    Can't wait to see it...while high spectacle sci-fi can be a lot of fun, slow burners like Ex-Machina and this are excellent when done well. Looking forward to seeing it.

    I agree. He's not the most accurate Blackbird (the feet and lack of a central tapering spire wreck the anterior profile, which was better done on the original toy), but I love the fact that the robot body forms the fuselage rather than just dangling underneath it like most TFs. Those quibbles aside, I'm looking forward to having him in hand, testing his aerodynamic design throughout the house. I've already PO'd him and Mixer Robo. Mixer's transformation looks simple but interesting.

The train and missile truck guys look well done, though. I'm enjoying this line. I've never seen Revenge of Cronos; does anyone know who this guy is? http://news.tfw2005.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/10/2016/10/DSC07877.jpg I've been scouring Google, both US and Japan, with no luck determining who he is. It doesn't help that no alt mode was displayed, although he looks like a possible triple changer, though not Triple Jim. Just curious.

    After posting, I Googled up some Despotron pics for comparison; I recant my earlier preference for Despotron over MP36. The overall proportions of TT's version are very well done and look better to me. I wish his feet were a little wider, that the small area of arm above the red section was red, too, and that he had some red in his inner legs, but on the whole, an amazing looking Megatron. Reading Scyla's post above, I have a feeling that MP36 will prove more unconventional than Despotron, as he doesn't share the G1 toy's transformation system.

    All this consternation over that vertical stab/ shield; I prefer a perfect transformation ( no part swapping, thanks), but I have to wonder why they went with the offset hinge design that precludes the ability to paint them to match the rest of the shield. With all the talent and experience Bandai has at its disposal, it just seems like a 'good enough' solution. However, at this stage, I'm not gonna cry over something this trivial when I don't have a preorder, and no idea about future availability. I hope Keith's 262 doesn't become another VF-25S ( the Universe smiled on me when I managed to get my copy, but for a long time, the scarcity of that thing had me doubting I'd ever get one).

    Overall, I think I like Despotron more, as the clean and chunky look of the figure really appeals to me. But, I'm a sucker for official stuff, and I'll be getting this guy. Just perusing the various pics, TT went for a very unconventional transformation..notice the back of Megs' head in front of the trigger guard, and the robot's chest is a cheat; the area of the gun slide that usually forms his chest breaks up in a number of places. There's a lot of origami going on with this figure- I've been trying to sort it out, but without much success. If nothing else, I think the transformation will be interesting, and hopefully, not overdone. I'll echo the sentiments about the lack of silver overall, and red in his legs, but I like the various faces, and the battle damaged chest is a nice add-on for recreating the movie scene (except now we need a battle damaged Prime to make it accurate). Like most TF figs, it's not perfect, but still a pretty good representation of the character, and much improved over the first MP Megatron. As with all these guys, though, mileage varies.

    KumaStyle http://kumastyledesigns.com/kitzconcept-vf1s-review/ has a review for anyone interested. While he admits a bias towards SD toys, I felt his review showed it to be a decent toy on its own merits. I dig it, personally. Shame that buying one helps HG, though...that's really the only detractor to buying one, IMHO.

    Don't feel bad; this is the first weekend in a while that I went out for the day, just to come home and discover this. Like most of the Bandai valks to date, I hope I'm able to snag one once they're released. Gotta say, though, the scarcity and difficulty obtaining these things is rapidly eroding my enthusiasm.

    I don't have a schematic for ya, but coincidenatlly, my wife and I are currently watching KoS. I dig the Tsugamori design, and couldn't help but get an Evangelion vibe when the Gauna replicate Hoshijiro's Garde. Best wishes for finding a schematic.

    So true. Blade Runner was all about atmosphere and pacing, not non-stop action. However, even if the film makers strive to recapture that atmosphere, nothing will ever top Roy's final words. That scene is pure movie gold.

    I'm an admitted G1 guy, but Springer's car mode has not stood the test of time well. While FT did a great job of capturing all three modes (that bot mode looks great), I prefer the updated Generations toy, as both his alts look good as well as his bot mode. For those who really like G1 Springer, there are a few options out there now.

