I just got my Miria Q-Rau today for only $92 shipped. I guess the drawback is that it came with a loose right leg. I unscrewed the hip joint and the three screws at the top of the leg, but the leg will not separate. Any suggestions? Also, what would be the best method for getting rid of the loosy leg: cover the ball-joint with masking tape, nail polish (used this for the Banprestos, not to sure if I wanna on a Yamato), or something I haven't heard of yet? Little help here, please.

Based on the reviews and pics in this thread, I went ahead and cancelled my pre-order. Guess I'll just have to get a Gakken version.

The takatoys stickers look even better when you brush on some Testors Clear Flat Finish (#FS 30000) before you cut them out. This will get rid of the sheen that the stickers have at a certain angle. They look more like decals on my 1/48s.

For now I'm just pre-ordering the blue Alpha for $69. I saw it and held the production sample at MWCon4. Everything about it was great, the only drawback is that it's on the small side. So getting it for $10 below list price is alright with me. I will only get the other varients if, I mean when I find them at a discount.

If you like Heat, you'll enjoy Collateral. It's worth the price of admission and then some. I really like the way that Mr. Mann shoots L.A. at night, especially those downward shots. Might see it again this weekend. Cruise, Foxx, and Pinkett-Smith are at their best.

If Yamato plans to reissue Roy's 1S, I hope it's the tv version (cockpit, arms, "mickey mouse" hands, black arrows on head, and pilot with gray(?) and black flightsuit). I know most fans will double dip on the Skull. So, go ahead Yamato, make our day.

I really want the CF. Hopefully Yamato has this next on their list. Then maybe a limited version (a la low-vis) of the CF with the J head. After that, they can release all of the different VF-1 varients, cuzz I want them all.

Yup, Takatoys' 1/48 stickers are great. When viewed at a certain angle you can notice a sheen. I prefer a flat finish, so I use a 1/4" wide brush and Testor's Model Master Clear Flat Finish #FS30000. I just applied all the stickers for Hikaru's 1J and they almost look like they are painted on. Can't wait to start on Max & Miria.

You can click back the feet of the 1/48 one more time, and the lower leg forward one more time to get a better looking gerwalk pose.
