It looked to me that the first few episodes had the best animation, especially the pilot. Its hard to avoid, they most likely had the most money and resorces on these. there isnt much in macross that rivals that first zentradi capitolship flyby, the vf-1d crashing through a building while transforming and some of the smoothest most on-model character animation of the serise all in one episode. they might not have been the most actionpacked, memorable or impressive scenes in the serise, but best animated imho by far.

I just want to say i agree with Sundown about GOTF. IMHO its not one of the worst animes out there, but its definately alot worse off for the reasons he's stated. A show that is really popular that i just can't get into is Naruto. To me its not really animated that well, its repetitive, and has a bit of that DBZ "power, Power, POWER!!!" thing going on where the characters run into someone who kicks their ass, they train for "find inner strength" and just keep getting rediculously stronger. They never find anyone who is just clearly much weaker than themselves, or run into someone who is soundly stronger, and not defeatable in the immediate future. its like theyre progressing through a carefully balanced videogame. I've noticed i'm not a huge anime fan.. heh.. like someone else mentioned, there are entire genera that i don't like: kid in giant robot (but he don't wanna fight) storys. (except evangelion) young man of oustanding morals vs. seemingly always naked ultra innocent girl. collection anime, capture tons of things and hoard them up. there isnt' much left that i can like hehehe.

I'll second the Final Fantasy 6 figures: i'd like to see them with good body articulation, and NO GIMICKS no big plastic blasters, or missle fireing backpacks, just joints and solidness. and i want good action figures, not the crappy mcfarlane statues. a good asortment of weapons would be cool for each character, and maybe mix it up to add to colectablity, ie: get all of edgars tools by buying several diffrent characters. i would probably buy an entire set, wich would cost me cuz theres like 20 main charactes at least (been a while since i played) not including npc's and villans.

i dont' seem to remember the crew of the bebop paticularly likeing instant noodles. seems that NOT likeing them should get you a seat ont he bebop, that and liking mushrooms

ok, well this thread looks like its been abandoned for some time, i hope you dont' mind me resurecting it for my own purposes. I recently dug my old Marlin .22 out of storage and would like to remove the barrel for cleaning. I don't have any manuals or anything for it, and marlins web site doesn't talk at all about this paticular gun. the guns info is: Glenfield Mod.70 by the Marlin Firearms co. Where would be a good place to start looking for information about how to care for this little riffle?

A co-worker brought this blue Legioss today. Its old, has lots of metal in it, and is missing an arm. Can anyone help identify who makes it and if its a rare version or not? Does anyone have replacement parts for this?

I think SDF is one of the best Anime storylines ever. DYRL i think is pretty but not so great story wise. Personally i liked the contrast between our cultures being enough to shock the Zentradi out of battle readyness. I just don't think music needs extra "spirita-power" or what ever to make earths culture strong. SDF and Plus are great, DYRL is ok (great visualy), everything else is Meh to me.

WE're specifically talking about the motion of the eva's and large "things" in general in animation, i was hoping i could show them just a clip. You'l note i was asking about a place online to see a quick clip. Suggesting renting the movie at a video store is less "blatantly stating the obvious" and more "not reading my request." In any case theres a few things in that movie i'd rather not display at work.

Does anyone know where i can find a video or something online that i can show a friend of mine of Unit 2 killing all the white Evas in the end of Evangelion movie? I've been searching the web and having a hard time finding this, anyone know where a spot might be that has some clips? (or even animated gifs will do) thanks mw!

i hope they let civilians buy these (disarmed of course) if they can afford them. the thought of all these amazing planes rotting in an aviation junkyard someplace makes me want to hurt kittens. if they could set a second set of controls in the rear seat, maybe we'll see something like that dogfighting place, but with f14s in the future :-) probably not but i can dream.

I agree, i'm asuming the framed image is the front of the box this thing came in? I dare say with out the framed box cover next to it, this may have looked fairly tacky, with it though it cools profesional :-)

ok so i just started Netflixing this serise. i got : Battlestar Galactica: Season 1: Disc 2 (Disc 1 of Season 1 Content). Problem is it's not the first episode ??? what am i supposed to get to start this show from the begining? (PLEASE forgive me for not searching through this thread, i'm trying to keep spoilers to a minimum for myself.) this is prety neat, it looks very much like a prototype style paintjob. a tiny bit flashy, a tiny bit burocratic. its cool.

this is intresting because i'd considered having my low viz "touched up" by one of the more profesional guys around here, with some REALLY good model stickers, and some good light weathering/lines and general improvements. I never got any takers though, its intresting to seee someone else with a similar 'want'

aw really? i thought it was sort of a dukes trademark to see some grizzled stuntman (sometims with a mustach!) driving in the stunt scenes?? maybe i'm thinking of a diffrent show. I've been trying to think of what possible story they could tell involving max. I'm worried they'll go "big" this time.. when you think about it, for all max's awesomeness, he's kinda a small timer as far as his adventures go. he beats down some random bike gang terrorizing some crappy desolate roads in the outback.. saves a random group of people in a oil pumping facility rescues some kids and a midget from a methane town (and beats up a retarded boy). if they make a 4th movie, i'm REALLY scared that max'll be come a super hero, instead of the underdogs hero. he'll end up resurecting order in all of post pocsaclips austrailia and set EVERYTHING right. that would be too much for max. I guess you could have another story of him happening along some people who need help, and he'd have to decide if they're worth it or not, but it would be odd for him to be soooo much older at this poing. and it would feel very rehash

hey david, i hear your pain man, i have a similar story but not nearly as frustraiting basicly when i got my tiburon, i wanted the GT with no sunroof (heard they were leaky), no leather, and no spoiler. i figured "i want less than what the GT offers and i'm still willing to pay the GT price. but the car i wanted didn't exist. i think this is a terrible way for car companies to do busness these days. my grampa told me about how when he would buy a new car, he could fill out a laundry list of what he wanted: Sport model with standard paint, fourspeed tranny with bench seat, and one door green one door red. and theyd DO IT. why you can't get the good audio system in your GP unlessyou get a sunroof is IDIOTIC.

i don't think its their biggest problem, but i definately agree on the useless aspect. For GM i think Buick needs to be dumped in favour of Cadillac, Saturn should be merged with Chevy, GMC should be axed all together (send all the trucks to chevy and the luxo trucks to Cadillac), and Pontiac should re-focused into a high performance sporty division in the vein of mopar, amg, mazdaspeed, etc (gee isn't that what they're supposed to be?). 365680[/snapback] I've given up, when Ford makes a truck that can even come close to giving the 'vette a run for its money, its time to reasses. I'm a loyal "old" GM fan, bel air /melt, chevelle, gto, 60's camaros, EL CAMINO!!1, 350 (my favorite motor of all time), about 30 years ago, GM was just great. today they're a joke.
