Perhaps, but considering nearly 50 years has passed in the canon chronology, more than likely their meeting of any nearly extinct Protoculture would result in them being part of some grander scheme test on humanity. Humans just barely half ass passed the AFOS test, just barely survived the Protodevelin, and just barely saved the Ginga Kujira. All of thsee events could be construed as luck. Besides, after so many years, who's to say any remnants of the Protoculture would be the same as when they were nearly whiped out. Could be some crazed militant faction who either forgot who they once were, or no longer cared. There does afterall have to be a source of conflict.

She Sings As Lynn Minmay(before And Now)

For the record, don't forget Mari is single, & loves snoopy. So bring a Snoopy Doll & flowers to any showings, and that will almost certainly amplify your chances at some ass. -
If I recall, most sentient life in the galaxy was wiped out at the end, with the protodevlin war. And there might still be some protoculture left. The chronology's last mention of them says "near annihilation of Protoculture". Once their interstellar network and central government collapsed, it would be a lot harder to track down all the outlying colonies. So there could be a few protoculture worlds off in the far side of the Milky Way. Very likely, or at least likely some additional Protoculture influenced worlds. The Zolan's have already been found afterall. Come to think of it, the way the AFOS left, and the way the Ginga Kujira left weren't entirely dissimilar, perhaps both were pieces of a test to finding the remaining Protoculture? I still say Sara & Shin will pop up in the next Macross Project..

..I managed to stop myself from picking up the flight stick bundle with 5, but don't know if I can resist it with Zero...hopefully there won't be one!

"Macross Plus." 382470 Those were violins. Unless you're talking about an AMV. 382746 Nope, I'm talking about "Welcome to Sparefish."

Ah. I admit I did not sit through the whole thing. I recall the song being used at the beginning. As a matter of fact the VHS tape I had had the end cut off so I could not have heard it during the end credits. In any case, I don't reccommend this version over the ADV version. If you have the Robotech version in English already then, again, I don't see too much to reccommend this one. 382087 It's more there as a novelty than anything, I don't think anyone's going to watch it in lieu of the Japanese audio (or adv dub..) with any regularity, especially since it's just the one episode included.

The old HG dub song is there, but only during the end credits.

In Robotech Roy didn't die, he became Zor Prime!

Definately worth the extra $10, but not the end of the world if you only find the regular version. -

It's worth it for MG MG2, & Secret Theater alone. The new camera is just icing. -

Turn A has already been done in 2 parts, so Victory would have to be after that -

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam A New Translation

I was hoping for a little...more added to the ending of III, especially since now ZZ doesn't fit, and there's still the matter of how the Federation gets a hold of Axis, Haman, etc before CCA would take place. -
Pretty sure it hasn't been (it's apparently a series of novels). Saw a fan page a couple months back with some info on the novels, no mention of any english translations.

I still don't see how some of you can call 7 kiddy just because of the presence of bright colors....it's anime, of course there are bright colors! 7 got quite dark when it needed to be.

I always hated the robotech sountrack, bugged the hell out of me even in 85. I was quite happy to hear the original Macross Soundtrack, think my first exposure were RA files on Horace Chan's Macross page....is that thing still around? Just checked, and unfortunately it's not. I knew I should have snagged that Macross java game years ago!

Considering the longer length, I think it needs to be a Gundam Trilogy styled affair (but with 100% new animation), though they can re-use dialogue if they wanted. I also say throw Emilia in as a main character, and have a rivalry between her & Mylene. Also, full frontal Sivil Nudity at some point. Oh, and the flower girl would have to smack Gamlin at some point for getting in her way...

The only way to get 7 & Zero on DVD is either R2 unsubbed (www.cdjapan.co.jp or amazon.co.jp), or HK subtitled with low quality subtitles (but intinately cheaper). The version of 7 that used to be up on Valkyrie Exchange no longer exists, it's a couple years out of print. Any 7 sets you find now will be similar versions, but without the movie & Dynamite. You can find both of those on a seperate disc.

Love the show, especially how its maintained all of its themes & running gags thorugh out. I didn't expect the car to stay "pimped," but sho'nuff, 2-3 episodes later, and it still is

The Worst Anime You've Watched Recently
Keith replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Gun Frontier wasn't meant to be a deep series (for something like that go after Galaxy Railways), just a fun romp with Harlock & Tochiro. It does have much more of a plot than you're giving it credit for though. I don't know what you were expecting from Panda-Z, but if you thought there would be anything more serious than parody going on after looking at the box, then that's your fault! Besides, have you never watched Mazinger Z? Panda-Z is a great parody.
