I really don't see any way Ranka & Alto can end up together, they just haven't spent even remotely enough time together to make it a believable outcome, unless they somehow wind up stranded alone together for a long period of time. I don't see any more to that relationship, than I did to a Mylene & Basara relationship. Sheryl for the win. And ewww, Vajra intestinal bugs....ewww.

I really don't see how you can say Ranka's the main girl, when Sheryl's gotten all the good Drama. Face it, Sheryl is the Misa of this series. And currently, she's also doubling as the pop idol since Ranka's gone awol.

Remember the early rumors about the series, and something about two different stories, i.e. one about Frontier, one about Galaxy? Mayhaps the second series will indeed be Macross Galaxy, told from their perspective about barely escaping alive from Vajra attack & Grace's faction, getting lost due to some crazy fold distortion, and trying to rush back to Frontier's aid before Grace does the same to them. Hell, maybe they'll hook up with Quarter. Double hell, maybe they'll hook up with Megaroad-01 (not too freakin' likely!!).

Did anyone else pre-order the Parallel works DVD out later this month?

I actually see this series ending with the mystery of the Vajra's origins solved, the Quarter remaining a pirate fleet, Grace killing Leon in the absolute most painful way possible, Ranka dying, Sheryl alive with Alto, but still terminally ill, and much else left open for some future series to carry on, though not with the same characters or fleet. That afterall is the Kawamori way!

Chrono Trigger will definately be awesome. Now if they'd just come up with a remake of the original secret of mana with wifi-multiplayer, instead of that half assed one they came out with a efw years ago.

As far s I know, no such software exists. Only thing close I know of, is a patch that will partition a part of the PS3's hard drive to fool certain PS2 games that support it into thinking there's a PS2 HDD.

Actually, it makes a lot of sense that it would be the Protoculture homeworld. Where wlse would the AFOS take Sara 7 Shin" We know that from Macross 7 & Zero, the Protoculture left contingencies in place depending on the direction of human evolution. In Zero we have the AFOS to whipe everyone out of existence should humans turn warlike, and in 7 we have the Lux ruins which only become active if a human/Zentradi hybrid enters (i.e. humans turn out to be peaceful, and succeed in doing what the PC couldn't, tame the Zentradi). But if you mix Humans/Zentradi/Evil/Ginga Kujira, you'd get something an aweful lot like the Vajra. Perhaps they're the Protoculture's final solution for peaceful life in the universe. What better place to birth such life than the start of all life to begin with? That they only respond to emotions through song definately speaks volumes.
