    That set looks like VHS compared to the Japanese BD remaster.

    The movie version only clipped the openings & endings between eps.

    Nope, the PW systen worked just fine. Tge more complex version was i Portable Ops, and was way too obnoxious.

    That's the thing. The previous two R2 DVD releases "did" have subs.

    Has anyone picked up that fancy new 0079 Movies 8 disc bluray box set that just came out? Apparently, unlike the previous 2 DVD releases, BV did "not" include English subs. Just want to make sure that's true, otherwise I'd instantly buy it if it does have subs.

    Just frak then out by relling them everything they believe is true and more. We Macross fans have that much power.

    Also, only the hig expensive Frontier movie box has subs, the previous hybrid movie/game release had no subs. With that said, if they released the blurays without the big box and artbook, I'd pick up aj extra copy to share.

    If you don't need subs, the Japanese BD release is the most technically perfect version you can get.

    I just don't see why at that time Sunrise decided to skimp on budget. But to hell with that, I'm ready for Hathaway's Flash or Crossbone. A recap/reference in Tomino's new era series would also be acceptable.
