That God Zeta V2 kit doen't look half bad.

I just don't see the need for the sniper shots, and hell, if you can't fly over the enemy & rain down fire from them in a Valkyrie, then why even bother flying one. They should have just stuck you in a destroid in those stages.

Hmm, considering his lips, tongue, throat, it is likely that in the 18-20 some years inbetween his defeat by Obi-Wan & Jedi he healed enough to speak on his own. We do see (I think in Empire) him hanging out by himself without the helmet on. It makes sense that the James Earl Jones voice would be the machine created one. It also explains why Vader can speak while you can clearly hear him breathing at the same time.

Honestly, Battecry reminded me of the N64 Star Wars Rogue Squadren game with VFX-1 style weapons (a simple burst of missiles instead of true lock on). Fighter control was weak, Gerwalk control was clunky, and the sniper control in Battroid....what? Short ceilings, some stupidass objective limitations (find destroid pilot before he gets his stupid ass killed.....that's all destroids do!), etc. Hell, I'd even be inclined to say it reminded me of a PC game (which admittedly, I'm not terribly big on). Many complaints about VFX-2 seemed to be regarding the sttatic backgrounds. And while the static backgrounds weren't the best, VFX-2 gave you a realistic feelings of control & manueverability. Battlecry too had static backgrounds, and while they did look better, they lacked that sense of freedom in control. PS2 Macross borrowed all my favorite elements of VFX-2 (minus the Valkyrie selection), plus a lot of control enhancements. When you get into a nice big fray, you can jump between modes, targetting methods, those sweet Macross esque missile dodging animations (ala DSS from MP:GE), etc. If it had the Valkyrie selection of VFX-2, it would be the uncontested winner in the Macross game franchise.

"Potshots"??? You're just making it TOO easy Keith you're turning into a parody, all you have is a conviction with nothing to back it up Your argument is empty, the facts given about the material that don't work with/show flaws in your beliefs are simply dismissed, then like you own it, consider the discussion closed To you the earth is flat, even after we show it to you from the moon Actually, I've just taken to playing by your tactics, as none of you seem to care to back up any of your rebutals, so why should I waste my time. Either watch the show, or don't, but arguing what's in there doesn't make you right, just as claiming I'm wrong doesn't make me so.

Call me crazy, but that Destroy Gundam looks like it may have a transformation similar to the Asshimar. But if that's not Colossus, what the hell is? As for the Destiney's light wings, perhaps now we call it the Shining V2 Zeta? I know the Impulse looked like the Victory Gundam, and now here's the Destiny with the V2 minovsky drive light wings.
-
Last time I checked, pot shots weren't argument killers, they were just destractions. My argument lies in the material itself, again, there is no debate.

Ah the first VFX, with all the realistic combat of flying 10 minutes through an oversized map track down tiny targets....

Considering that the emotion put into singing, not the song itself, is the core of all of Macross, I honestly don't see where all this arguing is coming from. It's not a subject for debate, it's not open to interpretation, it just is and has been since the original series. I'm not going to waste my time dignifying the britney spears issue any longer, anyone who wants to delute themselves on that matter are more than welcome to.
-
[qoute]This is where you're very wrong, at least Brittney Speared thinks she puts emotion in her songs, and her fans think so as well Your comment is purely personal, and proven wrong by a large majority You also don't have the authority or the knowledge to tell the world which artist puts more (or any) emotion into their songs -Coorperate manufactured -Artificially enhanced (her recorded vocals....and tits) -Songs written by (many) other people Britney Spears is a puppet, not a pop idol. There is no emotion in her songs, and no one in their right mind believes so. You can argue, or you can stop wasting time. The point your missing, the relivence to you is the irrelivent issue. The emotion in a song isn't placed by the listener, it's placed by the performer. And the value you place or don't place in it isn't the issue. The meaning that the girl puts in it (or doesn't put in it) is where the power from it comes from.
-
Keith, do you listen to music? Then so: don't you realize it's your OWN emotions that put value to a certain song? an artist can put as much of his hearts content into a song but every listener will feel something different hearing it, with the possibility that NONE feel the same as the artist who wrote it But again (and again, and again, and...) Pure emotional shock What won the war was the Zentradi's emotional reaction to the song But IIRC the kiss was at the end of the song I dissagree, also pointing out that I'm not talking about manufactured pop crap such as britney spears. There is no emotiion there, as such, there's none to feel. What I'm talking about is a song that has a lot of care put into it. Whether you like a song or not is irrelivent. Whether you find a song to be performed with technical superiority or inferiority is irrelivent. But take a good song by Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, John Lennon, etc, and tell me you don't feel a power of conviction in their performances. It's not mind control setup to make you feel a specific emotion, it's one person putting their feelings into something strongly enough so that people listening to them can feel it.

