I don't know if the Protodevelin would have had much interest in the Vajra, being a hive species, I can't imagine they'd generate much spiritia of interest to them.

Even there, what need woudl the Vajra have had for battleship designs? I can't help but think that's also a direct reaction to contact with the Protoculture. Mimicing ship designs may have been their attempt at communicating with the Protoculture, aside from defending themselves.

I also question whether things like missiles & beam weapons were native to the Vajra. Looking at their base stages of evolution (via Ai-kun), there's absolutely nothing there to imply native mecha combat style ability. I'd wager it was actually the Regults & Glaugs that inspired teh Green & Red Vajra, not the other way around. Given their ability to adapt & evolve when attacked, it stands to reason that the Protoculture inadvertently gave the Vajra combat ability.

Why do you think the Zentradi didn't have a problem with Fold Faults? 10 years to find hte Macross? 11 days the reach the Bodolza fleet? Plenty of time to prepaire before Bodolza reached Earth? You better believe the Zentradi had problems with fold faults.

Humanity has surprassed the protoculture in several important area's. Vajra: The Protoculture admired them, but were never able to establish communication with them. Though I'm curious which ones technology influenced which. Protodevelin: The Protoculture were only able to temporarily seal them away, and at great cost to themselves. Zentradi: The remnants of Protoculture failed at demilitarizing them, to their final downfall. Given that Humanity has the Zentradi on their side, and fully integrated, assumed use of the Vajra's fold fault traversing technology, and the ultimate Anima Spiritia, Nekki Basara, it's doubtful the Protoculture would be able to overwhelm should there be a fight. That is of course unless the Protoculture build a safety into humans, much like they put one into the Zentradi vs the Evil.

Poor misguided Robotech fans. We 7 fans don't care about that though, since we have a show with original content, and superbadasas Max! More specifically, in each Macross series, Humanity has achieved something that the Protoculture failed at: -TV/DYRL: Demilitarizing the Zentradi, bringing them into a normal societal structure -7: Stopping the Protodevelin from taking out hte entire universe, by doing more than just sealing them away -Frontier: Establishing lines of communication/understanding with the Vajra, the apparent inspiration for all the Protoculture's doings. -Overall: Rebuilding the Stellar Republic, as colony fleets have begun to form independent states/planets, and spread out across hte universe. So what's next on the check list? The AFOS is still out there somewhere, waiting to judge humanity, and with an unknown level of technology. Sure it took a reaction missile to the face, but that didn't seem to phase it all that much.

Yup, unlike Ace Frontier, even fully leveled up, you will still feel there difference between advanced & weaker mecha, as it should be.
