uh guys... topic is about how the original sounds. basicly, is it something i could turn up on a good system and listen to or does it still have that overall cheap sound of the english dub version? i know its confusing but i'm not talking about the voices in paticular but everything. does the original sound on the original japanise version of the movie sound any better than the english version? thanks guys

if they re-release something they said would be limited edition (and charged more for), only to sell it again to people who didn't try as hard or pay as much to get one, they would make alot of hardcore fans and collectors pissed. if they release another low viz, IF they do it. it would probably be one of a diffrent rank. but i'd kinda be supprised if they did it at all.

seriously, difficult to understand posts have gotten kinda comon around here lately.

i've got kind of an involved question. i know the voice acting in DYRL is much better in the subtitled version. what i want to know is what the actual sound "quality" is in the subbed version. in the dubbed version everything sounds really polarized and tinny, like it was recoreded in a warehouse or something ESPECIALLY the voices. did the dubbing crew mess up the sound effects in with their own sound work or are the sound effects the same in the dubbed or subbed versions? also it seems like the sound effects are layed in akwardly, with kinda jarring pauses in sound and stuff, is this the same with the original version? thanks for the info.

i doubt much will come of this french guys claims. MAYBE disney will settle out of court, but they might go so far as to counter sue this guy for the bad publicity he's causing. from what i can tell, there was no actual copyright infringment, yet the similaritys are embarrisingly obvious. if they did lift the concept from this guys(legal btw) it would be more of an example of lack of creativity. you can't copy right the story of a child seperated from his parents and the journey to be reunited. think of it this way. there have been dozens of books written by people who went through the holocaust, i've read many of them. MOST of them are very similar treatment wise, but the plots are diffrent. its not like one author could turn ot the next and say "hey, writeing about personal experiences in the holocaust was MY idea!" it just doesn't work that way. you can't copyright the right to write a story about clownfish. nor can you copy right the story of a child looking for his parrents. as for pixar leaving. their contract is up. its plain and simple, its not pixar "sticking it" to disney or anything. both companys signed a contract, and that contract is expired. it just HAPPEND this guy is bringing up charges near the end of the contract. that said, i'm glad pixar is leaving disney.

best death ever? thorin in the hobbit what i liked about roy dieing is he was clearly the "coolest" character in the show, if he can die, hell anyone can! made the fight sequencees actually dangerous. in thundercats/gijoe/transformers etc, you knew no one was gonna die, it was all about who would get knocked unconsious or who would get tied up. this is what made robotech(macross saga) stand out to me

man, i dunno if i like the look of him. i always really thought Shockwave was one of the mose bad ass transformers (more so than mega tron) hes big, purple, has an ominous glowing eye that blinks when he talks, and he sounds like a heartless killing machine. and i liked the way he transformed into a gigantic gun, (not a little gun like megatron) because he wasn't "redesigned" on earth he was simply an un-compromising death-bot from outerspace. f-ing cool. i don't think i like the light mish-mash of colors they have on him now, that white band across his chest was always so distinctive, now hes got a light grey fuslauge with camo pannels? ew. i think wolverine sums it up

well, you really arn't getting shafted, what ever the price is, you felt it was fair and were willing to pay it. just because some other people are getting a discount doesn't mean you're getting screwed. had they raised the price on you at the last seccond then that would be getting shafted.

one thing you could do is pre-order a SECOND one, if it goes through, you coudl cancel the first one. if it doesn't go through, then hold on to the first one.

dude maybe this isn't the boards for you. alot of us here don't paticularly like the way some mods do things, but oh well, its a free board. if you don't like it, leave. you can always research your info somewhere else if you find Macrossworld too oppressive. and as for mods "indiscriminately locking the thread because of what they perceive as being a bad topic." well thats exactly what they are for.
