I will be honest and did consider biting at 30k yen, but with proxy charges and domestic shipping it will be almost 33k and that thought stopped me from going through with it. I fear this will be a repeat of the 31A pricing on auction sites going forward...

knowing how hard the PO was, I am pretty sure they will "price match" the scalpers on amazon.jp. YJA has a bunch of auctions that opened up in the last half an hour, all for a target price of 30000 yen.

I was tempted to go with nin nin for this order, but their price doesn’t seem that cheap (5% off at 18,500 yen or thereabouts). It’s the convenience factor, not the price, which is fine. I got the DX -1J from amiami last year for 16,480 yen before shipping, and am hoping for a similar price this time. But we will see. I really want to get mine from amazon.jp, but I know their PO usually comes hours later.

Thanks @borgified. The countdown timer from @Convectuoso shows 18 hours 45 mins to go, which seems to suggest Monday 3am Eastern time US (4pm Japan Time), but I will be up early anyway to make sure I don’t miss this PO madness party!

ah - so all along Bandai had made the seats much bigger than the hikaru figure for a good reason! To allow for a "plus size" Kakizaki pilot figure that will fit snugly into the space...

I ordered the SSP pack with clear parts, and the latter didn’t come with any packaging, and were just slipped into the SSP box as well.

This would probably be a tough PO night, given how quickly prices had increased for the DX VF-1J since release date. Not looking forward to having to get up early Monday morning (Eastern time US) for this... but oh well.

Thanks I think you're right. Personally I am relieved that I ordered an unopened copy from Manda for 23k in October, days after the armour was announced. Thanks for pointing that out. I am planning to use my armour set with the 31S.

Maybe there's something special about a leader valk with full armour, a trend started by Ozma's 25S...

the chest part of the armor has a tiny dragon/dagger insignia to go with Arad's 31S... but except for that I agree nothing makes it "31S specific", not even the bright orange color scheme... The only other reason I can think of is that it comes with a pair of reaction missiles (the only other set that included these were the 31J and 31C super parts, iirc).

While the price of the 31S did go up over the last few months, I think @gabuyan is right about the current market prices of about 40k Yen for a MISB copy. Ebay can't be trusted as an indicator of going market rate surely...
