  1. So they didn't screw up? yay, one movie worth seeing!! Thanks for the review.
  2. Curious how I find some of this figures to be more disturbing than one of those gory McFarlane toys.
  3. When I saw this thread a few weeks ago and learned what the series was a about I just couldn't resist giving it a try. My hunger for bread has increased greatly since doing so. I just love this series
  4. As I said, you can use part of the winning number of a given lottery on a given day, that way you won't have this kind of problems.
  5. Haven't cared for Transformers in ages but the idea of a good looking Starscream is to much (loved my old G1 version as a kid). Can't resist transforming planes. And that little Optimus looks really nice.... by the way, my wallet is starting to hate this whole site.
  6. On a forum that I frequent they do this kinds of lotteries all the time. For example, now I have two numbers for a mobile phone someone is giving away. Numbers go from 00 to 99 and the winner will be decided by the last two figures of the winning lottery number this Friday on the country I live in. For this to work there have to be a minimum of bought numbers, any less and the thing is cancelled (in this forum they first see how many people are interested and then, when they see they have enough, they say where the money is to be deposited). To set this up we would need a person in charge of receiving the money of each participant. A respectable dealer who’s a member of MW would be a very good choice. After receiving the money from everyone (the ones that don’t pay on a given moment would be kicked out), we just need a given random event (like a specific lottery). Whoever wins gets his valk and just pays for the shipping (or not if it’s decided that way) and the rest of the money goes to Shawn or Graham (for MW) or whatever charity is decided.
  7. Ditto
  8. But after being done all those panel lines look like they are really worth it
  9. Personally I would go for an inbetween look. Really like how the white parts look on the MAX. Great job.
  10. He was a normal playable character in the Japanese version of Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. link That guy was great fun You should find him in the mame ROM
  11. Sorry, those aren't mine. Only googled them up. Only Vehicle Voltron I had was a bootleg of the gummy looking one
  12. "Voltron, transform and roll out, literally"
  13. Vehicle all the way. Fifteen vehicles to form a big robot is just cool (and they even combine to do the air, water and earth transports). Plus having all those crew members running aroung was nice. I kinda remember it being more dark than Lion Voltron (although I read that they censored a lot of the deaths in Lion V.). Overall it was more Sci-fi (no princess and castles), wich I liked a lot as a kid.
  14. Loved Mazinger Z when I was a kid. Saw some episodes a week ago and... I still like it as part of my childhood but the spanish sub just sucks. Still remember all the drawings I did of old Mazinger. Never got a decent toy of him. I also liked the car Voltron... I mean Dairugger. All those characters made it different and stand out more for me. I had a cheap plastic toy versión that could transform (in a primitive way). Hope the Soul of Chogokin line does something someday. Now the Lion Voltron I did have in a more than decent toy version. That thing was sure fun to play with.
  15. This guy says on his blog that it tastes like "cheap candy" He also had a link to this precious FF related video: RPG worlds are retarded
  16. Mac +. Many things to see and do (and you don't have to be cooked up on a ship that could squash you while it transforms or have to reconstruct human society from asses).
  17. I'll wait for them to release a Fenix Down. Bringing back the dead beats 100 HP any day.
  18. So this is thanks only to the fact that Toynami isn't going to build any "robotech: the movie" stuff ever, right?. Had they plans for a line this toy would be banned as all the SDF Macross valks are outside of Japan. Lucky for Megazone 23 lovers. Saving $50 on a 1/48 valk... thinking about how things could be just makes me want to cry .
  19. I think that as long as we are alive we will see not so cheap Macross stuff. But then again, if a lot of us, the current collectors, get bored of collecting or have enough stuff (if that exists) then prices will go down because there wont be any interest in the franchise from the younger generations (unless they do more Macross).
  20. If you want to talk about REAL censorship, move to North Korea, China (Google is gladly helping the Communist Chinese government) crack down on people they don't like [pro-democracy supporters, Christians, etc.], but Google won't help the US government go after pedophiles and terrorists), and pretty much the entire Middle East. For all the bitching, moaning, and lies being spouted out by the likes of George Clooney, Michael Moore, and now the Wachowski's, if the US and West have become such a dark, "facist", "police state" place, why do these guys have no problems getting their movies and messages out and making fools of themselves if this is indeed the case? It is wise to remain vigilant and make sure that the tools that we are using to fight the bad guys of today aren't used and misused in the future on our own population, but what these guys in Hollywood and the far Left are doing by the way they are always throwing George Bush, our troops, and our country under the bus all the time and giving moral support and comfort for the enemy solely for the purpose of political gain is just down right wrong and evil. ...and again, Larry Wachowski will have to fund his sex change operation with someone else's money. 378669[/snapback] We are talking about a movie based around a comic that criticized a right wing democratic government of the time it was written in. Today the most representative right wing democratic country, like it or not, is the US. If they intent to make a movie for the general public (who mostly don't even know what a Margaret Thatcher is), the idea of using the current political situation is the most business wise and true to the original work. If you feel offended by this, I recommend you read or re-read the original V for Vendetta, you won't see any direct reference to the United States, Bush or whatever regarding the current situation of things that could upset you (criticism regarding the abuse of power and the danger of cutting down liberties, among other things, will still be there tough). Now, if we want to discuss about Hollywood’s political tendencies or how the US is portrayed, this is not the place. We will only see this thread closed if we do this. So lets stick to the usual “this movie raped my childhood†rants because this movie is veeeery politically charged .
  21. Well, at least no Fukada equals something good... If he was directing his, halfway though the first episode the new characters would be abandoned and Kira +crew would be brought back to fill the remainining 37 and a half minutes .
  22. Yeah, episode 32 makes you go "WTF " . I guess you can pass Rukongai as being an in between zone, a purgatori of sorts. Also, if Quincys (or whatever), can destroy souls in the real world, maybe in Rukongai if you "die" again, it's your soul that dies (seing as there are only souls there). There aren't any more big "WTF's" after that (I think). When the anime follows the manga it's good (the recent filler episodes have been boring).
  23. I guess so . I don't remember anybody asking for the dog. Was he even in the Buddhist temple mission? Wonder how much the panda will last...
