I have only seen them on taobao so far. Search "DX超合金 超时空要塞 VF 导弹配件包". They are going for about CNY 220 before shipping.

Agree. I was in Nakano and Akihibara a couple weeks ago and did not see any for sale. Lucky I was able to secure one on PO night.

This is why I think that Amazon JP is quite hard to beat. All-in price with international delivery at 25k, plus they were one of the first people to send out the DX VF-1J orders before the new year, with DHL delivery speed. I will likely go with them for all future POs if I can.

The price guarantee and the cheap & fast international shipping (1200 yen) made this a no-brainer for me even at MSRP base price.

whoa, the price before shipping just increased from 25,800 to 27,864. Amazon.co.jp is still the seller, not sure why the price changed. edit: 27,864 is the after-tax price = 25,800 x 1.08. Sorry, my bad.

Thanks for showing that this could be done! I have yet to receive my DX but have plenty of spare missile sets from the Yamato 1/48 to try this trick on.

That GBP, sir, looks amazing! Can you share how you applied the stickers to the armor so that they don’t peel off over time? My stickers on a 2008 1/48 have started peeling. Did you need any Mark Setter? Thanks

Ami customer here as well. For me it’s already past the point where I will receive this before I leave for two weeks. Kinda wasted the EMS shipping charge on this one too.

Exactly - I have been thinking about it since the detialed specs of the DX VF-1J was announced. I was disappointed that it went backwards from the 1/60 v2 design in this regard. When the HMR VF-1D was announced, I was also hoping it will have the same feature, but it didn’t, and that was the deal breaker for me. To me the two classic scenes I wanted to recreate with the 1D are the battroid/double seats scene, and the focker rescue with the nosecone attached to the VF-1S’s arm. I really, really hope that when Bandai does the 1/48 VF-1D, they will add this gimmick to the design...

Disgruntled amiami customer here. No updates to the shipping status yet. At this rate I don’t think it will arrive before the 9th even by EMS.

The only reason I can think of is that the J came out first, and they started working on the mold right away to try get a completed KO product out in the market before the demand dies down. What you said about the A makes a lot of sense, but I hope they get to it eventually.
