You must be, they were all over the place, but I liked those too As for Art Asylum, their Enterprise E is pretty nice no doubt but their refit A has a really amazing finish on it. In any case, I don't think there is a better bang for your buck ship wise. I think Enterprise D (both the regular and 3 nacelle version) are next up from them.

Their refit Enterprise is fantastic. The finish and detail on it are really top notch, especially for the price range.

I've seen this thing now 3 times since it hit theaters and I love it more each time. Everything from the story, to the performances to the new look of the Enterprise has grown on me 100 fold (and I liked them all the first go around). I really want Art Asylum to do a nice movie Enterprise so I can add that to my shelf.

Now that you mention it, I think you're right. That being said, he was given initial command of the federation's newest flagship so he probably had a career that would lend itself to a promotion. I could see him supporting Kirk's promotion to captain when they were sorting things out post-Nero.

I think if that had been the case, they would have shown it. This isn't the first time Kirk has done things outside of regs and essentially been awarded for it because of the end result. It was important for Kirk to gain command of the Enterprise under his own merits and saving the federation pretty much gets you there. So I really don't think any string pulling was needed. As for Pike being made Admiral, if I remember right (and I'll check when I see it again tonight), Pike was part of the crew on board the ship George Kirk goes down with. So I think that equates to something like 25+ years of service. The guy probably had a promotion coming.

Just a blurb from the wiki "During pon farr, adult Vulcans undergo a neurochemical imbalance, that takes on a form of madness (culminating in the plak tow). A Vulcan could die within eight days if their pon farr isn't satiated. (TOS: "Amok Time"; VOY: "Blood Fever") Vulcan males experience pon farr every seven years of their adult life. (TOS: "The Cloud Minders"; Star Trek III: The Search for Spock)" Sounds like basically, Pon Farr must be taken care of, but the option is at least there for reproduction outside the event itself. The wiki articles don't specifically state that Pon Farr is the only time mating is possible. So perhaps there isn't yet a canonical rule for this yet.

Well Pon Farr only happens every 7 years. I think they have the ability to mate more than that. They'd be in serious trouble as a species if they cant (well they already are, but even more so).

Accidental

I don't think a movie about giant alien robots needs to side on the side of realism with government employees. I think it's kinda funny he went from "do whatever I want and get away with it badge" guy to mothers basement kinda guy.

If I were to have one gripe about the flick, it was who they cast as Sarek. He just didn't do it for me. Still...small thing and didn't detract from the overall awesome of the flick. Loved the choice for Bones though, I thought his performance was great.

I really enjoyed it as well. I liked how they were able to press reset on the franchise and give us the potential for decent Trek for a good deal longer if they wanted. I also loved all the little nods to the past series or movies without being too over the top. It was great fun and hopefully successful enough to breathe some life into the franchise.

There is an extended clip of that scene online...may have been linked in the TF2 thread. Sam basically says that "freshmen aren't allowed to have cars" or some such thing. So if that stays in the final cut (and I've remembered it right) there's more too it than him just wanting to move on. Still I have no idea why you would want to move on from giant ass kicking robots...I mean really.

Reviews have been quite good from both movie goers and critics alike. Really wanted to see it tonight, but it'll have to wait till tomorrow.

I liked Last Stand... On topic though, I've alwaysliked Spawn from an art standpoint (especially Spawn himself) but Al never really did it for me. Some of the things Al did were cool, but he himself was just kinda eh in my book. So hopefully this new character will be interesting. I may even start reading Spawn again if he is.

Sadly, I still expect Prime to eat it in this one. I mean, it wouldn't be Transformers if Optimus didn't die. Though I'd rather he didn't.

and people loathe Michael Bay... On topic though I dig the Rodimus Prime concepts too. I've been impressed with Fansproject.....projects in the past, but I'm really looking forward to these new ones.

The already said they wont be changing names to Galvatron and images of Megatron's tank mode can be found at various places online. It's pretty mean looking though still Cybertronian.

Definitely would like to see Kojima do a 3rd ZoE. Now that he's closed the book on Snake's story I'd love to see a 3rd installment in this series.

General consensus is Welker will get Soundwave, Nimoy will do The Fallen (unless something has changed between now and the last time I saw something new on the subject). Personally I don't think Welker's Megatron would have worked, I just don't think it was sinister enough. Yes I just defended Bay again and quite frankly Hugo is awesome.

That's true, Bay loves to spin BS about the movie to throw people off. I've been really impartial to Arcee since well...forever so I'm not gonna be too heart broken if something happens. Personally I was/am more irritated by Jazz getting toasted. Still I'd like to see Prime live through the Bay films, seems like every series I've really watched has Prime die.
