  1. Building a 144 scene with a Brownie at the moment of trapping on a carrier HOWEVER... everything I've read says the Arrestor hook is actually a pair of hooks (first issue) and that they are miles off axis in the legs (second issue)... Cant find any images of this though. So... I'm wondering if I can fudge this into something SLIGHTLY more practical and make it two hooks that extend from the Arms to meet at a single hook. I can't do two as thats just plain dumb and would be virtually impossible to trap on a moving deck by catching BOTH hooks. Catching one would violently yaw the plane so this option is out. The gunpod stops a single hook BUT two could wrap around the gun fins and meet at a single hook... Even more oddball would be a hook on the gun itself... Thoughts?
  2. We got that as a work runner but ended up going back up the the 675 and the Aprilia RSV4. Had a BMW SS1000RR for awhile in Townsville but left it when I moved back to NZ. Fun dodging 6pm Roos thats come down to the highways for the warmth!
  3. lol... that would actually work well, as long as you never mention what it used to be!
  4. I had a green stunt bike, a Green supercharged Accord and half my work DPMs used to be Green... weird. So many green things... As to the lights... how it happened? They likely sourced the components from China, the only place where production runs of LEDs could still get mixed up without anyone ever being aware.
  5. make one out of a sheet of mirrored acrylic and a skateboard bearing
  6. nice

  8. a really old vintage Dragon models air combat series kit. Its only really base coated so far, still working on it between other projects. http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/n188199757 http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/e193909159 http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/t489449435 These are some for sale right now
  9. Reasonably frustrating...
  10. I want a ride for that takeoff
  11. in fact that was the cause of the Female Carrier pilots death as she came in to trap in an f14... single engine stalled out and the F14 slicing to the side and into the drink behind the carrier. Both engines are on until landed,
  12. yeah I'm thinking the Nipako bus for a better obvious damage effect
  13. remember to check those lights befroe installing them, if you have them
  14. hahaI downloaded this alittle while back while working on my carrier deck diorama scene
  15. Naa....this one was to be 01 on Catapult Ready 1 but its going to have to be relegated to 06 and be parked on the Carrier Elevator with the canopy open and the pilot removed. I'll just have to write off the light unit as a loss.
  16. Yay!! I get to test the Tomytec Warranty service now.... Nothing quite as gutting as setting up a new VF-31a on a new Carrier deck base, wiring it up to hidden wiring then flicking the switch ANNNNNDDDD...... we see a blue left engine and white right one... WTF??!!
  17. BE WARNED ALL the OP11 light kits need to be powered up and checked BEFORE mounting them into your model as I have one now glued into a VF-31a that has a single blue LED and a White one for the other engine!!
  18. yeah...its... an iffy part, you either get a gap there or between that piece and the long back spine it fits on the end of. Fitting on the OP11 lights isn't fun either but WORST of all is supergluing it all together THEN finding out you have one blue engine (which isn't even an option with the lighting kits!!) and one white one!!!
  19. I know where there was, yesterday, 27 still in stock at one retailer for 3020Yen...
  20. Or the Macross Race Planes...
  21. LOVE Yukikaze!
  22. ahhh I see, no idea, hoping for a VE-1 and VF-1D, then Destroids, then Super and Super Strike packs, then missing the VF31s then ANYTHING! I take anything after that!
  23. I remove mine with the snips first then a blade to shave off the excess 1 down, 6 31s to go but at least its a fun production line I've modded mine slightly so a thin black enamal coated copper wire runs from the OP11 light boards contacts > left and right engine pods > down each rear Undercarriage leg like a brakeline so they meet a tiny socket in the carrier flight deck to enable the engines to light up without anything obvious underneath.
  24. The VF31 kits require a bit of glue in fighter mode but WOW the finished product is gorgeous! They have even silvered the inside of the body panels to avoid light leakage with the OP11 kits! The 31A looks really nice on the carrier deck.