    I wish they'd continued making cassette figures for the TR line instead of the 'portable devices'. It makes sense culturally for the present time, but not so much with characters who become cassette players, and Blaster's alt mode is an anachronism. I hope a MP Blaster fig is eventually in the works with his cassette minions.

    Just want cool mecha, esp the transforming variety; if the story turns out to be lackluster, I won't feel bad for skipping it, but if the inevitable toys turn out well, then that's a good thing.

    Nice collection there, Slaginpit. Curious what's next to your Slave 1. As for LEGO, I'm disappointed in the rerelease of the UCS Death Star playset because I bought it when it first came out; had I known they were going to update it and rerelease it, I'd have waited. But $500 is a lot to spend on a set I already have, and I simply don't have the room for two of them anyway. But, I am looking forward to next year's UCS Snowspeeder, which I hope is a marked improvement over 10129, released in 2003, which used slopes for the front and failed to capture the faceted look of the actual model. Just built Krennic's Shuttle yesterday; some neat techniques employed, and the final ship looks appropriately menacing. Kudos to the designer for novel use of technic ball joints for the wing rotation mechanism- they work well.

    Meh it's ok, but if it has the 'Anubis' head, then I'm interested, if I don't manage to score Keith's. The 104, the VF-9, and the VF-22 all have potential for Bandai- I hope they milk it dry. Esp the 22, to stand alongside the 19 Advance.

    Binge watched second and final seasons of Assassination Classroom yesterday. Enjoyed it greatly, but ep 24 brought a tear or two. Started Psycho Pass last night: only two eps in, but I'm digging it so far. Feels like GiTS blended with Minority Report. Good stuff.

    I just got the Takara Legends version of Blurr, as the paint job is far superior to Hasbro's. He's both a good toy in his own right, and, finally, an excellent representation of his G1 self. I hope Has-Tak continue the Generations line for years to come, as there are still a lot of characters that need a modern update. I especially appreciate how well the recent batch of figures homage their original toys and animation models. I think they've found a perfect balance. Between TR and MP, I'm a happy collector- finally getting the toys I'd wished were in the boxes back in the 80's. I hope Reflector, the whole Dinobot team, and the Omnibots get made into toys under the current design trend- they're all glaring omissions among my CHUG collection. A CHUG scaled Megatron that turns into a pistol would be nice, too, as well as Shockwave. The Nerf gun version just didn't cut it. An orange tipped barrel I can live with to fill the current void.

    I agree. While a darker portrayal of Batman is generally my preference, the 60's show and the LEGO Movie Batman portrayals bring just the right kind of levity and fun to the character. That crosswalk line is classic- glad they did this while we still have Adam with us. This will be a welcome addition to my Batman video collection.

    Finally got my Toy World Unearth (Scavenger), fortunately without any defects. Scavenger was my first Constructicon back in the 80's, and this figure is about everything I could have asked for in a MP interpretation. (IMHO, his vehicle mode scales better with CHUG, but he's generally accepted as being MP scaled). Also got my Perfect Effect hands and feet set for Bruticus- such an improvement over the stock hand/foot/weapon parts that come stock. He's towering over the other bots on my CHUG shelf, commanding attention.

    PO madness be damned! I hope there are enough of these floating around after release for those of us who missed out (like me). I want Keith's more for the 'Anubis' head than any other factor. If they release his version in another color scheme down the road, I'd still be satisfied, as long as it's not really wonky (but this is Macross- wonky color schemes and large prints of the featured females are always a potential threat to otherwise lovely valks).

    Jeez, how many repaints are they going to do? At least this one makes sense within one of the TF continuities; Evangelion Prime was a pure money grab. Hoping more info is forthcoming concerning that pic of an alleged V2 MP Megatron. Along with a new Megs, I'd love to see a new improved MP seeker mold, hopefully with the tops of the chest intakes sitting at about chin level, as they should.
