Nice to know. The English says clear red and clear green. Oh well an excuse to go for a hoon into the city on the Aprilia to get the paint

hmmm on further research I think its a mix of Mr Hobby H35 Cobalt Blue and Mr Hobby H25 Blue... their translator failed us team.

Was about to test out the new canopy masks on a 35th anniversary VF-1 when i discovered in the instructions its claiming the blue body and canopy colour is made from 60% Clear Green and 40% Clear Red.... ahhhhh no... no that just makes a mess of a colour similar to baby puke. Anyone have a clue what the blue actually SHOULD be?

Noise is where his code for the flicking isn't predicable... his engines flicker in intensity and also colour... so it looks like real flame and not an LED.

The wave kits are Brilliant! They fit together well. are even able to be slapped together glue free, have plenty of room for electronics if you wish, full articulation for posing and virtually all seams are hidden.
-
that's Will Vales Viper from here in NZ. He used an Adruino board to do the lighting with his own coding for the "noise" that makes the engines flicker so believably. Unfortunately he wont share the coding with ANYONE.

Ahhhh... what is it?

hmmmm its a pretty simple mod to make the feet slip in after painting so not sure they are required. Maybe a mask to go around the front upper intakes though.- 60 replies

Need Help With VF-1 Valkyrie Identification Please
NZEOD replied to ChristopherB's topic in Model kits
Looking at the 9 VF-1 models I'm building right now including the VF-1D Fast Pack ,which I had to slice the top main body shell in half with a razor saw at that same point the one in your picture separates at, I'd say that's a conversion of a Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1 kit. Exactly the same panel lines on the main body and wings as all mine and it appears to still have the tailfin locating indentations on the rear body where they would have been glued into. The cockpit has the same rear detail omitted as the Hasegawa has too... the two round rear cockpit vents that should be right behind and above the back of the seat that are in all the images and included in the VF-1D but not the single seaters... -

New Macross TV Series in 20xx (sometime this decade)
NZEOD replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
And top un like flight scenes.... maybe the macross team just needs to spend a weekend locked in a small windowless room watching topgun, yukikaze and macross plus on infinite repeat until they either break or get the message -
Definitely magnets. And it's fun fighting the tiny buggers when you go to mount the second one and the magnetic field from the first one keeps attracting it or causing it to flip

Like the 2 Queadlunns too and the Gundam sniper thing taking aim mid street. Meanwhile... Made a quick acrylic template for a 1/72 Elevator on a Nimitz Class Carrier... and the VF1 Production line is back in full swing 3 x VF-1, 1 VF-1D likely to become a Scorpions VF-1EA and a VT-1 Trainer. Note... just finished cutting out a 1/144 Elevator deck piece too for the GiMix and F-Toys Valks

Yep!

Which are you doing? I'e done a resin one as vf-41 the black aces cag

She's off to Rome then home to Germany in 2 weeks for a visit and even offered to grab any modelling stuff I want there. Guessing whaty she wants will be huge in return!

So I got my butt into gear and starting building... Another Carrier deck... Another coupe of VF-1Js and VF-1Ds and a VT-1... Then found I needed some French blue for the VF-213 machine and some Insignia Red for the Navy Trainer scheme and the Diamondbacks CAG plane... some how... its a trap I think... but somehow the other half agreed to letting me buy more paint (I have a Shite load of it already) so off we went. The sense of impending doom only increased when she smiled and acted all happy... I ended up spending $140 at Modelair (thankfully open on a Sunday!) and spent nearly 1 hour in the shop nosing through all their stuff... she didn't complain once and even had a good look herself AND found the paints I was after... Once home she left me to build, complaint free, we had dinner and she then asked to watch Topgun with me....
