I have some pictures in my Macross folder that look like they're from the same book. They're smaller than your scans so I won't repost the same one.

Hey, I like Crash. It wasn't quite as good as the other movies, but it looked and sounded about the same to me. BTW, among the things I found when I looked in the closet was the Imai 1/20 Macross Gun-Pod GU-11 that shoots pellets. At one point I put it together and got it to shoot but broke it somehow. edit: Sorry for the double post. I thought someone posted ahead of me.

As I said in my last post, never happened.

In A.D. 2010 Negotiation was Beginning. Yui, you spelled Bubblegum Crisis wrong in your interests. There's no 2040.

Pizza took out for you! Implying Carl Macek told one true story about his involvement with Robotech. I remember him saying multiple times that he thought up the idea to add Southern Cross and Mospeada to Macross after noticing he didn't have enough episodes for a (high value) syndicated series. It depended on who he was talking to and if he was working for Harmony Gold. I WAS STANDING ON MY TOILET HANGING A CLOCK. THE PORCELAIN WAS WET. I SLIPPED, HIT MY HEAD ON THE SINK, AND WHEN I CAME TO I HAD A REVELATION, A VISION, A PICTURE IN MY HEAD... OF THIS. THIS IS WHAT MAKES ROBOTECH POSSIBLE: PROTOCULTURE... A FOOD FUEL DRUG GOD FLOWER! I'm not banned yet but I have been excommunicated from their cult for several years now. The whole website is a troll and realizing that is the key to sticking around, or you could pound your head against some metal or concrete until you fit in there. I still have some Robotech toys left over from my RDF-HQ sale a few years ago that nobody wanted to buy. You'd think with a hot tentpole show like Robotech I wouldn't still have The Women of Robotech and the Chunky Donkey in my closet. I can't even give them away.

Of course. The website is a facade for their occasionally existing business. You're baited with something that seems to resemble Macross and two other old anime and then Rickrolled with the zombie franchise Robotech. The "fans" are too embarassed to admit they've been trolled so they stick around pretending that one only needs to be entertained once and then you're good for life.

In the officer's forum, there's a thread where a handful of people report threads to Maverick_LSC. That's the moderation on Robotech.com. MEMO's more interested in Robotechx. Steve's too much of a superstar to make celebrity appearances anymore.

Thank you, I can see all the threads now. I love how I didn't notice that link was there. For version 4 they should make it an easter egg in an empty spot somewhere in the border.

Macross is so awesome. Movies coming out one after the other. The creators continue to amaze and the fans are fun and supportive and the merchandise never stops. I wish I could finish my degree faster so I could be there.

When you left or right click on an image, the window tints and the huge image loads up in it's subwindow. Way down in the lower right corner, there's 2 options: Save or Close. If you save, the image opens again in a separate window so you can save it. If you close, the subwindow closes and you are now at that lower right corner position in the thread so you have to scroll up to find where you were and figure out which pictures you already looked at because there's no dotted border for a "just clicked" link. Is it needed to prevent people from linking to the images from other sites? If so why didn't they just have the one in the separate window be the individually generated link? I looked around in the settings to see if I could turn it off, but there's nothing so I guess it's supposed to be like that. I'm not understanding what the point of it is. I only see three posts here so I'm assuming nobody's asked.

Yui, Harmony Gold does almost nothing with Robotech. Your Harmony Gold does more. Asking Big West to make a deal with Harmony Gold is like asking them to make a deal with me. Macross Frontier is their business. If they ever need SDF Macross, they could re-animate it if they wanted to. Harmony Gold at first only had a right to distribute the SDF Macross series and make merchandise based on it outside of Japan. These are the rights that Big West sold to Tatsunoko to get the SDF Macross animation finished. It doesn't include the designs in new animation which Big West still has. Tatsunoko licensed those rights to Harmony Gold. Then, in 1999, Harmony Gold registered the trademark "Macross" in the United States and got that right on their own, even though they did not create anything for Macross. In the past, they were in the right place in the right time to attract hundreds of skilled people in one place. It was a one time event. Today, they are not very good at creating things on the rare occasion they try to. The things they create are amateurish and substandard. If you've seen Shadow Chronicles, in my opinion you could tell that they are unable to act as proper representatives of Big West. Neither are they a real distribution company like Funimation or Bandai. I don't know where you got your information about Harmony Gold, but somebody has told you some lies about them to make them look better than they really are. Harmony Gold is a group of real estate agents who go around to anime conventions trying to convince people Robotech is still active. Their Macross DYRL products exist to prove their finding that they also have rights to distribute merchandise based on DYRL. Maybe you didn't realize calling yourself "Harmony Gold Japan" is like calling yourself "someone who works very slowly in Japan". Just this once, I'm going to crosspost this here and RDF-HQ so you see it.

