It's because of how the grille transforms. I've been looking at that for a while, but there is no clean way to modify the feet because the headlights are too close to the feet to move the grille anywhere else.

BTW, if you transform Alternator Sideswipe by Hasbro's instructions, you have a 100% chance of breaking both shoulders. Just leave the wheels and the doors G1 style and it will be fine.

David, I just picked up a Sideswipe tonight. Do you have any pics of what needs to be trimmed for the alternate transformation?? And how exactly do you get missles in the regular transformation without leaving his back half-transformed??

I thought the Missouri was the only one that used the splinter style scheme. Also, wasn't the Iowa the only ship in the class to not have a quad 40mm on the "B" turret roof?? I seem to remember seing three 20mm guns there instead. 200 posts again. EDIT: spelling

Actually, I heard on a different board that the company that said no was Volkswagon in regards to using the new Beatle for Bumblebee. I am still hoping for a Porsche 911 GT1 EVO for an Alternator Jazz.

Talk about a promising series going bad fast. I actually liked that series (especially Bruce Campbell) until the orbs started appearing. Then it went down the toliet fast.

Aside from the Hikaru VF-1S, I think that will be it. They didn't make a grey VF-1S in the 1/60th line so I doubt they will do it in the 1/48th line.

I've been watching it since the beginning. The writing has been pretty strong throughout the series. Compared to some of the other shows I've seen (Battlestar Galatica anyone??), It's definately good. If you need to catch up on older episodes, check out Sci-fi on Monday nights. They usually run about four episodes in a row.

Speaking of which, where is Shawn anyway?? I haven't seen him around lately??

I've seen the Forces of Valor pieces here and I kinda like the Blackhawk and Apache, but Graham and David Hingtgen are right, the jets just plain suck. Prowlus, your're right about that Tornado, that is the most god-awful Tornado I've ever seen.

That was a really impressive landing. Now if that was a airliner full of civilians instead of mail. I bet that reporter would disappeared. That reporter should have done something, even if it was just telling the shooter that hitting a cilvil airliner isn't really a good idea.

The 1/48's might be durable enough for a kid to play with, but I would NEVER give a 10 year old one of my three to find out. Use a Bandai instead. I know those are tough enough to take the pounding a 10 year old could deliver, and replacing them is cheaper too.

#5 - is definately not Robinson, that's the capital of the Draconis March. I think it's Luthien. #4 - is the Orion. Both Nicholas and Alexandsar piloted Orions (See the Orion IIC's entry in the 3060 tech readout), it might have even been the same one. #3 - Arc Royal Mechworks is one of them. I know the second one is on Arc Royal as well and I think it WC Site 1, although I am not 100% sure. #2 - I believe it's the Taurian Concordat. Not definate on that one either. #1 - Just a guess, but I'd say it on Turkyayd (I know the spelling is wrong.)

For me, it's Lost in Space, both the TV show and the movie sucked, but I still watch the movie occasionally.
