I saw an auction in ebay earlier and the guy claims that only 2000 of the VF-1D kits were ever produced.
I doubt the run was that low. How many were really released?
Has anyone else gotten their kit yet? Any comments?
I haven't gotten mine yet and I'm really excited to get it. Every day that it doesn't arrive is agony.
OMG. You actually considered price? With all of the Gazillion valks you currently have, price was actually a consideration at one point?
Well, I guess you're human after all. Or at least you were at one point.
Some moron actually paid you $260 for it? You are talking USD right? Even in Canadian dollars, you ahve to be a complete muppet to pay that much for a Master Peice of Crap.
Yes. Here's proof:
MPC Auction
It doesn't matter what Yamato labels it as. I doubt they are going to sculpt a TV 1A head. So if the box says 'TV version', it'll still have the DYRL version head.
Just like the 1/60 TV cannon fodder. It says right on the box 'TV version' but the valk has a DYRL head.
Personally, despite the head issue, I hope they release it as a TV version so it comes with a TV pilot and hands.
edit: typo
This is something I hope gets made. I have a few other things higher on the priority list but these destroids are definitely neede in 1/72 scale.
I'm extremely happy The Cap decided to make the Regult because that was at the top of my list. As everyone knows, there is an existing kit in 1/72 scale but, like the destroid kits, they're very hard to find and aquire.
There will definitely be a market for new high quality destroid kits in 1/72 scale.
Who specifically has an 80x80 avatar?
In the for sale section, check out the low viz w/ fast packs thread. There, I noticed jezter101 and mibmz have larger avatars.
Is that near Podunk?
Pretty close, The Town of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee has one grocery store, a few used car lots and a mexican restaurant, ....Oh and a Super Walmart:
I was just wondering because I live in BFE.
Those look really great. I agree with ewilen, although I can't state it as eloquently, it reminds me of the old box art. I wish I could paint like that. Imagine what you could do with the The Cap's new Regult!
