  1. Thanks very much. I quite like the warm light, I'll take some pictures of it later in the dark to show the difference. I like the neutral colour, anything else is a bit in your face when looking at the room on the whole. I did see the colour changing ones but went cheap lol.
  2. Any excuse for Macross porn.. Oops I do believe I have a droopy bayonet. :-(
  3. Too much awesomeness in one post! Great pics.
  4. Hmm would like more (obviously). But super and armoured parts are crazy expensive. Thanks for the heads up though. :-) It would be typical if they reissued Ozma aswell. Now that I've donated most of my body to science to pay for an existing one.
  5. Following my earlier post I decided to reroute my light cabling through the bottom of the cabinets. I had to drill a hole and ensure that it wasn't above the foot in each corner of the base. Then I finished it off with a spare bit of trunking I had which disguises the hole. Very pleased with results. No more unsightly cables hanging around behind the cabinets.
  6. The only downside with the ikea led strips is hiding the cables. You get four strips in the box and you can either run them in line - which reduces the amount of cable but limits what you can do with them, or run a cable for each strip as I did. I've seen some collections here where people have run them in line and had all four strips at the top, one per side. This will make things look great at the top, but then everything get darker as you move down the cabinet. Obviously the shelves are glass, and how bad this is depends on how crowded your shelves are. What I may have done in hindsight is either swap the top and the bottom Detolf wooden ends around, or make a hole in the base so all the cables exit the bottom rather than out the top. For what it cost, the ikea kit is good value. You get everything you need inc sticky pads to fix the strips, plus you can pay a bit extra and have the version that changes colour etc. (I didn't). This is the one I got http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00119419/
  7. No, the section containing the scanner separates and rises from the rest in SPM mode, so there is no room for the LED gubbins.
  8. Detolf #2 inevitably went up today. I had a brief play around with where to place the valks and came up with this: I'm sure it'll change again and those Robocop pieces will soon be kicked out lol.
  9. Awesome. I have the SPM version waiting to be built.
  10. I look forward to your review.
  11. It does look very cool, loving the way the body collapses down onto itself. He's pretty big too. I missed the boat on this one so I'll have to keep checking near release date.
  12. Haha yes it did as a matter of fact. I could have sworn I heard a choir of angels too. Now I have a display conundrum...
  13. Jungle is indeed good... The Bandai Holy Grail itself! So happy right now. Though I'm sure I'll despair later when the credit card bill arrives.
  14. Wow, that looks amazing. Great work as usual. I second the request for pics in the other modes.
  15. Yeah, I'm happy to miss this too. The YF-19 is pretty enough as is, I don't even both with the silly Fast Pack bits that it comes with.
  16. Yes, one VF-1 is never gonna be enough. It's like they breed in display cases... or that's how I explain it to my good lady.
  17. Klang really has got a massive set of boosters.
