I have no idea how the fully armored VF-31 can stand on its own with all that weight on. Should I pre-tighten the hip joints before I buy the armor pack anyway just in case?

Haha thanks you sure did, and I really appreciate the nice find on the super parts set. Can't wait for them to arrive. You know, out of all the Delta squadron valks, after Messer's 31F, the next one I would most like to get is Chuck's 31E a la Elint Seeker.

Thanks - first impression, to me this looks like a "frankinstein" of the VF-25 armor parts (legs, hips and chest), tornado parts (twin cannon at the back), 171Ex arm armor/weapon pack over the shoulders, wing booster packs from the VF-25 super parts... The gattling guns reminds me of the Gouf custom weapon set from Gundam 08th MS team...

I can't help but feel that the 31S' color looks very similar to the 31J, shame that they didn't just do a "ozma" or "focker" color scheme on this, otherwise I will buy it in a heartbeat!! Wait - what, the Delta valks have armor parts??????

I just received my 31F in the mail from Mandarake and I have to say, what an absolutely gorgeous design it is (the toy I mean). I am quite seriously tempted to eat my words about the hideous color schemes of the Delta Squadron 31's and go out and get more of these...

Absolutely beautiful. I am also looking to completely reorder my collection and get a few more detolfs in the summer, and the Yetistand detolf seems like a great choice!

Actually I hadn't noticed until now - I'm also quite intrigued with the 3-screen home office setup (or is it 6 screens?) Seems like the owner is into some serious stock trading or something...

Thanks - yes I love the design of Bandai's Konig monster and will probably get that first before I decide on the HMR Monster. As usual, that picture, WOW!! -
That's probably not a bad guess; even if we all get our POs in June, demand will still be there from the people who have not preordered.

An Arad VF-31A would be nice, but if I had to choose between the Arad color scheme +31A config, or the 31F, I think I would still pick the 31F that is still quite widely available at "reasonable" prices. But I agree with you that at a $200+ price difference, compromises will be made because it's just getting a bit silly to pay more than double the MSRP, so soon after the release date. I would hand over my money in a split second if they did a VF-31A in a commemorative Focker color scheme though!

I have too many valks that I want to spend money on before I would consider splurging on a non-valk unit. The only exceptions are the HMR Destroid defender and Spartan that I got second hand for less than 4000 Yen each before shipping. Still on the fence about the price (and size) of the Monster though. -
I think we're beginning to see more 31A's for sale to milk the inflated price, before the market gets its hands on a second batch in June.

congratulations on getting your order! I hope that's a sign that they are starting to receive more units and will soon restart shipment of all the PO units to people.

The increase in popularity is a good thing for all of us because that should drive up production volumes of future new toys, and maintain a healthy second-hand market for older designs. It would be really good if there is enough demand in the market for Arcadia/Bandai to revisit the VF-1 and other earlier valk designs (VF-4, VF-11, etc), just like what Bandai did recently for the revamped YF-19.

Congrats on picking up the MB 00 QAN[T]. I think you will probably enjoy the 00 TV series too. To me the mech design is one of the better ones in the gundam universe since Gundam Seed, but with a better story (definitely much better than Seed D in my opinion). I followed Gundam 00 every week in 2008/2009 at around the same time Macross F was aired, and that was probably why I gave Frontier a miss back then (got turned off by Ranka's "cuteness" in episode one, and that was it for me.) -
Sometimes I do wonder what drives up the value of a new release in the long term, but if I can predict the market (including the second hand market of Macross toy collections), I probably won't be doing my day job anymore LOL!

Nice - the DYRL Q-rau... I think the Max Q-rau is another grail piece right? (This is what I remember from years ago, maybe in the early 2000's)?
