  1. you sir are in for a supreme treat, though I'd also call back that post office and ask why they're not letting you pick it up today, since they should still be open, as the 4th isn't 'til tomorrow, bastards!
  2. Because aside from the translation costs, they seem to think it hurts the potential to license even the most unlicensable shows. Though honestly, I think it's more of an issue of justifying the translation costs to a market that technically doesn't even count as their own. Besides, I think they know that regardless, even if other countries bootleg, they'll still make money off of the inevitable legit merch that is purchased as a result.
  3. The new season just started, give it time
  4. Fine I'll take the hit for the team: -Hey we work for HG! -Hey, we did voice work -Viva la Carl -More Viva la Carl -Mystery documentry on Carl -Viva la Carl's wife -The live action movie is totally happening -We have enough sense to know that we can't blow our collective (lack of creativity) wad until we have a live action film to ride on the coattails of. -We're doing some kinda mystery doodle that's some kind of sidestory that Carl gave us the idea for to do kinda that we're going to show but "turn off camera's" 'cus it's a mystery, and we ain't showin' nobody on the internet 'cus they'll laugh at us. This thing isn't going to be about Rick Hunter 'cus you will never see anything about him ever, but keep chasin' that carrot bra'! -Q&A free stuff for asking "the right questions." Oh, I almsot forgot -Robotech created the anime market in the U.S., there was nothing before that except for some 60's stuff, worship us! Mind you this is from me skipping through parts of it scanning for info, but that seems to be the gist.
  5. Hmm, maybe that is pink, it's hard to tell with the washed out video. You'd think they'd want to promote this with a decent internet trailer!
  6. Eva Director's Cut episode 24, new scene with Kowaru surrounded by Seele: SEELE: And in Adam, progenitor of Angels - the true successors from the lost White Moon. SEELE: And whose salvaged soul resides only within you... SEELE 01: But whose revived body is already inside Ikari. Pretty blunt no?
  7. EoE, Fuyutski's exposition, Keele's exposition, RCB, etc.
  8. OMG, the Sheryl Nome & Sharon Apple applications are mind boggling!
  9. Clearly this whole live action movie hoopla was a smokescreen to divert attention away from project "Shadow Harvest." Now that it is nearing completion, 2011 will hold the grand unveiling of the next robotech animated feature in a theatre somewhere outside of the Sundance Film Festival. The subsequent DVD release will occur in 2013, with bluray to hit in 2014. Let's just hope no one reports that picture to authorities as some kind of bomb scare... Also, wouldn't it be senseless to try to keep anything containing protocutlure away from the Invid, since it's essentially Invid nip, and they'd be able to smell it miles away?
  10. First big AX announcement, K-On season one, both bluray & DVD. And Also, Childhoods End was always the subtitle for the first movie.
  11. Non-spoiler Eva TV 101: Kowaru is actually Adam, the first Angel, Rei is actually Lilith the second Angel, their souls were taken from their original body's. Adam's body is the embryo Gendo implanted into his hand, Lilith's body is the Angel on the cross in Terminal Dogma. Lilith's soul was placed in a clone body of Yui Ikaru, and renamed Rei Ayanami. Adam's soul was placed in a clone body of a mystery doner, and renamed Kowaru Nagisa. Both were cuncurrently used as test data to create the dummy plug system, though for reasons which were never quite clear, Lilith's soul was splintered somehow, and half placed in Unit-00 after the death of Rei I & Naoko Akagi. Lilith/Rei regained her full self after the destruction of Rei II & Unit-00. Yes Kowaru was classified as the 17th Angel, which only happened because Seele hastened the schedule of events to combat Gendo's alterior motives. Now some Eva math: Adam's Soul (Kowaru) + Adam's Body (embryo) + Lilith's soul (Rei) + Lilith's body (giant on the cross) = original first impact god Lilith. Though Gendo tried to supliment Adam's soul with his own, until Rei/Lilith rejected him. Which takes us back to the new developements in 2.22 As of yet, there's not much of anything lending itself to the theory that these are post EoE events, while possible yes, may be nothing more than a red (LCL ocean filled) herring. Evidence against this includes the Lance of Longinus being on the moon with Kowaru's Unit, since at the finale of EoE, Yui/Unit-01 took it out into space with her.
  12. This sounds like a more interesting story, how many husbands does she have?
  13. Alright, just finished FMA ep 62, and damn, satisfying ending, can't wait for the epilogue. This has actually been an epic anime week for me, first 2.22, then Gurren Lagann Childhood's End, and now FMA ep 62. Was thinking of throwing the Zeta Gundam movies in too, but that might be too much awesome for one week.
  14. Something else I've been thinking about, in regards to the new Kowaru dialogue,
  15. You know, I also really liked their explanation for Shinji's SDAT player this time, add's a lot more relevance to it.
  16. Somewhat PS3 related, by the current PSP update included folders for gasp, PC Engine & Neo Geo games!
  17. More directly, both versions of alchemy are powered by tectonic shifts/earths's whatsamadoodle energy, but "Father/Dwarf in the Flask" altered the natural flow so he could control all of the Armestris alchemists. Scar's brother came up with a plan to free the flow, which was implemented an episode or two ago.
  18. The HK bluray is pretty damn awesome, with only a few instances of slightly awkward english usage. BTW, has there been any official reason yet given for Asuka's name change (from Souryu to Shikinami), probably the most mysterious difference so far.
  19. Just watched 2.22 on bluray............ F U C K I N G E P I C ! ! ! And for those who doubted the Unit-03 scenario from the tv series BAM! Aside from that, this is probably the finest movie adaptation of a tv series (so far) that I've ever seen, even topping out Galaxy Express 999, & the 0079 Gundam movies. Though to be honest, I really can't tell if they're meant to be standalone, or follow up the TV series. Watching this film with its various nods & clues that it may in fact take place after EoE, I can't bring myself to seperate the two viewing experiences, so I can't look at this film objectively from a "what if I never watched the show" standpoint, nor do I want to, it/s just too damned good. This film packed so much in though, I can't imagine what's left to fill two more. Did anyone else get a serious Gunbuster vibe from the movie though? I don't know if it was just the visual style, but it felt very Gunbustery to me. At this point, I half expect Noriko to pop up.
  20. Ah, thought you were watching Funi's streaming broadcast, which until Thursday is only up to 62.
