Demo the DBZ Burst just went up yesturday. And I've yet to figure out how it's different from any previous DBZ game...
-
I'm definately learning towards getting this. Is that average price for a bluetooth?

Those truly recapture the lost art of the 80's sci-fi movie. Kojima really should be proud, as everything I've seen of this game just spills out pure quality. That, and I get the feeling this one will have plots twists that make MGS2's tweaked moments seem like seasame street

That trailer is pretty hot, but I like the style of the Kojima directed trailers more.

I'm probably late on this. But just in case anyone else hasn't seen it. Metal Gear Solid: The Movie.
-
Can't believe I missed this preview. Doubt the whole season will be flashbacks. Likely just an episode or two.

I was laughing my ass off when that double headshot happened. I guess it just speaks well for the games Physics engine, when a bullet can realistically pass through one head to the next, but damn, I almost forgot about that last night. I decided to check out the beta one last time before the server went down. Which resulted in me Spawning, promptly getting hit by a grenade, the round ending, and some spazz not hitting Start to begin the next round & completely wasting the last minute! EVen if stats don't carry over, hopefully clans & profiles will. I'd hate to have to try drawing that logo again, though I do plan on attempting a more accurate to F one. After the servers went down, I tried playing MGPO+ online, and after MGO it just isn't even close to the same level of fun.

Dragon Ball movie rescued from dev hell?
Keith replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
OMG that's fukcing awesome! I can't wait for the next volume of Lucky Star... almost as equally as I can't wait not to see this live action DBZ movie. As for live action, I think the Hong Kong movie is about as close as it can come to being decent. That movie held its own, and revelled in its cheese factor. I just want to comment again on how awesome that Lucky Star clip is, as I've now finished listening to the whole thing...damn, that's why I watch anime! -

There's only one person in the world who hates DYRL, and that's whatshisname from years ago. Remember, the guy who kept bitching about it despite never having seen it? Think his name started with an E... Clearly this is the same guy come back to screw around!

I've only been able to catch a pretty basic sub of this episode so far, but did they say the Vajra was caught 19 years before? (2040)? If so, that would explain the major push of unmanned fighters, as well as Max setting up Project M. -
Not just David Bowie, but Iggy Pop as well, A truly epic 2 part.

Sheryl Nome "A diamond Crevasse" CD released today
Keith replied to Save's topic in Movies and TV Series
The full version of Sagitarious is quite awesome, well worth the wait. -
It's a connection speed issue. I think you have to be at 512 kps to host, 128 kps min to play. And the censor system is pretty entertaining, b!tch is also censored. I never thought I needed a headset before, but this game is really making me want one. I've put up an SMS Skull Team clan, with a crappy handrawn logo if anyone wants to join... I was either going to go with that, or Dai Gurren Dan, but Macross has to come first!
-
I tried out my copy today, didn't play for too long, just until the part where you have to go save Roman from loan sharks. I did try multi-player though, and didn't notice any freezing. Where's the glitch supposed to happen? I've got a 60 gig PS3, so I was a bit concerned, but so far so good. Now back to MGO.

I sucked too, then began to focus on sniping. Now, while I'm not a superstar player, I can definately hold my own. Best thing I can reccomend, is to alternate between sniper & handgun. It's as simple as hitting R2, and it does wonders. When someone is far off, switch to your SVD, when you here someone close up, do a quick switch to your handgun (auto-lock does wonders), and fire away, rinse, repeat.

Actually, Sara could be Anima Spiritia, as she did use her song rejvinate some of the forrest life. As for the lifting rocks/etc, it's definatel due to her Protoculture ancestry, as the ruins along with the AFOS were designed to react to their family line.

Definately an awesome movie. If it was missing anything, then I'd have to say it could have benefitted from an Itano Circus or two. Why bother having the Jericho Missile do a burst break-up if it can't do an Itano Circus? Also, not too familiar with the comics, but does Iron Man usually have Gundam style leg Vernier? Regardless, a great movie. Even my girlfriend (whom upon first seeing the trailer & asking "what is that," to which I replied "Iron Man," which turned into a comedy routine of repeats since she thought I was talking about hte song) enjoyed it. If they can keep this up for the next two movies, all the better.

