Different actors is always inherently going to result in different inflections mixed with the dubious translation choices that always pop up with dubs equates to a different show all together. Sometimes the original creators "do" intend things to be in english, sometimes they don't. But claiming a dub is going to give you the same experience is ignorant at best. Again, it has nothing to do with watching subtitles, it has to do with not meddling with the show in general. Dubs completely remove a componant, and replace it with something else, while subtitles merely translate what's there.

Let me put it this way. Even if you have a bonkers way off base subtitle translation, you're still watching the original show, just with a bad translation. When you have a dub, you remove an entire part of what's being watched, and replace it with someone elses interpretation of it.

Being in stores won't make it any cheaper. MSRP is MSRP.

Bottom line, if you like listening to things in english, then anime isn't for you, changing the native audio just because you can't handle it being in another language is changing the product into something that it was never intended to be, and in the process giving you a completely different viewing experience than the one that was intended by the creaters. Subtitles are on the exact same screen as all the other action that's going on, claiming that reading letters and reading images (both involve recognition & interpretation by your brain) is inane. A ball and the letter Q are both pictures. Now excuse me while I enjoy my anime with its superior original audio track, and extra words over the already existing pictures to translate the words. BTW, shouldn't you be over at robotech.com posting since you like dubbed/changed things better?

To be fair, it wouldn't really benefit him to be agro robotech propoganda at a Macross function. Meanwhile he can gather intel about the goings on in the Light side of the Force.

I've been playing the demo whle I wait for my copy to arrive. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to switch area's, but overall, the new map system seems pretty smooth. In general, this game feels like they mixed the GBU engine with the MAC engine good guy/bad guy mission together structure), and apparently threw in the shop & menu switch from MUF. I can understand going with an pre-MUF engine for Gundam, since that really is tailored to Macross, but I think they should have incorporated MAC's version of the pilot skill system, using both custom pilot skills, and mecha skills. Mayhaps the next game. I do like that they're mixing AU Gundam now. MAF's special enemy mission tab would also be cool, but again, all of that maybe the next game. In general though, what's covered in this game, from what little I've read on gamefaqs. -0079 -0080 -0083 -0087 -0088 -0093 -0123 -SEED (CE 73) -00 (whenver the hell that happens, still haven't watched it yet, I'm holding out to see if BE releases it on bluray here, or at the very least the cheaper season sets so I won't feel bad double dipping when it does hit bluray). -Extra mission w/Victory suits (0153) But are all couple hundred some mobile suits from Battle Tactics/Royale/Chronicle/Universe still included? And of course, I don't even have this game, but I'm already anticipated the next game having full Victory, Wing, X, Turn A, SEED Destiny, and 00 Season 2 campaigns, with Unicorn extra missions. Sweet, looking at the official site, looks like they added the Zudah, wonder if it explodes if you boost for too long
