@derex3592 I guess that's why I haven't been posting. All that 'boring' work is gonna pay off, I'm sure. @MechTech I'm not sure what the dots are on the tubes but I'm very curious now. About 90% of everything I learned about building, I learned from your build ups way back. Good to see you building. You're right about the differences a few decades make. The planes look very different.

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hasegawa-65761-f-14--1072239 According to Scalemates, the Macross Zero F-14 kit is from 1977! There's a later kit from 1988 they could have used. I've been looking for the Zero version of the F-14 for a long time but now, dunno if I want to buy such an old kit.

@F18LEGIOSS Another miria build. Awesome! Looks good so far. Those comparison shots are interesting. They have very similar proportions. This is encouraging for the prospects of a Hasegawa 1/48 Battroid.

@20max20 You are a prolific builder! All of those kits built in such a short amount time. They look great! @Dobber Your enterprise looks amazing! The finish on it looks like it was a very time intensive process. It looks great lit up, too! @Grayson72 That Zentraedi ship is just crazy huge! What's the scale on that? @peter The landing gear is tough to get right on these little valks. They don't fit quite right and trimming them just right is a laborious process. I stick a little ball of blu-tac in the bay and press the doors down on top until everything is flush. Then I just glue in place. @Chas As far as mounting Miria's valk, I figure I'll just put her on one of those horrible Hasegawa stands. Also, thanks to everyone else that also said kind words and showed interest in the finished build. The positive feedback feels good and motivates me to keep building! You guys are the best!

@MechTech I guess you're right. If this is helpful for members, then it's worth it. If I do post a rare sheet, I will secretly put in a small, inconsequential change to know if I'm the source of a bootlegger's original scan.

I feel like we're just helping out the black market decal bootleggers here. Every rare set of decals we post in detail is one less they need to hunt down themselves.

Wow, almost forgot to post my update after seeing all of your guys' stuff. Just getting the pilot ready and she's all done!

@MechTech The bolts on that gun look great! The level of precision you achieve is astounding. Also, that base for the gun you vacuformed is impressive as well. @Dobber Thank you! @Thom Your mods on that Nautilus look good. It looks like a trivial thing to space it out a quarter inch but it is actually a bit of work so hats off to you. And @Grayson72 you're building one digitally! But that's cheating! Jk, looks great. @peter Thanks for the update anyhow even if you think it's not very exciting. I mainly enjoy how you give us updates on your ups and downs both. @Convectuoso That bb8 looks great. Those bandai kits are nice to work with. I built a 3po a weeks back and it went together with no problems. There was a lot of posts! Keep building and posting guys.

Can someone please post a Kids Logic miniature alongside its RPG Tactics counterpart? I want to see the difference in quality.

I'm gonna apply some light dry brushing to the edges of the armor parts. My AC has been out so it's brutal to sit in my workroom for too long. In the meantime, it'll have to stay as is.

@MechTech I just recently refurbished a Hasegawa valk but unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the process. It would have been perfect to start the thread.

We should start a thread about refurbishing old models. I guess it would be similar to the "what's on your workbench" thread.

@MacrossJunkie Your Ivanov looks convincingly weathered. Good job! I could never have the courage to do that to an expensive collectible. @Chas That red Legioss reminds me of my build. It looks great. I bought the green one a while back on clearance and I'm tempted to build it now. Anyhow, I'm just waiting for the glue to dry then I'll attach the legs and little light bits. Then, done!

@derex3592 Your office looks like it doesn't have much room for much else now! Then again, it belongs at work because building that thing must have felt like a full time job! It has a commanding presence. @Chas Your pair of Legioss (Legi-ii???) are looking great. That finishing stretch always feels great. I try to avoid building multiples of a kit at once. I tend to get overwhelmed and put the project back on the shelf.