Just curious if anyone's seen me running around in the online beta. My character's name is Keith. The servers seem to be pretty small most of the time, less than 200 people in the morning, sometimes upwards of 800 at night, So chances are some of us had to have crossed.

Again, if all it takes to distract a soldier is someone singing on the battlefield, then they were just born to be cannon fodder. In general, Basara's presence would serve to motivate the U.N. Pilots there, he obviousl wasn't against them, nor was he just shooting out speaker pods willy nilly, his targets were the enemy, and he had no intent to go after U.N. pilots. I also seem to recall something about U.S. soldiers being allowed to bring their own rock music with them to motivate them durring combat during this recent "military action."

If that were true, then hopefully Basara will pop up at some form for a few minutes during the show, to coach on Ranka, then go back about his mysterious way. -
That's..odd?

That's a truly f*cked up tease. Playable flashbacks? Playable/unlockable full game? Could this be what Kojima was trying to jam into the 50 gigs? Soooo cruel not to tell!

Robotech Shadow Chronicles gets a Blu-Ray release WTF!
Keith replied to Tobi54's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The full situation was this: -Gametek licenses Robotech for a N64 launch game, which got delayed for at least 3 years, then officially became vaporware once Gametek went under. I'm sure most have seen the Robotech Crystal Dreams clips on youtube, and some even played the rom that one of the programmers (penguin something) put up on the web. -When Gametek went under, its licenses went wholesale, and another videogame company snagged up some of their titles, including the Robotech game. For some reason, looking at their contracts, they got it in their heads that they owned the whole Robotech license, this single act awoke the sleeping Harmony Gold legal team, which caused them to look over "their" contracts, and flaunt around that they owned all Macross licensing internationally (outside Japan). -Coincidentally, around this same time, George Sohn, & his company Toycom, decided they would start up a Macross Plus toyline, because of his/their love for the old Takatoku/Bandai toys. Seeking out feedback, they started posting on the usenet Alt.Fan.Macross forums, kept everyone informed along the process from Prototype to complete toy. The toyline being a joint venture between Toycom & Yamato. -Maybe because of the booming anime market at the time (Dragonball & what not), AnimEigo licenses Macross, Manga puts out Plus & II on DVD, Bandai decides to port their new Macross game for U.S. release, and all looks good on the U.S. Macross fan horizon for the first time ever! -Then HG lays down the smack that would be felt around the world. For full details, obviously head over to the licensing topic, but the short version is that because of Tatsunoko, HG believed they owned all Macross licensing, when in fact they only had distro & merch for the original series. First target, tiny toy company Toycom, second target, Bandai games, neither of which is sure of the situation, because at that point no one knew what the hell was going on. In truth, not even HG could be faulted for thinking they had what they did, since it was Tatsunoko's bone-up. The way they went about things was far from right, and by all means, you'd think they would have contacted all Japanese parties involved before going official. You'll note that after the recent legal battles in Japan, they've corrected their stance. Perhaps to save themselves litigation from using DYRL designs in toylines & comics. -And of course the ultimate dick move at the time, George Sohn makes a backhanded deal with HG, sells out Toycom by signing a contract with HG stating that they will not release any Macross merch, selling the company to Yamato, then starting up a new company with a shiny new Robotech toy license....and to this day I refuse to support Toynami for that very action. At the same time, HG deals with ADV to hurry out Robotech DVD's to cut off the release of Macross AnimEigo's Macross by a full year. And all of that lead to the animosity of the time between Macross fans & HG. The reverberations we're still feeling today. HG's current claims are that they're not hindering any attempts at licensing Macross properties, and that its Big West who are refusing to do business with American company's. How much of that is true is anyone's guess, but one thing is nie certain. We probably would have gotten domestic Yammies, the Macross PS2 game, & Zero licensed over here had HG not sent the fear of mysterious legal action into Bandai & what not. Frontier would also probably still be using the U.N. Spacy instead of the NUNS, but that change isn't so bad. -

I'm not dissagreeing, just saying that all we really know about her is what Ozma has said. And usually in anime, it didn't happen 100% unless there's flashback animation. Also, just before Sheryl's concert, she sang her Nyan Nyan song... Could very easily be wrong, but any of her background info at this point could change as the series goes along.
