Well, we do know "Macross will continue into the future."
-
Looks like it's the individual disc release that's being listed.
-
Media Blasters now owns the rights to Giant Robo, and will release it this year. Rumor has it that they're going to have an $80 box set (box & first volume price) shaped like the Eye of Fogler..... BTW, Gin Rei specials will also be included with this new release. Since I already own the R3 box, I'm a bit torn as to whether I want this new release. I suppose if the video & audio quality are significantly enough better, I'll go for it. Otherwise I'll just pick up the Gin Rei OVA disc.

Mine was shipped early, got it last wednesday.
-
Might as well finish it. It's one of those curiosities like Macross II & Orguss 02. You know it'll blow, but you have to see what happened anyway.
-
Don't think I like the proportions on that kit, or maybe it's just the paint that's making it look off (way too plasticy looking a paint). Or maybe I just prefer the whaleblood coloring
-
After seeing AM2's take on the Macross franchise, I hope they'll do a sequel with the more contemporary designs (like VFX-2 with a beefed up AM2 engine). The VF-19P would fit perfectly there.
-
Definately go with the Zeta (or Nu, I find it hard to determine which is my favorite). Or you could combine the Zeta with a Zaku head & make a Zeta Zaku (damn you ZZ, damn you to hell!)
-
Speaking of which. Geneon, ADV, where the hell is our U.S. release of the vocal collection CD!

Ok, finally got a chance to watch part III a couple days ago.... You know, I haven't watched it in a couple years, figured I'd give it a fair chance since it's an official translation & all, but I'll be damned if it still just doesn't fit. It completely contradicts the point of everything that happened before it (especially part II), makes little to no sense with its ending (just exactly why did Eve have to sacrifice herself to ADAM since he was already passed as a test?), and truly has the worst animation of the 3. I still love the music though, especially Higeki no Idol. The video transfer is just as great as it was with the first two parts, plus there's naked Eve scenes (what more can you ask?). It's just sad that this was the most resourced part for the matrix.

Am I the only one who wished yamato did a VF-19P whaleblood varient?...
-
BOMBA! (and MII wouldn't fit in the continuity even if you did place it in canon era 2080)
-
VF-5000, not VF-3000. Graham D'oh!

"I'm not the one whining..." OK so let me get this straight, you argue, and the other guy (doesn't matter who it is) whines like a little bitch? True you argue your points, but that doesn't nessesarily mean your opinion is more valid than someone elses (especialy over something as trivial as an anime series). That I back up my arguments, and others do not (instead choosing to white theat i won't accept their opinion as valid since I'm dissagreeing with it), makes mine more valid.

I think they were coming in too fast due to the damage they took.
-
There's no version of the OVA release that incorperates the movie footage. As others have said, most likely a fan edit.
-
Reaction weapons = Nukes. The Zentradi's ability to obtain them is long since lost, and they know the best weapons are the ones that do the most damage. And while the ship is big, you also have to account for its layered city sections.
-
Sounds like more crap rumors.
-
I dissagree. That type of "culture shock" is the type that wears off thet fastest, not to mention is the easiest ignored as all they had to do was turn away or turn off their displays.
-
I suggest you follow your own advice... I do, as I'm not the one whining whenever someone dissagree's with me. I argue my point, not whine like a little bitch.
-
Considering the Zolan Patrol already had a full compliment of VF-3000's, why not send them a VF-19P as well. Since the plan was to make it the replacement mainline fighter everywhere, might as well start distributing them everywhere. Colony fleet's have the means of constructing their own using their factory ships, so there's no external costs to any of them having them. It would seem more likely that problem area's put them into production first, which makes perfect sense. BTW, rogue Zentradi fleets don't have the means of backwards engineering technology, so that's not even remotely an issue. Pirates are going to steal whatever they're going to steal (including fold boosters & reaction weapons), so that also isn't an issue.

That is such a load of B.S. I more than proved my point, you refuse to admit the very fact that it is non-canon because the creator of the series says it's so, and the money backers agreed. You have no argument. It's apparent that once you have nothing left to argue, you resort to this petty B.S. trying to save face (as if anyone cared in the first place), get over it. Unless (oh my god) you actually pay attention to continuity. They have nothing to do with each other....aside from the fact that both try to continue the Macross franchise, one succeeding, & one failing. In attempting to do so, comparisions are to be expected. If the writers of Macross II wished it to be treated as an autonmous show, then they shouldn't have licensed the "Macross" name for it. Macross Plus & 7 follow up the continuity of the original series (& movie), continue the overall storyline, and add new dimensions to it. Macross II "attempted" to do the very same same thing, but due to shortsighted writing was a failure. In the fact that both are attempts at continuing the storyline, comparisions & contrasts between the two are quite valid. No, all I've done is position my opinion as "correct" based on the facts surrounding the issue. Again -Macross II has be relagated to a "non-canon" alternate universe status -Macross II failed to pay attention to the pre-existing Macross continuity -Macross Plus & 7 succeeded in both following & continuing said continuity. In an argument, there is a right & a wrong. If you can not accept this, then don't argue. At the same time, don't cry when others who understand the nature of a debate follow such nature. On the internate, just as in the real world, no one is going to hold your hand telling you that you can be right just because you want to be. Having an opinion & believing in it does not make the nature of that opinion correct, nor does it make you immune to being wrong. If you believe something, prove the conviction of your beliefs in the face of those who dissagree with you. Or go back to kindergarden & cry to your teacher. It's nice that you've been able to stick to the actual issues all this time. Roaming off into inane name calling is the sign of an excellent debator.... You should hope to one day understand the difference between supporting an opinion, & having an opinion. Just because you have an opinion, does not make that opinion valid. You may believe tree's are made of pizza, but unless you have facts to support it, that opinion is pure B.S. Makes about as much inane lack of sense as everything else you've said.

I'd wager they were showing the movie edition and you just got confused. What you want is "Macross Plus Movie Edition."
-
Why wasn't Gundam X popular? Because it was an odd mixture between Orguss & ZZ Gundam. Plus that whole D.O.M.E. thing...yeeesh!
-
Make sure you check to see whether it's NTSC or PAL.
