Good thing is that they're including new option parts for this release(hard point anti air missiles and leg conformal tank), hence they would be interchangeable with the 0D. Not sure if Focker's will get new hard point missiles, but most likely wing hardpoint propellant tank. If they're popular enough, they should release the ghost and GBP separately, and then slightly retooled SV-51s.

So no pre-order madness for Arcadia due its high price tag?

I am looking for screenshots of non-personalised versions of the VF-25F, VF-27(gamma), YF-29 and any other worth including since they don't appear in mainstream media. I stumbled across the one for the VF-25S ad a few others. Found one for these It appears that all of them have a grey color scheme.

Has anyone bought two VF-25S and VF-25F so that they could be displayed in both armored and super pack, which looks good for comparison? I've got the pair of Altos and one Ozma and now contemplating to get an extra used Ozma and get his cheap super parts, but the price of the main figure has gone up by 2000 yen in two months.
-
That was quick. It is probably from all those people who cancelled due to having 2 at HLJ.
-
I have 3 in total and I'll need to cancel one from CD Japan soon, but not any time within this week. PM me if you are interested and I then I'll reply when I actually make the cancellation.

Darn, I bought an extra used Alto + Super Parts Renewal. Now I have Alto in both super and armored pack.
-
I got the Gunbuster, and 2 VF-1Js this time. Might cancel one if I could get a better price elsewhere and then swap the armor for a super pack off the future VF-1A or Max's J. So Macross pre-order madness every month. This will probably just apply to the VFs and the Glaug.

Amiami back up again. Will probabIy close tomorrow. The real star of this Bandai day is the Gunbuster. It is always the top tier diecast lines. Hi Metal is nowhere near top tier Bandai.

Not trying to jack up demand, but is this guy worth getting for the 1/100s? http://hlj.com/product/BAN977905/Sci

My most recent Macross toy... Yet not Macross Related!!
calubin_175 replied to dodiano's topic in Toys
So are they all 1/60 VFs on the USS Flagg? Actually, I was wondering what carrier would be suitable for 1/144 VF planes? -
Damn, people are really hyped up for this line. Despite being 1/100, there WILL be pre-order madness. But then it also depends if people really want to buy the destroids as they aren't too iconic. The Glaug and the VFs will definitely get pre-order madness though.

It appears that Bandai is going the smart route of merchandising popular and classic mecha that hasn't had a modern toy/model kit. I guess it always works, especially with 80s stuff. They've done L Gaim, Dunbine and Vifam. Blue Spartan as exclusive please. The Spartan appears to be the prototype of all western ground mecha as Battletech and Mech Warrior took cues from it. Meanwhile, you could find the entire lineup of arii kits here. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/arii/arii_orig.htm

Is this guy worth getting? The price seems good and there is a lot of stock on Yahoo Japan. I am personally not too fond of the design and highly prefer the Destroid Monster. The Konig is to scale with MacrossF Robot Damashiis, but is it 1/100? What are the pros and cons of this figure? How much diecast?

Lima, Peru Macross fans?
calubin_175 replied to jvmacross's topic in Juguetes, Modelos y Estatuillas
I went to Lima Peru in 2013 and there was an anime toy centre there. -
Damn it, took the plunge to preorder one from auction for 26k yen with free domestic shipping.

I am guessing that when Kawamori designed VF-1 in the early 80s, he envisioned it as something beyond the fourth generation modern fighters at the time(F-14, F-15) and adding the abstract Japanese aesthetics of anime sci-fi. Then with Macross Zero, he made the VF-0 and SV-51 match the aesthetics of the fourth generation fighters and even included an overtechnology F-14 to show the link in-universe.
-
Yamato's 1/60 v2 were only 9800 yen back in the day, despite being slightly post GFC times. But post GFC Bandai seriously overpriced everything.
-
Just a friendly reminder that the VF 100's line that failed was pretty ambitious and they even included Macross Zero as a possible future release. This poster was inviting people to participate in a questionnaire for future releases. It is currently unknown whether Bandai has the rights to Macross PLUS, 7 and Zero. However, they did plan for a YF-21 Hi Metal back in the day. Oh wow, even the VT-1, VE-1 and VF-4 are on there. But the usually VF-4 gets more love than VF-3000, VA-3 etc.
-
I am not versed in aviation, but could anyone explain why the VF-0 looks more like a modern fighter plane than the VF-1, especially with the delta wing variant?
-
It is an old magazine scan, from a bit after the VF-19 kai was about to be released. The YF-21 had a prototype all along but was never released.
-
I think we are likely to get Focker and Max in the next two months, and Milia and brown VF-1A as exclusives, hopefully with Super Pack included. I think the Spartan would be shelved for a while until Regult comes out. They should really release the Tomahawk first despite this Spartan being the only modern figure out. The VFs will mostly be regular releases and then the destroids may mainly be exclusives depends on how they test the waters. It also appears that Robot Damashii releases have slowed down, so maybe more slots for VF- Hi Metal releases.

Getting 6 armored parts for Ozma and Alto now must be super tough.
