I think that sounds about right - from memory, the prices on mandarake and YJA within the first couple days since release hovered at around 25000 yen. If I had to guess, the day 1 market price in the streets will probably be around 27k yen, higher than what it was for the -1J but below the 30k that scalpers on YJA seem to be asking for right now.

Will the usual suspects (HLJ, Amiami, CDJ, AE, and god forbid, NY) carry this one? How bad were the previous PO madness for this line? I might stay up and get one tonight as well if I can.

I would say keep watching the sites for more stock. This happened with the DX VF-1J and the 31E (I think, not 100% sure). Others would probably chime in with their success stories, but I have seen amazon.jp and HLJ do this on a couple of the previous POs, so keep checking, and good luck!!

Yes and after Amazon Japan GK sold out, there was a third party vendor that put his up for 19,440 yen and with an initial shipping charge (overseas allowed) of about 7000 yen, then reduced it to 950 yen. I don't know if anyone had put an order in through him but that would have been a killer of a deal!

@Valkyrie23 first posted the non-3P Amazon Japan link here at 05:35. When I checked at around 05:41, it was still available, but was gone the next minute. So I think the PO lasted for about 6 to 7 minutes on amazon JP, which is a miracle considering how the other vendors sold out in less than a minute. The bots must have been caught off guard because there were many other amazon scalpers who put up their links there long before Amazon Japan GK went live.

My hope is that Bandai will up the production number for the Roy 1S, since they KNOW demand will be the strongest for this one amongst all other variants. Kinda like how they decided to reissue Roy's VF-25S. But yeah, going forward all POs for DX VF-1's will be extremely difficult.

Keep checking for the chance of more POs opening up. All is not lost. This has been a crazy PO night though by recent standards, or so I was told.

That’s a great price shipped isn’t it? I’m still in disbelief (a happy one) that I managed to secure mine on amazon Japan for Y18000 + Y1200 shipping. Most other PO sites charge way more than that in shipping.

Guys check the amazon JP link again. Another 3P seller is selling for 19440 + 950 yen shipping. Ships overseas too. I tried to add to cart and it didn’t reject my overseas address.

Agree - it's ridiculous how scalpers take advantage of the no deposit preorder at zero cost and risk, and the only investment is time (and bots to compete with live human bids, i.e. moi).

The same is happening on the YJA listings. The "buy out" prices have started at 30k yen but I am starting to see it dropping to 29k yen. Still ridiculous though.