You don't think that's a coincidence? Are you familiar with the way OVA's are released in Japan? Delays are far from uncommon. Hell, look how long it took to finish Giant Robo, that was inasne (though well worth it). If you are somehow implying that Gonzo is delaying work on Yukikaze to work on the new robotech.....delaying work on a successful OVA to work on a low budget U.S. work, then expect some seriouis laughing coming your way.
-
Actually, it was never about the "pop song," or the kiss. What won the war was the emotion put into singing the song. Simply hearing music didn't turn the Zentradi, but Minmay's emotions reaching out & awakening theirs did. Just as in the TV series, the kiss was only there for distraction. What won the war was the awakening of emotions that spread through the Britai Adoclas fleet causing them to rebel against Bodolza, and turning the tide for the Macross.

That's exactly what I mean. The Jedi brought about their own fall by being too upidy, instead of practicing their ideals. Besides, we know from watching Luke later, that Anakin was definately not too old, and had they taken the time, he could have been saved.
-
I can't help but think that if Yoda & the Jedi councel had taken Anakin in fully, and tried to train him despite their concerns, things may have turned out differnetly. While Anakin had a lot of rage, the Jedi should have taught him how to control it, instead of shunning him & creating more of it. It's just too bad so much time was wasted with Episode I, a lot of important story fleshing out should have happened there.

The Official Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Thread
Keith replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
......You didn't like gunbuster??? -
By wasting a shitload of money, I'm referring to $150 per season for straight VHS dumped to DVD, with terrible compression to boot.
-
If you want to blow a shitload of money on a dub only release, then by all means, buy the Star Blazers box sets.... The video quality is crap, the audio quality is crap, all of the episodes are run together with no intro's & endings inbetween on each disc, and they're glithy as hell. Plus it's an edited version of the show. If however you want to watch Yamato, then track down the HK releases. Very good (though not perfect, but still wonderfully done for an HK release) subtitles, audio & video are directly taken from the R2 DVD releases (and are far superior to the U.S. star blazers discs), and you get the full series, uncut for about $90 (3 $30 box sets). I'm not saying you should buy HK disc's because they're cheaper, but in this case, because the U.S. releaseing company has been grossly negligent with a series that deserves far better treatment. Yamato Box 1 Yamato Box 2 Yamato Box 3 www.animeniacs.com Now for the Yamato movies, you will have go go through Voyager. The audio & video problems remain. Just like their version of the TV series release, VHS masters with VHS flaws remain, and are hard encoded into the video. The films are also hardsubbed, but the films are at least un-edited, and both endings to Final Yamato are included. Speaking as a huge Matsumoto fan, I definately reccomend this route.

I wasn't saying choosing her gives you a different ending, just that choosing the male wingman caused a problem when running the game on certain ps1 emulaters, resulting in a problem much like the one described.
-
The Supervision Army were entirely whiped out by the Zentradi. Had there been any of them left, their main objective would have been to assist the Protodevelin upon their return. Since there was no appearance of the SA, it can safely be assumed that they just buckled under to the might of the Zentradi.
-
Definately the PS2 game, it improved on everything that was great about VFX-2
-
You're not missing much, as it literally is just a static shot of a grave, but from old problems with trying to play the game emulated that I remember, it may have something to do with the wingmen you choose. If you stick with the girl, you should be safe.
-
The only thing that picture's missing is a huge macronized bottle of wine.
-
Gundam Girls just have a degree of echiness that valkyrie girls seem to have lost.

Crazy, those are all recent transformers releases?
