    The Takara version in dino mode with the bowtie, drinks and tha apron is just pure perfection (really, I like dino mode that much over the robot one). Now for those who want robot mode grims, the Hasbro version sure looks good.

    Is the GFF Metal composite or whatever Unicorn PT or do you swap parts? I'm going to get the Super HCM-Pro version but mught pick the big one if they do PT.

    I see a support stick on monster mode but the arms and guns look very well supported on their own. Look's better than the Yamato IMO. Very buyable

    Lets hope Bandai finally goes full steam ahead with Macross. The 27 was a leap forward but I think the groin could have had more movement had the Yamdai team had a bigger budget/more time/not been restricted to reuse parts of the 25.

    So another team with ties to Yamato did the 27? Nice and it shows. This one is more complicated while the 25 is a lot more simple.

    Picked my 27 from customs yesterday. Boy was the amiami box HUGE in a stupid way. If anybody want's the poster, give me a PM. Benefited from a last minute change in customs policy so I didn't get ass raped as much as I was fearing. The 27 certanly is a step beyong the 25. The chest transformation is a lot more complex (had to use the manual for this one). Anyways, how do you angle the crotch piece? The manual has a pic of it and on the 25 that part pops easilly but on my 27 it looks like it can't move (and yet it has the waist joint there).

    First they made the goofy almost spandex like armor of the comics look like a real suit of hi-tech awesome armor and now they top that making the cheesy suitcase armor work in the real world. Bravo people, you have my money.

    Avatar deserves the best special efects and that's it. It was really fun, had a great time but that's it (yes, little details like how the planet rotates on the background, and other blah,blah nobody notices until they tell you, are nice but a good screenplay should be more important). Now The Road not getting nominated for anything was a real shame. Now THAT was a good Sci-fi flick... well, you could slap a lot of genre tags on that beauty.

    Got my Yamato 1/24 Ingram AV-98 Unit 2 today. I must say I'm very impresed with this giant beast. Some pics make the original unit 1 look like it has weird proportions, but unit 2 looks fantastic to me in person. Maybe it's because the new head makes it look more robust (I love the head). Looks like the fixed the problemon the waist joint, so that may help too. My only gripes come from the Ohta figure. I'll post pics soon (specially since i don't know of any photo made of this figure in the promo adds; not even the box shows Ohta). He comes with a normal expresion head and a yelling head. Problem: the eyebrows aren't completelly painted on the normal head... but that actually ain't an isolated incident: the extra sheet of paper included with the manual showing the unit 2's extra parts show the same cut eyebrows Another thing is that Otha looks more fatty that I think he should. Doesn't strike you as a short but big bonned muscular person. The head as said looks great and the other extra is the shotgun: The shoulder guard or whatever it's called can be retracted and the shotgun can be cocked.

    Plus the full resin one is a lot fatter than the more slim proto pictured in the magazine. Looks great and all, but f%$% Bandai could stop competing with old Yamato producs and do a VF-17, 4 .....

    That's a huge ass box damn it! Hope this fat bird's stealth technology is enough to get pass the radar of the dear customs state employees... I was smelling Bandai would dick us with the green one. That's why I decided to go pink. F%&$ exclusives, that green for the promo shot looks great. One can only hope for a "Grace version" now (I'm not going to support any stinking "exclusives" ). Now to continue waiting for my pinky.

    The movie was released in Spain about a month ago. The poster they used looked like it was made of awesome. The beggining of the movie is fantastic ( ). But once that's over you are left with a movie that feels like a corny fantasy movie from the 80's painted with "grittier *whiny*" colors. From the of the first minutes you go to whiny hero whining here and there while killing boring cannon fodder thugs that look the same. Even the last battle pales in comparison to what they show at the beggining. Hell of a boring movie which could have been a lot better. Even the depressive gothic atmosphere full of religious nuttery (which by itself should add points to any movie about fighting the followers of hell) gets too repetetive very fast. We did laugh our ass off during the movie once we saw it was that or sleeping what was left of the film. Talking about all the gaping plot holes and stupid scenes made for a fun after movie experience too. To sum it up: Don't expect what the damn movie could have delivered based on the firts minutes and go with friends with the funny button turned on.

    The internal parts done in grey color really add detail to the valk. The original 25 needs those. Looks very good. The leg articulation is a huge step forward. Graham, is the box bigger than the first VF-25's box?

    And my Hi-Metal arrived today Well,this one is still a year off. One good thing: Bandai can shove their web exclusive sound booster now. Even if Yamato dicks us on the booster, the speaker shoulders wont be missing like on the Bandai. Third take on the 19 after some recent masterpieces (11b, 21, v2.0); I'd hate to be in Yamato's shoes right now. The expectations for this bird are going to be veeeeery high on peoples minds.

    So why is the Bruticus Maximus repaint more expensive on Ebay than the Energon one? How many repaints are there of the Bruticus mold. The one I like is the one David talks about, then theres the Maximus one that I find a bit too colorfull (minus the central robot which isn't bad) and I think I've seen a very bright colored one.
