  1. Anybody considering a Poll for the Arcadfia YF-19 to show OK deliveries vs problems, problem-types and split across Sellers. Price-point is optional. Might be helpful for future orders.
  2. Totally forgot mention I am using 'Kitchen Bleach' to strop chrome some work faster than others. Below 3 products I use often: 1.) Kosutte Gin San: Best Chrome finish http://www.1999.co.jp/10011510 2.) Sabitennen: Real Rust on any material? http://www.smartyhands.com/id/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=13598#.U0DpeOKsIiE%5B 3.) Tamiya Panel wash in brown, black, grey, etc. 4.) Tamiya Limonene standard/thin Cement but no offensive smell. Will soon post a PIC my Ride Armor stripped runner vs a plated one, Found very few kits/toys that can't be recovered, Super Glue is the worst you can use.
  3. To reduce the noise place it on a non-slip rubber mat it will reduce the shaking a lot and add foam insulated cover? Nice compressor don't get me wrong I needed more with a baby, etc. Good luck.
  4. You will still get a pulse at low pressure, common for that type of compressor also watch out for overheating. Nice compressor but not really for heavy-duty use and can get noisy. My own compressor (oil) now 14yr old and still going strong is dead silent and runs as well as day 1 but cost 750USD. http://www.airbrush-tool.com/data/airbrush/product/airtex/comp/com_apc007.jpg If you get the right fittings any AB will work? You can get them at most DIY or Arts Supply stores. My whole AB setup cost me 1.300 USD 14yrs ago, just no longer have the space to use it. A good setup will last you 30+yes with no problems. P.S.: All my gear compressor and 6 AB are in storage right now, looking for a job where I can use them.
  5. I know there are some dedicated glues available in the states micro clear or similar. Personally had great results with standard white/wood glue, you want a glue that dries clear and is easily cleaned up.
  6. Frontier action and transfirmations were way too fast for my liking. Slower pace, less idols and more about the life of grunts(standard soldiers, pilots would be nice).
  7. Grey and Brown works wasy better and looks more realistic than using Black for panel lines.
  8. Forgot how tough IMAI plating is most manufacturers strip in 30sec-5 min, this takes 48-72hrs. But will be done soon, DOT 3 Break/Clutch fluid works faster but needs to be watched as it will soften/deform the styrene. Finishing assembling the 1/8000 SDF-1 today, I will build and paint the whole kit before chopping the legs off. Got a few SD Plane kits in the works lost one part but will soon have thast scratch build. Also assembling the 1/250 Diorama robots for a combined painting session. Tomorrow I will hit Yodobashi for some colours and a few extras. Pics will come soon.
  9. Started to make preparations to return to the workbench, still need to do some colour shopping tomorrow. Today is to strip a plated 1/12 Mospeada Stick/Ley Ride Armor. I hated plaster parts and strip and redo them with a local product where needed.
  10. HLJ ordering, etc processes are all automated/computerised. I recommend to get a tour of their premises to see how they can handle their order volume with current staff. Even Hobby Search tried to get them to spill the beans as their system is that good and that was 2yrs ago.
  11. Jigsaw - Sky High -- [sTEREO]: Juice Newton - Angel Of The Morning: Charlene - I've Never Been To Me: http://youtu.be/u1slFiehEzQ
  12. I agree from what I know HLJ ships over 1000 orders(not items) a day/6 days a week plus wholesale, my last order had over 30 items in it. Next will be similar.
  13. Patlabor Invasion D-Style, this 4 kits are just assembled and no additional painting has been done.
  14. Kotobukiya D-Style. Those kits are the egg-planes of robot models in short SD or Super Deformed representations. The are semi-prepainted and Snap together but I recommend glue for them, extra detail painting needs to be done to get a better presentation. Just finished assembling the 4 D-Style Patlabor kits, pics tomorrow.
  15. This months kit haul part 2.
  16. I have posted pics of today's haul(part 1) here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40804&p=1111155
  17. Took some pics after unpacking. Patlabor D-Style Scale Models Macross Supplies Gundam Votoms More Votoms, Macross and Gundam to come later.
  18. HLJ Delivery arrived, time to start unpacking. Getting another 3/4 kits in afternoon and will post pictures of contents in evening here and other thread. Mixed bunch of stuff $320 worth.
  19. I usually use a dark grey or grey for panel lining, too me it looks more realistic as black can be too strong a contrast? I also do it after applying markings as those also weather.
  20. Vanessa Mae Destiny: ENIGMA MCMXC a.D. Sadeness translation lyrics:
  21. There was one guy that had most if the Plamo Tsukurou videos uploaded to YouTube but Fuji TV is removing them now. I don't know if any similar videos in the west, granted there are some like Modelmania(figured kits).
  22. Gundam Episode 1, started today on MXTV. Nice to see the original again.
  23. For me most of the Toys/Collectibles are too high in Price and not worth it. Some Items I will pick up while on Sale though. Also while I like Macross it is not my biggest love or Interest. Personal feelings.
  24. Those ankles look bad, any idea if they can be replaced with Wave or Kotobukiya ball joints?