I was going to say maybe she's like that Chinese girl banky talked about who didn't know anything about them and thought they were making more Macross Saga for real. Then I thought about what Yui said about Big West. She thinks they're being unreasonable in not dealing with Harmony Gold. She doesn't mention approaching Tatsunoko. She doesn't have a realistic plan for approaching Big West as far as I can tell. Maybe she does have some English language information about Harmony Gold. Except that it's from Harmony Gold.

I don't have the DVD anymore, I sold them years ago, but didn't the guy in the video say that right now the prototype only had the arms and legs come out, but they were working on the battloid mode? I seem to remember him saying that.

WTF is that a Ψ with 3 bombs as a third faction in the war between the galactic empire and the rebel alliance?

Yui is reposting her reply to me, on RDF-HQ, here and at Robotech.com for some reason. Sorry about that. My original post: Yui, telling Big West they're being bad people are not going to convince them of anything. You'd have better luck going down to their offices and singing to them. Get a guitar and sing songs with all your spiritia until they give in. Today you will move that mountain!

私の日本語はまだ上手じゃありません。 However, I did with the help of Perapera-kun read all that. My grammar isn't that good yet, but I understand what the words and kanji mean and I didn't see anything in there that says what this is. So what is it? Is it a petition to get a sequel made? Is it a fanfic or a fan video, or am I not supposed to think too hard about whatever this is. Shin & Sara is a good one to hope for. They can be fit into a plot whereas Basara appearing out of nowhere to sing his song is a little random. Not that I would complain. I want to see all of Fire Bomber again. They should do a series about the Jenius family.

Macrossworld has intelligent discussion, real moderators, good board software, and a large number of users so this thread intentionally or unintentionally becomes the sanest evaluation of Robotech current events. This is a general forum not focused exclusively on otaku culture, but a lot of its content is related and makes it a good place to discuss something like the international Macross license also known as Robotech. So I heard Tatsunoko (Takara) may still own the copyrights of the designs of Mospeada and Southern Cross. I haven't listened to the whole podcast yet. College tends to reduce the time I have available to listen to Tommy Yune and somebody speaking Spanish for 2-3 hours. I heard on RDF-HQ though, that when they make new animation they need Tatsunoko's permission. It's something that I've never seen confirmed before. I'm going to try to listen to it tonight and see if I can hear the part rtsurfer was talking about.

In the 90s there were videos, comics, novels, soundtracks, a rerelease of the toys, Robocon 10, active fansites and newsgroups, and there was almost Robotech 3000. Harmony Gold let their licenses do what they wanted and left Macross II and Plus alone. It was horrible! Good thing Robotech came back strong in the 00s. With Shadow Rising and the new whatever it is coming up AND the live action movie just right around the corner... WOW. It certainly is an exciting time for Robotech fans!

I wonder what would have happened if Harmony Gold didn't want to get Macross on TV or have a toy line. Revell wouldn't have gotten involved. They'd keep making their models. Hasbro would still get the 1/55 for Jetfire. Harmony Gold would dub and put out the videos (first one was out) and I assume keep advertising them in Heavy Metal. They dubbed Mospeada so maybe that show would follow. Comico would keeping making the comics (issue 1 was out). What would happen next? Given that this is Harmony Gold, whatever it is they would screw it up somehow. Maybe some kind of "Robotech" of Mospeada and Southern Cross and some other show.

So apparently he had some kind of other PR experience besides being a troll on Macrossworld? I just watched the video. There's the face of Harmony Gold in case you ever forget they're evil. He meets a hardcore Robotech fan. She knows nothing about what's been happening with Robotech and asks him a million questions which explains why she's still so enthusastic about Robotech. He talks about Robotech like it's the hottest new anime out of Japan. He's got his typical anti-pirate lies where he says "off Bittorrent" instead of "off a torrent" implying Bittorrent runs a P2P service. He used that calling Macross "Robotech" thing again where they imply that the Japanese made Robotech. Some guy in the audience is an extreme dork. He laughs at anything banky says no matter how stupid it is.

What? A man and a woman? What's that? A man and a woman. It must be protoculture!

Robotech fandom is about as fun as a kick in the crotch. Forget Sheryl and Ranka. I want to see more blurry pictures of Sera to test my faith in the Roboligion.

"Dad, I'm taking you home." "But I wanna watch the Robotech people!" "We're done watching the Robotech people. Come on." "Oh how I love Rick Hunter. Shadow Rising roolz."
