    Shyeah, Isamu was just comforting her. He also stayed up all night with Lucy playing parchizi. Remmber when Hikaru & Misa were alone in the Protocuture city? Misa was just showing Hikaru how her zipper worked!

    Think back to the original Macross. What happened when they tried to fire the cannon after the ship had been through 2 barrier explosions, taken a ton of flack, and had Kamjin charging at it? The damn thing blew itself up. Having an ejectable cannon ship + total 360 degree range is pretty handy. The fact that having a giant robot fire a giant gun in space looks cool is just icing.

    Don't confuse not seeing what happened, for not knowing what happened. Again, you have to take all of the character interactions into account. Myung: Far angrier at Isamu for leaving, than she was Guld for raging at them. Not the response of a rape victim. Isamu: Can't figure out WTF Guld's problem is initially, and just why he's so damned at him after so many years. Not how someone acts when their best friend rapes their girlfriend. Guld: when he finally acknowledges that he put his own guilt on Isamu, they share a laugh...not the act of a sane person who realizes they just raped someone they care about. Hell, look how pissed off Isamu is when he finds out Myung actually did sleep with Guld after the fire, he was ready to rip him a new one, and that was consensual sex. Come on, seriously guys, use some common sense here.

    Watched the second ep of Panty & Stocking, and I have to truly say, bravo Gainax. This show is successfully doing something that's so common place here, it almost seems trivial, until you take into account the source. This is Japan parodying America, and spot on at that. Style, story, content, I'm really impressed, and anxious to see just where they're going to go. Yeah, we may be used to doing tihs kind of things to our culture, but I think it's pretty awesome to see someone else do it for a change.

    The meds are shown to be something Guld "should not" be using, in the "if you get caught using these, you'd be kicked way out of the program) sort of way. Basically, he hid the fact that he was on them so he could be part of Project Supernova. Guld & Isamu both liked Myung, Myung liked Isamu more, and both were "getting together" secretly to protect Guld's feelings. Guld walks in on them, finds out, goes batshit, and isamu carring equally for both his friends decided to just walk away from the whole situation. As opposed to say if Guld raped Isamu, Isamu would likely grab the nearest large object, bash his head in, and drop him and his glider off a cliff to make it look like an accident.

    There is absolutely no way Myung would have "anything" to do with Myung if he raped her. The answer lies in the reason why Guld is on meds, he's prone to extreme rages. Guld was in love with Myung, already jealous of Isamu, and when he saw the two of them together, he went absolutely batshit & went all "hulk smash" on them. Yes he ripped Myungs shirt, but (I think) clearly stops his attack when he see's himself in the mirror. I honestly don't see how anyone would believe that 1: Myung would sleep with Guld later, let alone put any degree of trust in him, or 2: Isamu wouldn't have killed him right then and there, instead of leaving Myung alone with him as he joined the military.

    We've been down this road before. The only thing shown in the rulings, is that Tatsunoko has the completed animation to distributre internationally + merch rights for it & DYRL. They do not own the scripts, the intellectual property contained within the animation, etc. All they have, is the right to pimp out the completed product.

    Dude, it had a Zaku I throwing huge rocks, WE NEED THIS EPISODE! Besides, it was included in the R2 remaster set. The only reason I can see BE skipping it now would be because it's not dubbed. Considering there were some episode edit issues from what I recall, also making it hard to synch up a sub & dub on the same picture, hopefully this won't be a completely fubar'd release. Damnit, now I'm getting worried. On the bright side, TURN-A!

    I don't know, I like that Sheryl initially starts following Alto around because she likes him. She singled him out during the concert, "toyed" with him during the concert, and continued to persue that even before she notices her earring missing this time. It's quite clear she has an interest in him. And I agree, the clockwork dance is "supposed" to be jerky damnit. As for the blood issue

    I don't think it's a matter of how well this will sell. It's itsuwari no Utahime + a game demo, it will sell. I'd imagine that this is more a matter of how long it'll take to put a full game together. A lot of love went into MUF, but let's face it, the PSP models didn't have a ton of detail. The basic engine is already hammered out, and awesome. What's going to take a long time is modeling all of the mecha & stages. From the looks of things, they're on the right track. I love the game this is going to become so much. It's the perfect Macross game, now in console size with current gen graphics. I love that the PS3 plays imports out of the box, it's a damn good time to be a Macross fan. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=wvcoHL981Ug Also note, that the launch scene is era & carrier specific, which is something else we've all wanted. The PS3 should also allow for the battleships to be in actual scale with the mecha, something excusable on PSP, but missed none the less. But if they pull off what I think they're going for, complete with online multiplayer & PSP cross compatability, I think we may all go into fanboy overload. Dare I say we can expect a BD/UMD combo pack game in our future? Also, not to get greedy, but I'd totally love a PS3 Gundam Battle/Assault/whatever version too.

    And you do realize that "all" Tatsunoko got, was the internatioanl distribution of the original TV series & merch for TV & DYRL right? Everything else, including story, character desigsn, mecha designs, etc, still sits with Big West/Studio Nue.

    Just finished it, and damn, what an epic retelling. I honestly don't know what some of you guys are bitching about with the animation. As for the pacing, I'd say that's a nitpick too, everything flows together quite nicely. I think tihs is more a matter of knowing what's being skipped & misisng it, rather than having a feeling of jumping around. izolado not making it into the film was my only gripe, but there's still hope for the next one. Hell, so much was included here, that the bar for the big battle in the next one is going to be incredibly high. I think they'll hit, or possibly exceed it though, can't wait. As for that "scene" mentioned earlier Now what I'd like to know is

    I haven't fished through all of the options yet, but so far: VF-25F (Alto) Super, Tornado, Armored, & Armored W/Michel's rifle. VF-25S (Ozma) Super, Tornado, Armored I played a bit with Klan's 25S, seems to have the same basic setup, and naturally only Alto can use Michel's rifle so far. I didn't check out the 25G to see if it had the sound pack yet though. It's hard to reccomend buying a whole system for this demo, as awesome as it is, it's more about the potential that the full game will have. Once that full game is announced though, I would go for it. BTW, was anyone able to eject their fast packs? They still pop off after taking too much damage, but I couldn't do a forced ejection. And thanks for the trophie info, need to work on that this week.

    Since no one else has mentioned it, I will. BANDAI ENTERTIANMENT HAS LICENSED GUNDAM 0079, ALL 43 EPISODES, SUBTITLED! OMFG AWESOOME!! And the 00 movie, but I haven't even gotten to the series yet. They've also decided to start putting Unicorn on DVD, but really, if you don't have a bluray player, get one.
