  1. I would've voted for both if it was an option. The 1/60 versions are obviously going to be produced since Yamato is planning a 1/60 Monster. If they decide to release 1/48 versions, the line could come with hinged cockpit hatches, removable pilots, removable panels for internal detail, removable missles and light-up searchlights. Edit in- 1/48 Monster exempt, that would be like ludicrous speed.
  2. One word, fugly. Regult is exempt.
  3. Hey robbobtuso, the steps I take for applying Takatoys stickers are: 1. Use a clean rag with water, a few drops of dishwashing soap, wipe the valk of oil and mold release agents. Use a second rag with only water to clean the valk of soap and then dry with a third rag. This will get you the best surface for adhesion. 2. Use scissors and a hobby knife (used with a ruler) to cut each mark. Tweezers come in very handy for placement. A toothpick to press stickers into panel lines. 3. Finally, use your fingers to firmly press the sticker into place. I have NOT cut any of my U.N. Spacy kite emblems on the fuselage and they still are on there. I also don't think that sanding down the top of the landing gear to get rid of the gap in the fuselage is a good idea. Especially if you plan on attaching some FPs on your valk.
  4. The obvious difference is the bluish color for the DYRL FPs and a greyish color for the TV FPs. The DYRL arm FP has a "U" shape at the front where it houses those missle looking things. The TV arm FP has a straight line at an angle. And I think the forward edge of the leg FPs are also different.

That's easily fixed with an exacto knife. Voted with FP, the FPs will be handed over to Mr. Low-Vis or Mr. CF, whoever wins the cage match.
  6. Well, this is gonna spoil us Macross fans even more. Now we lucky fans get to chose which version of a valk we want? For me it's gotta be the 1J with FPs, I'm sure my Low-Vis will appreciate the FPs (maybe even color-wise?) over being a nekkid valk. Plus, I'm sending the signal to Yamato to go ahead and release 1/48 M&M with FPs. If Yamato decides to release a Low-Vis color FP set, the 1J FPs will go to a CF, just like Etrigan plans. B) Either way we the fans win, only our wallets will endure the wrath of YAMATO.
  7. It reminds me of the tv series "Babylon 5". An organization of telepaths, Psi-corp, wore that symbol on their person. Hmmm, verry in-tresting. <_
  8. So I'm thinking that the pre-order for the Hikaru 1J will be available within a month since it's usually two months prior to a 1/48s release that the pre-orders go up. It's about time for a SDF Macross paint scheme, can't wait to see pics of the pilot with his SDF flightsuit.
  9. I think M66 means that the neck mount is not rotated to the correct position. It's kinda hard to tell M66, if you hadn't pointed out something was amiss, I don't think anyone would've noticed. That stuffed 1S would make a wacky addition to my collection. Anybody know if there are patterns, since one of my sister's hobbies is to sew.
  10. Welcome to MW KiraYamato! Master WM, another great custom. How about some close ups of your oil washes on the engines?

Those unfinished transformations were a good laugh.
  12. I guess Graham liked that opening sequence so much that he wanted to get all of the details on his 1/48 Hikaru 1A.
  13. I think it's gonna be Macross bliss (the only casulty will be your wallet). This line has a lot going for it, as seen by the custom-inspired Low-Vis. Fans have requested all of the valks in the Macross series, and Yamato has mostly listened to the fans. At the most we'll get 1/60 versions of the larger valks, but we all know that the 1/60 Monster is even bigger than any 1/48 valk.
  14. Looks like many of us got duped with those cleverly angled pics of the dreaded MPC. I admit I was one and fortunately I was able to unload that monstrosity.
  15. How can you tell the bootlegs from the official release?
  16. At the bottom of this page.
  17. Great custom job, Deadzone. What exact paints did you use on him?
  18. Here's Hasegawa's Decal Map, which should come in pretty handy.
  19. Thanks, CHAN. Impressive, most impressive! I hope you don't live in an earthquake prone area since those fighters are so close to the edge of that shelf.
  20. You say that like it's a bad thing. I was just commenting that the Bandai 1/55 release isn't the only one now to have a black heatshield. The canon color is red (as seen in Yamato's 1/48 Hikaru 1S Pics), whenever it's black in the animation it is supposably in "shadow". Anyway, I think both colors look great on Hikaru's 1S. Just one word Bub, Where?!
  21. There goes that black heatshield again, plus black background for the Jolly Rogers skull on the booster.
  22. Macross Plus for me, each M+ valk release would add variety to the 1/48 line. If Yamato isn't sure about these rather large items, they could test the waters with a YF-19, first. I'm positive the line will keep doing well, it has all of my support.
  23. You guys really need to calm down when going through the "How to Transform" instruction booklet.
  24. Good God Man!!! Did you just finish a case of Yoshinol?!
  25. What's "GBS Armour"? If you meant GBP armor, then that's what I want on my Hikaru 1J. Just how many times have we all stated our desire for this bad-ass armor? It's Yamato's job now to shut us up.
