Well, people seem to be pretty confident on Yamato releasing a Shin-type VF-0. Now, this could be my own ignorance through not following the thread terribly closely or I'm just plain in the dark, but does this Shin-type to which many have referred happen to be a VF-0D?

So why the size discrepency between the VF-0 and the VF-1 ? I mean, the VF-0 is freakin HUGE in comparison. I thought the only real "difference" was that the VF-0 didn't have a nuclear reactor to power it. So, why would UN Spacy go from a huge valk like the VF-0 to a smaller model? So many questions. Any answers?

Man, I really really really hope it's more of a greyish colour.

I really never understood why those kinds of figures were called "super posable" when they have... what... four points of articulation? And even then the number of poses you can put them and not have them fall over can be counted on one hand. *shrugs*

Well, since we're in wishful thinking land, I'd say go all the way with the F-14 similarity and do a two-seater. 409391[/snapback] I'd also be kinda cool if you have F-14 missile placement. I've been watching Macross Zero music videos and the F-14's have the missiles placed more on the under carriage than solely on the wings like the VF-0/1. I know that causes difficulties in terms of the transformation sequence, but I think it would make a really nice "heavily armed" look, especially with the fastpacks. Oh yeah, and we could have it as a Martian low viz two seater F-14 style canopy VF-1 low viz with F-14 style missile placement.

That would be another nice touch. Same with the F-14 cockpit canopy idea.

Same here. I'd also change the paint just a wee bit to make it a little more lowvizzy in an atmosphere instead of the nearly straight grey paint used. I think it needs a little tweeking as far as atmospheric camoflage goes.

Just curious to know how much Yamato 1/48 boxes go for. I'm in a little strapped for cash so I'm thinking of selling mine. Thanks everyone! Always feels good to receive such nice comments. I've got more photoshopped pix if anyone would like me to post them (I've posted some of them in the Toys forum). Always happy to showcase my progress in photoshop education (or, in otherwords, show off my stuff ) So yeah, I'll pop by tomorrow (Wednesday) and post a few. If anyone wants to do that, feel free. I haven't figured out how to do animated gifs yet. It would make a cool avatar if you ask me.
