  1. Try your local TAP Plastics (if you have one). They often have decent custom-made similar display cases for fairly cheap.
  2. Certain to be MUCH BETTER than any of the Star Wars Prequels. Looking forward to this waaaaaay more than Episode III.
  3. Ah, how could I forget the old "timeline/continuity out-the-window" method common for anime series. Drives us westerners crazy, but I guess it's a flexibility we don't have.
  4. Saw it yesterday, thought it was great. How does Stand Alone Complex and 2nd Gig fit in? Does all that take place before GITS1, when the Major "becomes part of the net"?
  5. Edit: Looks like this is what you have? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WD1V
  6. I'm looking for a nice, big, comprehensive UC Gundam lineart book, covering most or all of the series. I'm a fan of lineart books, and I'm sure Gundam has spawned a thousand of them. Is there an ultimate volume out there? Or one that is recommended in particular?
  7. So is the F90-F91 actually smaller than other FIX mobile suits? I understood that they were supposed to be slightly smaller in the anime.
  8. Macross Zero "Design Works-style"? YES PLEASE. Imagine the VF-0D lineart goodness.....(drools)
  9. A Garland! YES! Can't wait. (Although given Yamato's release record, I'm sure I'm in for at least a year-long wait. Still waiting on that scopedog) Cheers to Yamato for releasing some awesome stuff, though!
  10. Jiminy Cripes in a Canoe, them's a lot of choices! Maybe it could have just been "yes" or "no"? You forgot: "Yes, I don't not plan to not buy the next one, but perhaps won't not buy another one maybe."
  11. Goddamnit, that scan clinched it for me, I gots to get me one of those babies (maybe two). *PREORDER'ED"
  12. If you look closely, you can sorta make out a VF-1 in the background of this poster.
  13. Yes, ending with Episode 5. No plans for any further Macross series (yet).
  14. Anywhere online to get this for a good price? Is it a big book? Artbook? or more design works style?
  15. Bah! Now I'll never get a 1S Roy (for a reasonable price). /cries Here's hoping Yamato has a change of heart. I just hope they're not pulling a Bandai on us and pulling out entirely.
  16. Well, like the tagline says, it looks like we definately lose. Early scathing reviews are rolling in: http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=18140 Not since Lucas has a director raped my childhood so thoroughly. Paul "Worth Sh!t" Anderson indeed. I'll go and see the film first to confirm, of course.
  17. The latest Dengeki Hobby has a page that appears to show the upcoming release of an "Advance of Zeon" special. Hopefully its a showcase of customs and kits.
  18. I've noticed some nice looking new gundam designs in the last few Dengeki/Hobby Japan issues under the banner of "Advance of Zeon". Some pretty nice designs (IMO). What is this series, exactly? What's the story? Can we expect some MG Bandai models out of it?
  19. I'm with a lot of others on this one, not really a fan of the AU-gundam stuff. I really really wish they'd return to the UC timeline, with a different storyline for once. Maybe a Zaku pilot story or something. But since SEED is doing so well, and selling like hotcakes, I'm sure we can only expect either more SEED or more AU-set gundam power rangers. /dies of cynicism
  20. I'll put it this way: My Yamato stickers were so unforgiving, they once shot a man for snoring. Drawing macross symbols on post-it notes with a broken burnt sienna crayon and sticking them to your valks will yield better results. The moral of this story: Buy custom aftermarket stickers by Takatoys or other, and save yourself the misery.
  21. Psalm 71: "And Convoy shalt say upon his legions, "Autobots, transform and roll out!".
  22. I'm curious about what occurs in "OVA Mospeada: Love Live Alive "? Anything interesting? Any good/new mecha footage?
  23. So, like the title says, those of you that have customized (or have experience otherwise), do you think its necessary to completely disassemble a 1/48 in order to airbrush paint it (and have it still look great)? I recently customized a 1/55, and the sheer number of parts to keep track of during disassembly/painting/assembly was mind-numbing. (My experience was tarnished by some weak and broken screw housings during reassembly of an old jetfire - lesson learned there, if you're customizing a 1/55, use one of the new Bandai reissues, I'll tell you that for free. Having an entire shoulder explode into uselessness after painstaking paint/prep....grrr.) I'm sure that disassembly is always going to be better than painting it whole, but wanted some professional opinions here...keep in mind I'm merely an airbrushing beginner. Yes, I know this sounds like a lazy request, but I'm wondering if I'm wasting time disassembling or not. Thanks in advance O Masters of Paint!
  24. Absolutely awesome game so far. Tons of great atmosphere that can really creep you out. Especially hearing screaming/whispering/chanting/stomping coming from next door, or having zombies burst out at you from hidden shadowy recesses that you could have sworn were clear. The engine, especially the lighting, is beautiful to behold. The intuitive interface with in-game computers and screens is a great feature too. I can't wait to see an Aliens mod built with this. This engine begs...just BEGS...for someone to recreate the lost colony/atmosphere processor on LV(B?)-426. Check your corners people!
