The helmet on that Ride Armor looks like Master Chief's. Imagine if Halo had Mospeadas. Mmmm Mospeadas!

I suggest you put your money on a preorder of GTA San Andreas @ Gamestop rather than RT:Invasion because I suspect the price will go down in a few months after it's initial release (knock on wood ) or go on sale at Circuit City on launch day, let's say for $29.99.

And Joe Liberman.

I had an opportunity to play Invasion at Toynami's booth during ComicCon (it seems like their booth gets smaller every year ). Anyway I played a tutorial level for PS2; first off your in a truck and a Ride Armor commander will tell you to find a Ride Armor for yourself and save as many comrades and kill Inbit on the way. The control scheme is FPS/Max Payne fair (Left stick=foward, back, strafe left/right, Right stick=view up/down, turn left/right) and with the triangle button you can transform to Bike mode if you find the Ride Armor. Secondly the graphics has a touch of an Unreal/Metroid Prime FPS feel with Atari's TF game Transformations. Personally RT Invasion is an improvement to Battlecry but the FPS control needs a bit of work I just hope they address this issue before it drops. All in all; Nice graphics, controls that needs improvement .

Which chain has the WORST customer service?

Pretty much most of the places I've been to had Pretty Good/Decent CS but I have to make an exception to K-mart. Personally I haven't been there in ages but the last time I went was to return an Exo-Squad toy (which was almost 8 years ago) and the place was run by employees who acted lazy and had attitude problems up the yin-yang. I never went back. -
*twitches* VOLTRON 3D DID NOT EXIST! IT NEVER HAPPENED! THEY DID NOT RAPE MY CHILDHOOD! No amount of denial will ever make it clean. Hell, it had freakin' Tim Curry, and that ugly ass ninja voltron. Netter Digital had to die, it was the only way... NDEI did some great space action sequences on Babylon5 props for that but WTF were they smoking when they did Voltron "The Third Dimension"?

I saw it this afternoon. Pretty much like a good Twilight Zone ep. and was less predictable than Signs. The trailers really only tell half the story. M. Night's gotta really good film; in depth and character IMHO.

The 2004 San Diego Comic Con Thread

I just got back last night. This was my 3rd CCI. One highlight is that I meet the creator of Dust/Koshka, Pablo Parente and got his Autograph of Koshka#0. Very nice guy plus he told me me that he knows Kow Yokoyama personally, known for 3D-FX/Machschinen Krieger. You can see the influence is definitely there on the Mecha. -
Jessica Alba? WTF? I personally liked Rebecca Staab from the Roger Corman Producton of FF plus she hotter BTW, but thats just me .

I have a Focker/VF-1S battroid I-man. Focker looks pretty cool but it could use more joints. The Battroid on the other hand has a quality flaw; the left arm was not attached on straight so when I swiveled it the peg attaching the arm to the torso snapped halfway. IMHO I'd buy the rest of the Macross I-men open them and flip over the coin w/the RT emblazoned on it down and displaying them.

Oh man, I loved the Knight's of the Round arcade game! I never played the SNES version but I hear it's as good as the arcade. Gotta go on eBay!

I just mentioned that psudo Anime/Archie-esque toon in the classic movie review "Excalibur" by areaseven. Thank goodness I'm not the only person who knows what King Arthur and the Knights of Justice is. Here's a quick synopsis from what I remember. A football team called the Knights are sucked into a time vortex where they end up in the darkages. I know there was a toyline by Mattel basicly recycling the original He-man toys not the crappy Anorexic He-man from the 90's, the Balco Steroid induced He-man from the 80's using the bodies with the Knights' faces w/ capes and sculpted armor which looked pretty cool they even had the slime-pit and armored chariots'.

That was a cool little movie. Excellent work! I'd like to see these guys use Sun Yun's Lego Macross designs and create a DYRL/TV Series sequence.

I looked at my circuit city 2day and their sale dosen't start till the 11th. Hell I'm gong early on Sunday!

This is kinda OT but I gotta ask. A friend of mine is going to the Classic Gaming Expo in San Jose, California this August he's looking for a TurboGraphx system with games are their any vendors that specialize in TG16's?

I had one of those when I was young. Got mine at the good old swapmeet for 5bucks. My boot valk was pretty sturdy and of decent quality (but not as great as the original HCM's) and I played with it often (luckily not breaking it) touching down on my buddies USS Flagg. Sheeyat, bootlegs don't get diecast nowadays just crappy plastic.

I bought 1/55 cannon fodder just recently. Just one in my current collection of valks! I don't even have a 1/48 yet.

Me Wantie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, w/sugar on top . Seriously though I gotta check out that episode again.

Once you hear the "Original" cast (Mika Doi my fave seiyuu especially IMHO) you'll never go back to RT plus subtitles can help you speed read too!

My favorite line "Tonight we shall have a Round Table." and I add "and we shall make the most excellent pizza." . Seriously I thought Excalibur was a great movie. Very appropo since King Arthur is coming to theatres soon. Does anybody remember the psudo Anime/Archie looking "King Arthur and the Knights of Justice" where football players go back in time?

You can check out the Anime Volume 2 boxart here and images of the Powered Suit with some Machschinen Krieger for good measure here.
