  1. RIP Diane Ladd. Diane was in a lot of films but my favorite was David Lynch's Wild at Heart with her daughter Laura Dern. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/diane-ladd-dead-alice-doesnt-live-here-anymore-wild-at-heart-1236416794/
  2. I agree but I think the focus groups say otherwise, lol.
  3. The hype has begun! We also have the new Godzilla x Kong coming out in 2027 and a second season of Monarch too. Good time to be a G fan.
  4. You know you're getting old when you prefer forums to Discord, lol. That being said, I stay on forums because going to Discord feels like starting over in a community. Reddit is different as I go there more for help and advice rather than discussions. Facebook groups are mostly derp, even for my local community groups (eg cars, town). I also see this old vs young age related tech issue with gaming too. Interesting times.
  5. My kids are watching Stranger Things for the first time. While watching it in the background it made me realize the real villain is Mike. He is such a miserable self prick of a character. Don't know how 11 or his pals can stand him.
  6. I have to agree with you that poor follow ups can kill nostalgia. Disney f'd up the SW sequel trilogy which impacts my love for the original and prequels. Even though Disney made up some, or a lot depending on who you ask, with Mandalorian and ANDOR it didn't help as they are a series so they felt outside the ream of cinema if that makes sense. That being said I rewatched Legacy and its just a way better film than ARES cinematic wise, so many beautiful shots. Kosinski was way ahead of his time.
  7. Yeah, WEAPONS is a well made wtf kind of movie that is very entertaining. Definitely worth a watch.
  8. Watched the original TRON on D+ last night and for the first time it felt dated and kinda lost my nostalgia for it too. I think ARES is to blame for that loss of nostalgia.
  9. Sometimes I think its because of cocaine or money laundering.
  10. This is a huge move and will probably nuke Paramount+. The many Taylor Sheridan series is the only reason why I keep my subscription with P+. Taylor Sheridan To Leave Paramount For Big Film & TV Deal At NBCUniversal https://deadline.com/2025/10/taylor-sheridan-leaving-paramount-film-tv-deal-nbcuniversal-1236598297/
  11. Injured my left hand and can't play games so gave this series a go and it's waaaay better than expected. The pilot was a slow burn but the series got more and more interesting. Good cast and sci-fi story so I recommend it as binge worthy since it's only six hour long episodes.
  12. Disney should check with this forum before they make another legacy film. I'm kinda sorta serious.
  13. Uprising was best TRON imho. Pretty sure TRON is toast at this point. Ugh.
  14. Yeah, Jared Leto isn't the problem. You could have cast any actor as ARES and the result would have been the same. In hindsight a complete TRON reboot would probably have been a better idea. Oh well. Yeah, my wife and kids had no interest so it was just me. lol
  15. F'ing classic song. RIP
  16. Just got back from seeing ARES, it was well made and the NIN soundtrack was so good you could have just closed your eyes and listened to it through the whole film. Jared Leto's performance was fine too but his films seem to be cursed. HOWEVER!! Not having Sam Flynn and/or Quorra return was a yuge f'ing mistake and there was plenty of room to include their characters in ARES. I'm sure making a sequel so late (15 years!!) after LEGACY didn't help either. Plus there was an over abundance of nostalgia that can't be expected to carry a movie either, that GenX money can only get you so far. Sadly, since ARES wasn't a block buster hit I think this will be the last TRON movie ever and doubt we'll see a new streaming series too.
  17. Classics posters that we grew up with. Somehow THE THING poster stands out the most for me as its unlike Drew's other works and keeps the story a paranoid horror mystery.
  18. Yeah, I plan on seeing ARES this week too. Probably will be the last TRON movie ever.
  19. It works for me because of lack of time. I can jump in, play a match or two and leave. Single player games are more demanding because if I don't stick with it for a while I forget what I was supposed to do or where to go, lol.
  20. Only one more hour... I took a week of PTO for the BF6 launch, lol.
  21. Looks less intense than the previous series, but looks fun to watch.
