its proportions are so inherently weird.

I was wondering what they meant by that, too. I don't THINK they're posable, but...

Apparently there's a re-paint of that one Rebuild 3.0 1/6 Asuka with double glaive figure up for sale on Amiami, this time in 4.0 colors: https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?scode=FIGURE-120750 \ Speaking of which, the original one is also available pre-owned: https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-007622-R- 998 replies

I really like the experimentation they do with this line. That said, why not the 3.0 suit? White Arms Asuka is Best Asuka.- 998 replies

Given how the year's gone, I wouldn't dismiss the possibility. Just reset the cursed countdown clock, like in 1408.

I would expect that any remaining airworthy F-117s are lacking their 80s-era RAM applications now, yes? I've heard nothing but horror stories about the growing pains of that technology, and it can't possibly still be in use today save for perhaps really specific test flights...

Whoooo! Finally! Now watch that price be $50 like the VF-4 was! WHOOOoooooo... Wait... C'mon, Hasegawa, get on it!

But might ultimately prove to be more ubiquitous and receive better support, due to the same raytracing... pipeline, I guess... being in the consoles. I imagine it will be fairly painless to port games to and from consoles as they are, and will require maybe minimal, maybe significant extra dev work to optimize for Nvidia cards. -

The full event, in case you wanted to watch it: All in all, it all looks compelling enough, but I was hoping to get a deeper dive not just into the hardware but the software as well. I suppose that's what Gamers Nexus is for... I'm most curious about the Smart Access Memory feature, and whether it can be implemented on earlier Ryzen generations or even Intel CPUs, or if one could do the same with Nvidia cards, etc. It's a very console-like feature. -
The way I heard it, that was the norm rather than the exception; the Barbatos and Wing Zero were both rife with problems (bad parts fit, loose/tight/broken joints, etc.), and third time was the charm with the Astray finally ironing out most of the manufacturing kinks. I dunno if later releases of the WZ/Barb ever fixed those problems or if they have just persisted.

Dang, beat me to it... by 8 hours. Anyway, they finally have the Mercurius/Vayeate et al up for preorder, though it looks like they're not running the same preorder campaign.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
kajnrig replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I dunno what y'all are on about, Stargazer is literally the only thing I've been able to stand of the Seed franchise. Short, to the point, and manages to avoid many of the pitfalls that most Gundam shows get into, such that even if you don't like it you're only out 45 minutes or less. Plus the Stargazer itself is SUCH a good design... -
Bandai 1/72 VF-1J Super Fighter (Max Type) instructions for decals?
kajnrig replied to ulvdemon's topic in Model kits
Of course. The CnP just allows for translating specific characters/phrases, which sometimes helps get a better translation. I tend to turn off the "auto-translate" feature, if that's what you're talking about. For those who don't know, the Translate app offers a function to translate in real-time as you're pointing your phone/tablet camera at something (with the translated text superimposed on top of the original), eliminating the need to even take a photo. But I find it often does a worse job and the generated text is hard to read anyway, so I just don't bother and take a pic instead. Has it gotten better recently? -
Bandai 1/72 VF-1J Super Fighter (Max Type) instructions for decals?
kajnrig replied to ulvdemon's topic in Model kits
I forget if it's the case or I'm just imagining it, but I want to say that the Translate app can generate a regular text string from the photo that you can copy/paste as you see fit. So that would help as well. -

I really wish HobbySearch had a better search system, or at least more consistent item listings. I was searching for your item because I know HS tend to scan the manuals for their listings, but none of the keywords I used brought it up. Why there's no dash, or why there IS an "SP," I'll never know. Well, regardless, glad everything worked out. -
Yeah... Looks to be mostly an excuse to implement the features of the GFFMC/GoL(? Frozen Teardrop???) design, most of which I can take or leave. Otherwise, it's a decent enough update of the design. Enough to warrant getting it over the old MG, or even the older HG? I dunno. If the price is the same, then I suppose there's no harm. The HG goes for around $20, $25 anyhow thanks to its rarity nowadays, putting it right in the same price class as the old MG. Not a fan of the legs, and the frankly stupid amount of panels-shifting going on there. Hands are a welcome improvement. I wonder if they're outright reusing the hands runner from the MG EW kits. Bird Mode remains hilarious as ever, though kudos to them for having the courage to do not just one but TWO 360-degree pans of it. I can't quite place it, but the buster rifle looks... different. I mean even accounting for the changes made to accommodate the new gimmicks, something about it seems off. All in all, I'm not entirely sure this needs to exist, but cool, i guess.

Basara reminds me in some ways of Mikumo, except that Basara is allowed to be a leaf-eating parody of himself, whereas Mikumo gets played completely straight and suffers for it. -
I forget how popular or in-demand the Exia IV is, but if you're still looking for one, Amiami's got two pre-owned: https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-060107-R They've got a bunch of other pre-owned Metal Builds/etc. regularly in stock as well. Dunno how their prices compares to MSRP, but if you're ever looking for something, they're always a good place to check.
