That's the dumbest, most tasteless, thing you've ever said in any of your posts. No wonder you're into Robotech. They draw them like Marvel Comics, just the way you like it, huh?
-
They made a Maia Sterling Alpha that fell apart. The Betas were cancelled. The Cyclones were cancelled after... I think they put out Scott Bernard. There were no figures, ships, or Haydonite toys. There was a boring teaser poster. There was a wallet. Wow, Shadow Chronicles was so successful!

I kind of like the ahoge.

They let many of their licenses go at the end of the 80s including Captain Harlock, Queen Millenia (And The Queen Of A Thousand Years), Galaxy Express, Megazone 23, Lensman, Little Women, Dracula, Frankenstein, and Dragonball. Birth (World of the Talisman/Planetbusters) and Windaria are no longer listed on their website but I assume those were permanent. Harmony Gold is a privately owned company run by Frank Agrama. They said at a convention they don't accept investing.

Robotech could have been rebooted in a continuation, a sequel and reboot at the same time, except that Shadow Chronicles did it completely backwards. It changes things that can't change and keeps things the same that can't be kept the same. They're going to do the same thing with the LAM if it ever gets made. I'm not feeling the optimism about the possibly of a reboot. It would be the third reboot under the same people. Robotech could have been good, but I think they've missed their chance. They'll have to put Robotech away for a decade and then bring it back with a new director if they ever want to make anything respectable out of it.

It's from Robotech Art 3, page 37. The no retakes policy just ended up wasting their money unless they were seriously planning on airing it like that.

OMG IS THAT A ROBOTECH REFERENCE? Throw me another crumb please Master!

I guess it's not a secret anymore. That's Harmony Gold's latest project leaked onto the Internet. The obligation to pay Big West has been discharged through creative bankrupcy court so now they can use everything. The narrow aspect ratio is a feature. You turn your head to the side when watching it for 4:3. The flaws with Macross have been removed and replaced with ideas Carl Macek whispered into Tommy's ear as he was dying. "and then... and then Alto is Lancer's son. He's really a tough Cyclone rider. Get rid of all that Japanese crap... Tommy I'm counting on you... uhhh...."

That would be horrible if Robotech fans were tricked into watching the fake Robotech rip-off "Macross" instead of authentic, pure, Robotech. They should be more careful in the future not to associate Robotech with an inferior brand. It could ruin Robotech's reputation. It might make people think Harmony Gold produced Macross Frontier. Tommy Yune would never work again when everyone finds out he made Macross Frontier on his Macbook.

"in some quarters...people who know this business" He thinks he's Guld. Guld: Banky Isamu: Darkwater Myung: the blog? Project Super Nova: bragging about business knowledge?

Implying it's called The Masters Saga and not Robotech Masters.

I don't know about the others, but I really like this picture: It's funny. It's like, what is she doing there?

In other words, it's space marijuana.

The flowers want to survive, so they try to optimize their chances of survival. It's not "The Shapings", some kind of god or something like that. It just lets out protoculture and communicates with other beings by making them have weird trips. What happened at the end of episode 85 to the Invid is probably an example of this. Of course, this has nothing to do with Robotech anymore so it might as well be a fanfic but at one point that's what Robotech was supposed to be about.
-
"Protoculture is an energy source derived from diverting the organic energy produced in cell division of a specific plant known as the Invid Flower of Life. By containing the gestating seed in the matrix which does not allow the plant to develop, the Invid Flower of Life's desire to reproduce is so strong that the energy derived from this submission of cell division is enough to power the massive Robotech mecha invented by Zor and subsequent Earth scientists." - Greg Finley, Scriptwriter and voice for Captain Henry J Gloval I got that from somebody or saw it somewhere in August 2009. It was saved in my Robotech text folder. IIRC, the person emailed him and asked.
-
"Not many franchises maintain this kind of momentum and energy after all these years." - Tommy Yune, Comic Con 2011 The energy you're leeching from Macross that you expend on the momentum of increased web browsing? Yeah, I can see why a lot of companies would not want their people to be so concentrated on dicking around.

I used to have that figure. Fortunately I sold him, and the other figures, before Robotech fans realized there wasn't going to be a Shadow Rising.
-
You mean like with Chase Masterson as CHERYL the android singing over cheap knockoffs of the music or replacing everything with Mospeada Plus?
-
The best idea, to write new novels and online comics because they don't have to money to make a series, has been pitched to HG a million times. They're intent on Robotech sucking and they're not changing their minds.

Oh yeah baby I can't wait to see his old Lick Hantaa again. He was so masterful in Shadow Chronicles. No Vince there's a flaw with the missiles! Man that part was EXCITING! Then Vince was like oops sorry lol. We'll call this one The NICKELS MANEUVER! I was like OMG dude this is too cool. I gotta go watch it again to get ready for the return of da man.

The Zor Master himself Kawamori, Shaper of the Protoculture. He knows the secret to the Flower of Life from the protoculture boost he got many years ago. Look at him fly those veritech fighters around while listening to My Time To Be A Star. On the table there are rejected veritech designs that got cancelled because the Hovertank and Alpha Fighter were too awesome.

The quality of the fandom is Harmony Gold's fault. The robo-techies use DYRL pictures as robo-tech "art" because Harmony Gold trained them to think that way. They could still choose not to make fools of themselves if they wanted to. Harmony Gold does good things sometimes like remastered video and lost soundtracks, but the bad stuff has outweighed the good. They're beyond redemption. People who want to be Harmony Gold's shield believing they're defending Robotech have made themselves an object of ridicule.

You may have noticed most of the people on Robotech.com are now unhappy with Harmony Gold. Kevin of course denies it means anything. It occured to me today as I looked over at my DVDs. I have Macross, Southern Cross, and Mospeada. I have a whole set of the supplemental extra raw material from robo-tech. I put it together with all the robo-tech DVDs, I could have like... The Awareness Collection!

DoZ is a forum to discuss Robotech on the rare occasion that something happens with Robotech. It's dead because it's not affiliated with Robotech zealots. I don't mean to advertise their site, but since you asked about it, check it out. It's kind of like this thread. http://www.disciplesofzor.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=5 I've said it before, but I never believed LLA was being considered for the new Robotech because it's too different from Tommy Yune art and it doesn't allow them to control the animation. It also makes their own animation look bad. Check out Volton and Thundercats kicking their ass. Wait, I thought their competitors were all going bankrupt because they make things instead of sitting around like Harmony Gold. I thought the recession put a hold on all entertainment and merchandise, but yet here these companies are, still making entertainment and merchandise.
