The Unlicensed Third Party Transformers Thread
Twoducks replied to slaginpit's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
After my Herc smashed to pieces and came out without a scratch, I'm rethinking my decision o pass on Uranos. Negatives: - OMFG no, no, no. That is just sad. That plane isn't involved in anything of the transformation into robot or torso. It is just there for the sake of saying the vehicle mode is a plane. I could glue a toaster on that bot and call it a toaster transformer then...That is like going against the most basic thing a transformer should do. - Really only like Eagle (a lot). Phantom is ok but the Silverbolt is a kite and the last two are remolds with bad plane modes. - The extra chest bot does not do its job. According to the review below, thing locks in one place, leaving parts floating, and leaves gaps... the whole point of making us pay more was to have a new member that would make the combined form look better... that little robot does not serve its purpose well. - Uranos has a derp face. Kinda strange since he had a nice face in the proto (already planning a $$ set with "new" parts perhaps?... I could see them do that and with a better chestplate to boot… for more money of course). Positives: + Combined mode looks nice so far (and is the one I would have him displayed anyways). + TFC's use of color may be bad (you only needed to folow NECIO damn it!), but their figures are really sturdy. + They invite you to play with them. + You can do a chestplate mod to have it look better in a way: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/598199-new-tfctoys-project-uranos-mega-thread-811.html#post9012343 + I could just get the first 3 bots and skip the last two to save money and half ass the other arm and leg (or put him next to a mirror lol). I really don’t know what to do. Don’t want to wait to much for a final decision. Herc is still available at a good price but it was a toy of a more popular combiner and Giant probably ate a lot of the planned purchases.- 9240 replies

After this review, the little interest I had in the movie died: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escape-to-the-movies/6837-A-Good-Day-to-Die-Hard The last Die Hard had him beating a fighter jet and this one continues in that line. Since now the premise is basically of an immortal McClane and sidekick instead of the normal looser in over his head that made the first one awesome, why not just call it "Unbreakable II"? Better a super hero movie than to nuke the poor fridge again.

Just to share with you guys thinking about getting Herc: mine fell almost six feet to the ground after I bumped the display case very hard by error. It got smashed to the components. Put them back together again and not a scratch on it. TFC can't make a half decent SR-71 transformer but they sure made a resistant bastard made out of construction vehicle toys.- 9240 replies

Gracias. Bienvenida seas Arcadia.

muestra tu colección de macross
Twoducks replied to CHAVAKAISER's topic in Juguetes, Modelos y Estatuillas
Twoducks replied to Twoducks's topic in Animación, Música y Multimedia
But, but, but I liked being Yamatoed!! "Arcadia-ed" sounds like Mr. Ed diying from going to much to an arcade.

But that is like a 180º on Macross toys: from complex transforming toys to cheaper mandolls... That said.... 1/8 cockpit... could be all kinds of awesome

WTF???? Now this is a weird move... TakaraTomy was a fushion of two companies and they basically kept both names. Is someone injecting enough capital to demand a name change of an already established company? I want a panic button!

Sees clock... Someone spill the beans already! Do you know how much loli and moe crap I've plough through looking for WonderFestival Mospeada pics?? Answer: “I hope a cop doesn’t see the cache”. That much… BTW, Fewture and Sentinel (Riobot line) are full of awesome : http://blog.yahoo.com/_ED274AZGFINLESDVVHRADMVIMU/articles/969674/index (but not Mospeada)

Missed opportunity with Megatron. A Voyager could have been so great. The comic design looks awesome. Looks like Hasbro is the way to go with the Masterpiece line... if you actually get the chance to find one in stores.- 16945 replies

Now that you put it that way, I guess the 6th member really could come with a neat surprise. Either way, combined mode looks so perfect that I really can't ask for more. FP on the other hand is reducing my interest on Menasor. I was finding the price hard to swallow, then saw how tiny the first bot is and that there are no extra pieces, then remembered that "limb mode" will be just the car plugging into something and then finally saw the group pic... MM needs to be really good to compensate. I do like the colors and they look nice together but you have to be nitpicky when a small deluxe class is going for 60+shipping and have seen jack crap about the most important piece of the whole team.- 9240 replies

¡¡¡Bravo!!!

Armored Trooper VOTOMS
Twoducks replied to Temucano's topic in Más o Menos Macross (Otros Animes, Ci-Fi y Aventura)

Well, that certainly impressed me. Pure genius way to get rid of the battery pack of the original toy and beef up the legs. Even the gun muzzle can be integrated. I remember Shockwave as my second TF. Parents made It very clear he was super expensive. Then the gun arm broke at the shoulder lol Didn't notice the feet were the front of the cab until you pointed it out (and I've seen that pic a lot). Really cool if they make it like that.- 9240 replies

Kinda of let down, specially considering how much attention to detail the MMC people have. I was expecting something that would add playability to Feral Rex itself.- 9240 replies

Videojuegos de Macross en General
Twoducks replied to Gerli's topic in Animación, Música y Multimedia
