if a new version of the first war is an option (ie, returning to see the main characters again), I would prefer a story where events took place just after earth departure or perhaps just before they disappeared near the center of the galaxy, with a dramatic history with battles against an unknown alien force that almost killed every one on the fleet (Misa was killed in battle; leading to Hikaru severe depression that wiped out all the leadership in the fleet) and just when everything seemed lost, Minmay songs saved the day again waking up another alien force (pacifist) that defended the ship and the last humans on it. Later this new alien force invited the last humans in the megaroad-01 to go through the dark hole then disappearing forever but giving the impression they reached a different spiritual level...we can see Misa rising again and holding Hikaru before they all disappeared. Now, being serious, I´ll accept whatever comes, not everyone will like it but at the end the good thing is that the franchise is more than alive and still producing things that is the most important part.

With regard the Macross 11 fleet that is shown in Macross F series. It seems that there is no dome (like in Frontier island-01) and buildings are exposed to space. Is that the only ship that has that configuration? On the other hand, is there some explanation about the purpose of the "long wings" that seems to have? The only info I could find on the web is the same image that appears in Frontier, no further technical explanation, and that there was a rock band called Fire Bomber (English version) that resided on it.

nah!, being ironic. After all, this is only a cartoon. However, we like it or not, this issue about the fate of the first protagonists arouses passions in many forums Macross no matter how much time passes.

they should take into consideration one of the Earth-like planets that NASA has discovered in recent years and develop a new history, about a macross fleet, around it or explore one of the mysteries that remain unresolved as black holes; giving more clues, but only clues, about what could happen to the Megaroad-01. Preparing the way for the 50th anniversary where we will finally know it.

so, as far as I understand what matters is to know what the current trend of the Japanese target audience is. It has changed somewhat from 2007/2008 when they released macross frontier?

This is Sheryl version about what happened in Frontier, perhaps just a dream after ep#? in tv series, being under extreme stress, when she realized Grace was not good, is killing her with V-Type virus infection, and replaced easily her with Ranka, Ranka has more power on her music, Alto is still not focused on her, etc, etc. In this Sheryl´s dream: - Alto fall in love amolst inmdeaditly. - Grace is like Sheryl´s lovely mother. - Nobody dies. - Sheryl has more "music power" than Ranka. - Sheryl married Alto. The next history will be about Misa and Hikaru stil traveling in the Megaroad-01, they were just watching tv series and movies all this time (M7, MF). Well, seriously I dont care about what the next tv series will be focused on (it is not up to us but on a comemercial focus; business are business). Some will hate some will love, still will be buying some of the stuff they will deliver. BR.

I was expecting the new tv series to be "on air" for the next anniversary- maybe 35th?...M7(15th) and MF(25th) followed that pattern...any way, those are great news!

Thanks for the reply. As far as it was supposed to travel toward the center of the "milky way" it seems to be traveling in the opposite way even in the 2016/2017 year they changed direction almost in 180°. It is the only ship doing this...just, it was odd to me. Thanks again!

In Macross F ep #1 when all the ships are shown to be deployed across the galaxy, the Megaroad -01 seems to be still "alive" after year 2016 even as for year 2033 it looks like is on-route to somewhere. Is this a production mistake? Thanks for the reply.
