The mixed colour scheme does look lovely indeed. Goes really well with the 31S paint scheme without being too bright.

Thanks Sanity, I thought the most expensive shipping option for me was like 6-7000 yen but I can't remember. I thought 5200 Yen EMS to me is a good balance of speed/cost, so I just took that.

What? I just placed an order a few hours earlier for the armour and EMS shipping for a total of 22880 yen (shipping to East Coast US). Are we saying they have jacked up the overall shipped price to over $400 now? Sorry I'm a bit confused, and worried at the same time that they might ask me for extra shipping AFTER I had paid for my order. It's not like they haven't tried that before...

I am not too worried about Bandai not meeting production targets with the armour set compared to the 31A. With a transformable valk, the assembly process is much more complicated, and that may limit the numbers produced in a given timeframe. But for armour parts, the assembly should be much simpler, and you can swap out defective parts in a production run very easily. At least in theory. But its Bandai we are talking about here, so normal rules probably don't apply...

Just ordered at N-Y, but thinking of getting a second for insurance. Thanks for the heads-up. Waiting to see if it pops up at CDJ or other sites. AE may be a good choice but would like to see what their policy is first.

hi Pontus, I do see your point, I got the KO SSP set a while back (with the clear parts), and while at first they looked cool, I ended up displaying the SSP with the covers on as normal, and never got the clear parts out of the box again...

The radome magic... with the exception of the RVF-171 perhaps I think most other radome valk releases have been hard to get after release. Judging from last night's PO madness, I would not be surprised if the price of the 31E went up as quickly as the DX VF-1J due to shortage. But I hope that doesn't happen...

this is just my 2 cents, but from a business standpoint, it might make more sense to crank out the VF-1S first (which is a guaranteed high volume seller) to recoup as much of the development costs as possible early on. That will also give Bandai a sense of how well this thing might sell under other paint schemes. Once we get there, they may do TWE releases of the vermillion squadron (Max 1A, Kakizaki 1A) and hopefully, fingers crossed, the 1D at some point. Personally I am not too keen on the DYRL variants and I hope they will give more priority to the TV variants (Alaska base, please?) in this line.

Haha yes it’s almost fun to stay behind on a PO night just to see how quickly scalpers and NY (one could argue they are the same thing lol) jump on the opportunity and price gouge within minutes of all the PO sites sell out.

Can anyone help me do a recap of which POs sold by amazon.jp (non third party seller) shipped internationally? DX VF-1J - yes HMR VF-4 - yes HMR VF-1D - yes DX YF-19 - no? Can’t remember VF-31E - no any others?

Yes I also PO’d the VE-1 from them so it does seem a bit odd that it’s different for the 31E.

I’m not sure about that. When it gave me the error message on shipping I did go back and recheck the seller, and it was indeed amazon.jp GK.

I think amazon is a bit random when it comes to the international shipping policies for PO valks. I wonder if HG had anything to do with it, seriously.
