Interesting. He's getting people asking for refunds due to lack of contact on TFW2005, at least when I went to do a search on his name? Hope the person's okay.

Sponsored by NASCAR?

Of course. We're still in wait-and-see mode with Arcadia as they don't appear to be in a rush to get info out. As for others? I'm not sure how likely that would be, honestly. If anyone else did end up making them, it would probably be through buying the Yamato molds. I'm not so sure a company would create their own VF-1 1/48 molds. A fan could possibly do it but the likelihood of that happening and a company picking it up for mass production seems more of a pipe dream. So back to searching the intertubes I go. Hoping I end up with a nice massive chunk of money while simultaneously finding some great deals on 1/48's

I thought Toynami did the Betas and Aoshima licensed them?
-
This is what I'm afraid of. I'm not quite in the market yet due to budget, sadly, so I'll have to wait and hope for the best for now. If Arcadia does come around to making Valks again, perhaps we'll eventually get lucky. That's not a bet I'd really want to make, though.
-
Size still matters. I much prefer the 1/48 size. A V2 1/48 would be great.

If Toynami put out a good Valk, there would be a fair amount of mixed feelings

Not just that. My kids will get a huge kick out of seeing such a huge Transformer. They love Unicron and Primus already.- 16946 replies

That shouldn't be too bad, then. My blue Alpha has held up pretty well over the years so the Beta's shortcomings shouldn't be a huge deal. Though, I am tempted. There's been a lot of Aoshima Legioss/Tread combos up for sale pretty cheap. I kind of want to get one just to check it out.

This is good to hear. I'll probably be picking one up pretty soon to go with my sole MPC Alpha.

Perhaps I'll have to pick up some V2's in the future. My 1/60's are a 1A Max, VE-1, and VT-1 and the Max was really more just to buy something besides some 1/55's while I was in Japan back in 2002. Sadly, with limited funds and multiple things on my list, a 1/60 is pretty low right now. Still, I do prefer the size of the 1/48 to the 1/60.
-
I'd love to see more 1/48's. I'm apparently a misfit as I've never been big on the 1/60's as they're a bit on the small side. Sadly, I have no 1/48's but it's pretty high on my list to pick at least one up in the relatively near future.
-
If I'm going to spend on new Valks from the Yamato builds, it will be primarily at 1/48. I1/60's are okay but not my preference. 1/72 is right out. Then again, I'm mainly talking about the original series. I'm probably not likely to buy as much in the way of the newer series; my limited funds would go toward Mospeada,Transformers, and other hobbies first.

Hey, I'm still holding out hope for 1/48 VE-1 and VT-1 toys to make their way to me
-
I'd hope they would release some 1/48's as well.

Why do I somehow get the feeling this will end up in a similar situation to the G1 Jetfire if Arcadia doesn't come around?- 16946 replies

There's far worse options than Bandai. Uninspired toys are still better than no toys at all. That or hoping for a Chinese or Korean company to make some knock-offs. Toynami could always try and grab those licenses as well. We might end up wishing for Bandai
-
While I would rather see Arcadia produce toys or have some other company come along and do as well, Bandai cranking out toys once every decade or two still ends up better than new toys never or waiting for Joons and company to come around again
-
Hopefully. The silence is awkward, however. Surely they could do something involving communication without such information?
-
Toynami should jump in Okay, we'd probably have to be pretty desperate to go that far

Mine's pretty tough in a couple spots. Mainly the chest key slot trying to get the head up and the leg cannons. Yeesh. Luckily got one with a key. She was able to get through transforming it back and forth without too much problem and loved the sound and lights while doing it.. I haven't done the size comparison to Unicron with her yet (I've got Unicron as well).- 16946 replies

Well, damn. Looks like I'll have to find another image. It's Cybertron Primus. She saw pictures of it and has been thrilled with it.- 16946 replies

Looks like my oldest is on the robot kick. She's been bugging me for one of these, particularly after getting to play with Unicron a bit. She's most excited and asks when it's arriving each day I get home. Kind of fun. First toy I've been able to purchase in years.- 16946 replies

This is about right. Keeping it standing isn't too bad. That or I've just gotten used to finding the sweet spot. The hip and leg pieces, though. That always gets me. I'll move it from one spot to another. One of those little pieces falls off. The wheels for me have been decent in armor mode thus far so I can't complain but I also can go a year easily without touching it which probably helps.
