And there in lies the key to why the robotech universe sucks so much. It's all tied into inbreeding, with the quality going down in each re-generation, until the whole thing inmplodes on itself. This is also why Britai has a buckethead.

Hmm, wonder if the DVD will get extra animation...

If Clinton was still president, this wouldn't even be an isssue....

Tities..... Prude's don't play video games, kids can get pornography easily enough if they look for it, and this is all just a bunch of B.S. Considering that it's "fictional ses" for all intents & purposes, this shouldn't rank up higher than an M or movie equivilent of an R.
-
While you're doing that, you should clear up one last time that you're in "no" way on Kazuo's side, otherwise you'd definately be on something else entirely
-
And where's your reply to this? "If it was supposed to be "Mospeeder" wouldn't the kana be "mo-su-spi-da-ru" ?" Seems to be a major hole in your little theory, there's no kana in the name for an R sound, and as such, no real means of it being "speeder."

I'm inclined to support this idea. Also if there is a next series I want the main Gundam to be simpler in design and in weaponry. In MSG the Gundam was not overpowered to the extreme next to the grunts, and the weapons it needed was a shield, a beam saber, a bazooka, and a beam rifle. Nothing more, nothing less. 312084 I also loved how its true power came from Amuro, so much so that the Gundam couldn't keep up with him.

If it was supposed to be "Mospeeder" wouldn't the kana be "mo-su-spi-de-ru" ? And Yellow's whole schtick was that he was discuising himself as a woman, take into account that Amano's art is very feminine to begin with, and I don't see why you would be surprised at all with the covers.

I'd actually like to see that Hathaway manga animated, might give some meaning to the little chump surviving in CCA. Crossbone would be nice, an origin of Turn A would be awesome, etc. Or perhaps they should just stop pussyfooting it around with SEED, and have Char & Amuro re-incarnate their Newtype selves there & tear ass with that universe.

It is a rare thing, but not quite. In Gundam ZZ, there's several instances when Judau Ashta goes back to using the Zeta Gundam after he's already received the ZZ Gundam. 311741 That doesn't count, since the Zeta Gundam was still a superior MS.

I'll say this about 0083, I love the opening with the training battle, everything about htat was awesome. But as it goes along, you can defiately feel the slapped together nature of things.
-
Psst, that would never happen anyway. HG & Tatsunoku don't own the design rights to Macross Valkyries, no matter how bad they would want to, they could never animate them in their new series.

Seriously, they got Yellow dressed as a chick on the cover of each DVD? Seems a little... um, odd. EDIT: Maybe he's not dressed as a chick... maybe he's just really glammed out. Still, where's the rest of the cast? 311630 ...Have you seen the show???

star wars ep3: backstroke of the west

That's the one that got me, I love HK translations -
I'm very happy to hear that. Hopefully movie III will have 60-70%! I can't tell you how angry I got first watching the R1 set. I was all ready to forgive the changed intro's, when I saw the subtitles. While some of the errors are both strange & just plain annoying, they only last through the first 3rd or so of the series (in bulk at least), then level out as it goes on. It's worth picking up for video quality, and debatable better translation, but if you enjoyed the original intro's, get ready for a letdown.

Zeta is one of the best things since burnt toast. At the very least, it will increase your appreciation for all the little things that go on in SEED. ZZ is a kick in the pants at first, but quickly regroups into a decent series. Victory is freakni' awesome, easily up there with Zeta. If you're unsure where to start, while it is U.C., it's far enough into the future to stand well on its own. G gets a bad rap as far as I'm concerned, while it is different, it's still Gundam, just embracing the more Super Robot aspects of it. X is probably my least favorite, something about it just didn't click with me. While it is more original/less whiney than Wing, it has an odd habbit of borrowing Heaviliy from ZZ, and in my opinion enitrely misses the purpose of the Newtype concept. Turn A is good to a surprising degree. Strips away many of the standard Gundam trappings to bring a strong character driven story. And the OVA's are fun, but not essential. While I do see you picked up the original series, you may get more enjoyment out of picking up the 0079 Movies. Aside from the TV series bad subtitles (assuming you're picking up the HK version), the movies do a great job at condencing & enhancing the story (also with a good R1 subtitle rip by now I'd think).

That is definatley one thing the ADV set will lack, ADV's big beautiful thick subtitle font. I actually do hope ADV tweaks the translation a bit though, and ditches the little things like the star trek references. But we'll see.

Bad songs? What are you talking about? Those songs are awesome! Especially Char's theme damnit! As for the Zeta music, if you don't know why it's not there by now, I'm not going to bother telling you Suffice it to say, ZZ's soundtrack is there in whole, we know that DVD release won't be a problem. BTW, does anyone know how to unlock CG image 64? It's the only naturally purchasable item I haven't bought yet (my gallery is at 81%, finished UC at 300%, beat all the arcade routes with both sides, etc).

I'm hoping that since the first did so well, they'll bump up the new animation count for both the second & third movies. Though honestly, at this point, I don't see why they just didn't fit the bill for entirely new animation to begin with. "maybe" if it was made 10-15 years ago I can see them doing a splice, but to do one 20 years after is a little silly. Oh well, do we have a release date for the 3rd film yet? I know the second one is september, and I can't wait to see the whole thing together now. BTW, Bandai is actually going to release the TV series with 2 disc's per volume (i.e. 10 disc's, 5 volumes), which is interesting.

Gundam Vs Zeta is dub only. All I neededt o hear was "Gundam M K II" to know I as right in buying the import instead.
-
I opted to get the import instead (and don't regret it a bit, those dub voices are terrible, and mk is an english term, how the hell could they screw that up?), very much enjoy it. The Melee attacks have finally been improved enough to use in normal circumstances, and have a bit more variety too them. Though I agree, they should have just gone through ZZ & CCA with the MS, characters, & U.C. route. Wouldn't have taken "that much" extra. Maybe the next game (after Alliance VS Zaft).

Harmony Gold has stated that AnimEigo will be credited with the subtitling and remastering job, and the original liner notes which appeared with the originals will be included with the ADV release. This is going to be funny, as ADV's competitor may be included on their packaging. 310490 Actually, you're mixing things up. That was specifically in regards to HG selling off the last of their Animeigo disc stock at robotech.com, you know, the one packaged in the new box. There has been no news as to which subtitles they'll use with the new ADV set. And come on, considering the cushy relationship they have, do you honestly think HG will stop ADV from subtitling Macross? Hell, do you remember how soon after the Macross announcement was made that ADV made their robotech DVD announcement (and rushed them to market to beat AnimEigo at the release punch). This has likely all been planned for years. AnimEigo didn't pass on the renewal of their contract, they just weren't given the option. With that said..I'll still definately pick up the new set for one very important reason, i.e. the disc cracking issue. If my AnimEigo disc's hold up, then great, if not, then I want a definate backup. Plus maybe they'll package it in a 6-7 disc thinpak box.

Wow, that is a terrible poster, if they're going to go that route, why even bother? Just as bad as the aeon flux costume.
