Just looking at this i honestly can't figure out how they coudn't get this to transform into its tank mode. its like having a valk that can't get to gerwalk but not fighter mode. why can't the legs be folded forward? Isn't that essentially all it needs? fer chrissake its a hovertank that can't transform into its hovering tank mode....! -
the new Punisher was just mad max repackaged. seriously. i'm not too sure about a new max. the last one was very silly and disney. I'm an Mad Max 1 fan. Although Lord Humongous is pretty damn cool. "Just walk away"

gotta say i disagree. i can't deny that the concept for the show is definately along the same lines of pokemon, beyblade, etc... but in execution it was done much better, it had good story, not placeholder story. i think the main diffrence is that the children had problems and had trouble dealing with things. often they didn't wrap stuff up in tight little "your friends always see you through" 30 min packages. teletubbies and barney, c'mon thats just a joke. I also was a big fan of their background design. To be honest i got "hooked" by the show the first couple weeks because i was just watcihng to look at the background paintings.

I agree, the first two seasons really focused on character development and story. Theres no denying it had the "monster collector" thing going on a bit, and seemed geared towards selling its actionfigures. but unlike something like poke'mon, Digimon tended in my opinion to have a legitimate story going on under the comercial facade. The question remains though if the show has a Japanise Name or if its called DIGIMON in japan as well.

I was just thinking the same thing, seems like all it has to do is lift its legs up? why would they even include that mode in the instructions.... -
i guess it's pretty apparent at this point that i lack the means to actually "kill" anyone on a web forum. so feel free to make fun of me. however, does digimon have a japanise name? i don't see how anyone could hate this show as much as some people do. the similaritys to poke'mon are superficial at best. IMHO they did a good job of fleshing out the characters.

hey KK, i wsn't sure you still cruised these boards i'd love to do more mods to these 1/55's if i could just get more boots to work on.

I liked season one and two of Digimon. OK? I liked the art and respected the storytelling. alright? that said, i'm trying to find DVD copys of the original japanise version (with subs) i'm intrested in how much like the american release the japanise version is. i thought the show was handled well and had alot of humor and heart. Anyway, feel free to discuss the show if you want, but i'd like to know more about finding a copy of these episodes i tried netflix but only the movie showed up, should i be looking for it under a diffrent name?

what program are you using knight? why arn't you using maya? i must have missed some updates, your fighters are looking ALOT better. Some of these are really snazzy. my advice would be, start from scratch, redesign the whole thing from the ground up incorporating everything you can imagine to make it feel more "right" you'll still have you're old file, so compair them, see which you like better and then decide. don't ever settle, ever.

i'm having trouble with the hyundai concepts headlights. I'm more into round headlights and clusters than little slits. If anything though, i'd replace that Hyundai emblem. The chrome H is tacky imho. Tiburon has a T shaped badge for its korean version name (Tuscani) that looks pretty sweet. I wish they'd do something like that for this car.

What do you guys think of this? The front end looks a little forced to me but i do like the over all shape of the body.

stock car racing would be tons more intresting if they actually raced stock cars.

this is an amazingly simple and good idea, i can't beleive i ddin't think of this. You're right about those pens, that fit should be TIGHT and will hold tons of weight i'm sure.. (well maybe not TONS) i just bid on some more boots, i'm going to try this out and then consider it for my re-ish

ugh.. i come across this line of thinking in my work all the time. while i whole heartedly agree that recap episodes suck [edited for super graphic illigal content], any company who figures "they wern't with us from the start, so F them!" will never ever do well. I also don't like this attitued from fans of stuff lilke shows. Not everyone is lucky enough to get on things from the start. i would assume MOST macross fans here probably didn't catch the first airing of the first episode of the first run of SDF macross. your statement is basicly telling them all to piss off. a good show finds a way to update newbies through out the season with out beating it over the heads of consistent viewers. recap episodes however are a unimaginative and BORING way to do it. even newbies to a show find them hard to watch most of the time because there is no depth and the editing is bad usually. I'm not a huge fan of the Globals Report nor a fan of Virgin Road. To be honest i'm not terribly fond of any of the episodes after the Macross crashes back on earth. From what i understand, when Misa and Hikaru see the Macross setting down, they realize humaniy managed to survive and things could rebuild, and this was originally the ending to the serise. To me that is a much more elegant ending, and like someone elsse mentioned, it seemd like Hikaru was becoming a "sure of himself" guy at that point, he'd chosen maturity and was restarting himself. Watching the love triangle try to reassert itself again in later episodes was jarring to me. so for me, the last couple episodes are my least favorite.

dood. that sounds really intresting. i have to admit however, from your image i can't really tell whats going on; which pens you used; or what part of the pen. could you please post some pics of the pen, and the pen peices? if its as strong as you say, i MAY be doing this to my reissue 1/55 awesome find man!

Good to hear, nothing worse than someone feeling like they've wasted their money. The short answer to why prices keep going up is because people are willing to pay more. As the product becomes rare-er people are willing to pay more to get them. Sometimes when a company sees people willing to pay other customers big bucks for the product, the company will start to sell its product new at that cost: ie: kid buys valk for 100 bucks. kid sells valk on ebay for 200 bucks. yamato thinks "i could sell this for 150" its a gamble because you can't really tell if demand will stay high, and the prices just go up and up, maybe you should buy now and hope for the investment. if demand goes way down, it's better to wait, stores will get too many and start selling them cheap just to get the shelf space back.

In responce to OP: I'm not really sure how to comfort you. I absoloutly love the VF-1 valks but i can't afford the kind of collection you have, and i'm not really sure i'd have that kind of collection even if i could afford it. I find it a little worrying that you'd buy that much stuff and not really realize how much it cost you. every valk i buy i seriously consider before getting it (even when i found my brownie 1/55 i thought long and hard if i'd get more enjoyment out of it than the 35 bucks i paid. When ever getting into a hobby its VERY important to always realize that you may not stick with it forever. you (we) should always consider what we buy and not spend say.. money for food.. on something like valks. When i see a display case with a full line up of MPC's, what looks to me to be 4 or 5 1/48's and a host of other action figures in a very nice display case; i think one of two things: a. Huge, dedicated macross fan or b. someone with no restraint for their wants. if you find yourself looking at your collection and feeling remorse rather than satisfaction, i would encourage you to not complain about how much the company is selling its product for and focus more on controlling how you buy things you may not get much enjoyment out of. sometimes the desire for a "complete set" can be greater than the satifaction of actually owning the "complete set" and you gotta ask yourself "do i really need this stuff???"

i just realized i'm a nerd. very cool man.

oh dude you did NOT go there, haha i made my first "super poseable" 1/55 before i even heard about the 1/48 and i was CERTAIN i could do better than the 1/60's stupid mid'shin rotation. mission accomplished in some ways i like my customs here more than my yamato 1/48, mine're more poseable and for me (as an animator) poseability earns buku bucks. the yamato wins in prettyness is all :-)
