    Even I don't hate II as much as I used to, but by no means see it as something that should be included in the main story canon.

    Bull, Macross 7 very in tone with the original series. Frontier despite having more references to the original series, shares even more yet still in common with 7. Get over your music stigma's, 7 is about a band, deal with it.

    I enjoy both, though I think I still lean more towards the Vs franchise. Especially after the SEED games, which added insane speed to the mix. Though with bigger envirnments, the Speeder suits in the battle games would actually have something to do aside from running into walls.

    i'm only a few episodes in, but so far I'm enjoying it for being restored to proper cheesey super-robotness. At the very least, more watchable than as Voltron.

    At this point, i'd be overjoyed if Gundam Vs Gundam was announced for the PS3 with a Rengu Vs Zaft style story/campaign mode.

    Looking at the page again, unless more era's are unlockable, the story sections will only go through CCA, with F91 & beyond being resigned to unlockable pilots & suits? The added list of mobile suits is well worth the upgrade, but I hope the next game goes up through Victory. Or better yet, Victory & Turn A! They should also throw in the G-Savior as an incredibly underpowered, unmanueverable suit for comic value.

    If the Vajra are the result of a human attempt at backwards engineering the APHOS, they may also be a deliberate result/security measure instituted by the Protoculture. An "if you try to copy our tech to closely, it'll turn around & bite you" type deal. On the same note, they'd react to a Protoculture descendent the same way the APHOS did to Sara, in that they'd look for firm order on whether to kill or not. I'm hoping there's a little more than that behind it though, as Zero's ending looks in itself like setup for a bigger test for humanity. Of course we're still fairly early in the series, so the Vajra may not turn out to be the big eventual threat. I don't agree with those who believe Sara & Shin died at the end of Zero, they clearly folded somewhere. Unlike the wherabouts of Hikaru & Misa, I think Zero & Frontier were designed to actually answer the question this time.

    it's the most likely place if they wanted to keep those events secret. iIt was a military instillation, it had jobs involving the reconstruction of the Macross (which was also had secrecy involved). Easily taking care of two problems at once.

    I'm starting to sense a possible Nadia nod in this series. Crystals = Blue Water Ranka = Nadia Brera = Emperor Neo/Nadia's Brother Luca = Jean? No But there do seem to be some congruent themes. Just finnished ep 10, and really enjoyed it as well. Even the kitchy Gainax style action scene.

    I've read a lot of the spoilers now, and I'm pretty satisfied if what's going around is actually true. Only thing I've seen that I don't like is a pretty bad review of the blue-tooth headset. Hopefully that's a fluke, as I'd hate to see Koji-pro supporting substandard hardware.

    First we'll have to wait to see if clans carried over from the beta, if not, we'll have to set up from scratch.

    I wonder if the whole "home" project got scrapped, since it's almost a year overdue.

    Not weird at all of the Vajra turn out to be pilotted mecha, especially since pilot skills vary.

    From what i experienced in the online beta, it's definately deserved. it's far tighter a game enigne than GTA IV, which I've had for about a month now, and so far find it more fun to go tooling around town in cars, rather than playing through the meh missions.

    [ Sounds like the same cover, and same disc count. But I don't remember anything that bad in the subs. I actually held off a while in getting my set, and picked it up right after they released the rip of the R1 dub disc's. I do remember hearing about aweful subtitles before that though, things like "happy new years" and what not in the dialogue. I can only assume that I lucked out & picked up the release after someone else did a slighty better translation.

    I can understand auto-locking, I use it, and I'm not ashamed. But quick-cover is one of the laziest things I've ever seen in a gane. If you can't be bothered to play enough to jump out of the way of incoming fire, then what the hell! I really like that the online beta gave a heads-up on the new control scheme though, now I feel comfident enough to play through normal with little problem.

    The set I've got doesn't have anything like that. Not perfect subs mind you, but nothing random or out of the ordinary.

    Dubs for all 5 movies existed, they're just long out of print. I'm pretty sure the first movie was dubbed & released in theaters before the first series aired over here.

    I'm already taking the day off work, so going to pick it up at midnight isn't an issue. I just hope they have the bluetooth mic's there too when the game launches.

    Go for the 3 movie box set on the original series, and Zeta is easily found subtitled. As for what I liked about Victory, I really dug the dark tone of the series. What happened to the Strike Team just isn't done in most series, atleast not until Eva. It brought cast carnage to a level not seen again until Eva. The story in itself was solid, if not somewhat distant from the other U.C. shows, and I don't see how anyone couldn't love the V2.
