All psp games have a check for updates option, but I don't think I've heard of a major japanese game release having dlc on PSP.

End of the year would be inline with the usual release schedule. If so, here's hoping for a whole Macross II campaign, as well as fast packs for the VF-17's & VF-19F/S, Protodevelin, and various other things that didn't make the MUF cut.

The VF-19Kai's control scheme is absolutely nothing like "guitar hero," it's actually very similar to the standard cntrol scheme, just with one guitar sized stick instead of two flight sticks. Don't hate on Macross 7 just because you'll never have a Southern Cross game where you to strap onto a big ungly rectangle that turns into a robot.

I've got my main up to the absolute top rank, and need to unlock secrets 3 & 4 in order to get secret 15 (world unlock). My main obstacle still remains the two 57,000,000 (each) point parts that need to be purchased. I mean really, what an obscene total, with no hint on which stages they have rare random drop potential in yet.

Very true, but then it comes back to bite you in the ass when the HD age appears, and you're left with said low res cheap cg that prevents any kind of decent quailty release from happening. Have you seen B5 upscaled? Not a pretty picture.
