    Exactly, the majority still want to watch everything live action, in english, full screen, with sh!t blowing up, and now, in 3D. What they want is Avatar, and fundamentally, Robotech wasn't too far off from that concept.

    No prob. Macross was never about "real mecha" or hardcore sci-fi war drama. Macross has always been a love story where the power of music moves the hearts of the bad guys. Always has been, always will be. -In the original series, it was Minmays song that spurred the revolt within the Britai Adoclas fleet, which resulted in just enough of a turn around to survive Bodlza's onslought. In the end, Minmay regretted that she hadn't achieved the iconic status of truly being able to move everyone with her song, and went off to hone that ability. -In Plus, we get a head to head battle between virtual culture shock (Sharon's Hypnosis), and real feelings reaching out and breaking through that (Myung's song). -In 7, we have someone who finally achieved the status that Minmay was only fabled to have. -In Zero, we're introduced to more retro roots of how the Protoculture percieved the use of songs & feelings with the AFOS's test. -In Frontier we revisit the lessons of the original series.

    Also note that by going through a sample community on the animeondvd forums, the general anime fanbase (i.e. not hardcore Macross fans) also tend to like 7 more than dislike it. The hate on this series is very much from a minority of U.S. Macross/Robotech fans who never did quite understand the scope of what Macross was about.

    Yes, yes you should. It's 100% kicking ass epic battles sh!t blowing up bouncing tits and burning hot blooded passion. And of course, giant super robots. It's one of those shows where just when you think the most epic thing happened, it's trumped a couple episodes later. And by the time you get to the end, all you'll really be able to say is "damn, that was f^cking awesome." It's the type of show where whining is met with a swift punch in the face, and losing is never remotely an option. Not sure if you've ever seen Gubnuster, but imagine that, told from a testosterone perspective.

    Fortunately for Isamu, everyone was underhypnosis, and all surveillance over the area was conveinetly knocked out of commission (sneaky bastard!). All Isamu really had to do was shrug and say "notta clue what happened, but it looked like a hell of a party." Or "Guld did it, I tried to stop him, but he crashed into the Ghost right after taking out the Macross" lol. As for Basara, he went chasing after Sivl, and had many space babies.

    This isn't about "liking what I like," it's about not making up peoples minds for them. With the very vocal minority of 7 haters in this forum, someone has to point out the otherside of that particular argument, otherwise you just get people sitting un-informed and perpetuating that particular opnion without actually watching the series. Considering he jumped into Zero without the backlog Protoculture tech that 7 provided, naturally it would be a bit of a head scratcher. All the more reason to watch 7.

    Ok, let's step outside of the flash back context for a minute. What happens when Guld saves Myung from the fire? Does he rape her unconcious body? No, he takes her back to her place, and prepares to leave until "she" asks him to stay. Mystery solved, Guld is not a rapist.

    Temporary fix, call and ask them if you can get a signal booster. It's a big obnoxious thing, but easier than running line under your apartment.

    I'm going to trim that limb you're on, and suggest again that he does watch it. Unwarrented hate is super unwarrented. If he watches it and doesn't like it, that's one thing, but who are you to make up his mind for him.

    Just be patient, it takes a few viewings, but eventually, all that Robotech BGM will be replaced with Macross BGM in your memory. I can't tell you how happy I was when that finally happened

    Unfortunately, it's probably not your DVR. You might want to schedule a visit to have your provider come out and check your line, which will include all lines in your house/apartment.

    Part of the problem there is that the Jedi weren't meant to be an extended conflict military force. The stress of long term combat, with the stress of rushing some padowan's who under normal circumstances would not be ready, is gonna result in a bit of blood lust on the Jedi side. And damn, could they have waited any longer after season 3 starst to release season 2. I know it's out next week, but damn, you guys are already 6 eps into the new season, and I haven't even seen last season...

    So do you just have a problem understanding the concept when I explain it to you, or do you misread what you believe to be true in that post too? I'll stick with my Dai Gurren dan mug, full of spiral energy, and none of the led of the HG cups (going by the listing on their shop page).

    The best part, they did a full car restoration to promote last years game. All of the major players will be in it, can't wait.
