  1. The ding dongs in Hollywood could make money if they included a "son of Godzilla" to rake in those "baby Yoda" bucks.
  2. Agreed the SFX could have been better however they did very well with the budget they had. That being said I still need to watch Monarch on Apple+. It's a wonderful time to be a Godzilla fan!
  3. Took them a while to bring RDR2 to PC so I'll be stunned if GTA6 never comes to PC.
  4. Just got home from seeing it. It's the first Japanese made Godzilla film that I watched in the theater in over 20 years. It was really really good, a true monster film. Update that I just learned this move was made on a budget of $15 million USD. Amazing plus that kind of efficiency should put Hollywood to shame!
  5. Interesting new direction... I do miss the slower Godzilla from the 2014 film though.
  6. Paramount+ is more affordable than the other streaming services and has some modern western gems from Taylor Sheridan series such as 1883, 1923, Tulsa King, etc.
  7. Hopefully its better than the first season.
  8. That was a funny trailer tho. Let's see how it goes.
  9. This is quite common with younger people. Ugh.
  10. I should create a KICKSTARTER campaign to make a Godzilla v Pacific Rim crossover film. Who is with me??!!
  11. DARK is a great series and thankfully new viewers don't have to wait between mid-season breaks, lol.
  12. I kinda liked (not loved) Raised by Wolves, mainly because of its cast. Speaking of Raised by Wolves, I recognized Abubakar Salim was in Napoleon as Thomas-Alexandre Dumas too. Someone could make a interesting film about his son too.
  13. I forgot how forgettable Rise of the Beasts was. Ugh. Anyways, if I had Hollywood money I'd make a scene for scene live (mostly) action remake of the original 1986 animated film.
  14. I think the last time I had Burger King was when ROTS was released 🤣🤮
  15. Ridley Scott's historical films are very hit or miss. For every Black Hawk Down or The Last Duel we get a Naploeon or House of Gucci. So maybe Ridley Scott's next historical film will be really good?!?? 😜
  16. I think some of the problem goes to the lack of originality in these films. We know we keep getting sequels or comic books films that naturally unoriginal but now it seems we can lump historical or "true story" films into it. For historical films we can (mostly) find what happens in Wikipedia before the film is released. Yes, there are original films out there but I can't recall the last time I wanted to pay to see one in a theater.
  17. Saw NAPOLEON for date night and it wasn't as good as we hoped which is disappointing as it was the only film I was looking forward to this year. Overall it seems cinema continues the downward trend since the pandemic, sadly.
  18. Quick edit: They are only looking for Chinese or mixed Chinese for the role which is lame imho. The great thing about THE KARATE KID was that it wasn't about race.
  19. Took the family to see TROLLS: Band Together yesterday. The kids enjoyed the music and fun. My wife really loved the all the boy band references as that was more her musical taste and generation. On a negative note we bought tickets via Fandango and the convenience fee was $8 which I think is ridiculously high and doesn't help theaters bring in audiences. Next time we'll just check seating availability and plan on purchasing the tickets at the cinema instead.
  20. And the necro thread award goes to... 🤣 Wow, and talk about keeping stuff too haha.
  21. Yikes, that was awful. SONY should have done a WB by cancelling its release and taken the tax write off.
  22. Another film to take the family to, That being said I'm snatching up Fandango gift card deals when I see them, lol.
  23. I wonder if the younger audience even cares about TERMINATOR and its just chasing GenX money? The original film will be 40 years old (yikes!) next year and I wonder if many younger folk in their late teens or early 20s have actually seen it? I have a co-worker in his mid-20s that I consider a fellow nerd film fan however he never saw Big Trouble in Little China, The Thing nor Blade Runner.
