Actually just finished watching mine last night, and it's quite the awesome set. Which reminds me, Bandai Entertainment botched the Haruhi S2 DVD's & their first half of Haruhi chan /Nyoron Churuya san disc's. The Japanese audio actually mono.

Yup, long since OOP. But there is hope that Frontier's bluray success will convince BV to start releasing the rest of Macross on bluray sooner than later.

Can we keep the doll stuff in the doll topic?

Again, look at the VF-25 in Trial Frontier. That level of detail rendering spread across the ton of mecha is gonna take some serious time to render. Not to mention level building. Another PSP game not only serves to tide us over, but also serves to fund the PS3 game I'm sure. If there isn't one in October, then I'd worry.

Live Action Space Battleship Yamato

It's not a bad ploy though. Take a hit on your first day to help spread word of mouth.- 450 replies

That's definately the VF-2SS, but I'd be surprised if the Metal Siren wasn't there. Also VALGO FINALLY! I'll probably go for the Utahime pack, even though I won't be able to play the umd, I'd still like to have it. As for the PS3 game, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but it takes time to render all of the mecha & stages that are in this game. Waiting for the second film to hit bluray would be a good guestimate for a console release.

I wonder if initially there will be special SNN missions, where you have to get up close with Zentradi/Marduk mecha & snap pictures of them.
-
The really cool thing is, you can call Seto when your girlfdiend/wife ask's you what you want for dinner, and he'll totally know the answer too. Can't tell you how many times he's pulled my ass out of the fire there.

More likely is that they'll either turn it into a music unit (wouldn't make the most sense) or a melee unit (no arms, but it can ram). It's possible they may do something completely out of left field, and turn it into a photo-only unit (take pictures instantly in levels), who knows. Damn I'm good. Just zoomed in on the picture, and the primary weapon says "photo", and the secondary weapon says "flash." Mystery solved.

The SNN Valkyrie is no more unarmed than the VT-1, so no problem there. As for the Macross Cannons, don't see why not. Sure their scale may suffer a bit, but they'll at least be targets in levels.

It's very doubtful that anything has been removed, sure the last Gundam game removed some stuff, but that seemed to have more to do with the engine overhaul that went on than anything.
-
OMG much sooner than expected. AWESOME. I still hope they put out a cross-compatible PS3 version with the second movie though. By the looks of it Nexx, SNN Valkyrie, and likely a full campaign. Awesome. It's almost like they read our wish list's here

No famitsu scans have popped up on the net yet?

Considering that name was trademarked a year ago (triangle frontier) when we first got rumors about turned out to be the trial frontier demo. Considering it's a 2chan rumor currently, I'd wait for something much more substancial.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v3.0
Keith replied to wolfx's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
The multi-dimension aspect of Orguss (tv) wasn't a Sliders style (everything you do has an alternate outcome), it was a more disjointed completely alternate reality type deal. Dinosaur world, hot girls with head tales world, French Revolution World, Robots kill all humans world, that type of deal. The crossing of the dimensions literally took pieces of each world, and swapped them in and out with highly unstable randomness. The disturbance itself was directly connected with Kei & Olsen, which is why they were so integral in fixing things. And once things were fixed, it wasn't a matter of there being an alternate reality where things were not left over, it was a literal "this never happened, so things never meshed & screwed up a dozen or so different worlds). Ergo, there never could have been a baby. As for the rest, yeah it was super goofy. If the staff listings had anyone else but Mikimoto shared between Orguss 02, Macross 02, & Gundam 0080, I'd swear that they were intentionally conspiring to ruin all 3 franchises. As for spoilers, it's a 25+ year old show. i'm pretty sure the spoiler window has passed. -
Hmm, this equates to more extra mission fodder & unlockables for the next Macross game. Excellent!

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v3.0
Keith replied to wolfx's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Bottom line, Kei & Olsen "did" restore the dimensions, we see them seperate back into their orignal states. A leftover hybrid crap leftover Earth with a child Mimsy could never have given birth to living in it, along with an empire that never existed in the combined universe, with a super weapon that also never existed is highly dubious at best. Also, Tai was super dead. -
Um, no. By default subbing is never "ever" as bad as a dub translation, since the original audio is there regardless of what's in the subs.

Long since pre-ordered, though I find it interesting they went more with the LLA style interview, than the FB 2012 style epilogue. Actually, it's not that surprising, considering we're mere months away fronm the new movie.

We're just lucky they didn't say "Yay-May-to." As awesome as that is though, any reason given as to why they played it?- 450 replies

Younger Bruce Campbell would have been perfect. Actually, he'd be adequite for Sully, but that ain't gonna happen either. Ryan Reynalds is bus with bigger things, what about the Firefly dude, he'd actually fit pretty well. I loved Marky Mark in Hukkabee's & The Departed, but this is not his role.

That's not sentai dude.

I'm actually curious why this topic never comes up in regards to situation like the AEUG in relation to the TITANS/EFSF. Sure the NUNS hadn't reached the level of curruption that the EFSF did, but the gist I got is that they were on their way there. Actually, historically in Macross, the protagonists have almost always been somewhat rebellious against the main military force. Global didn't back down to the brass who told him to basically take his 50,000 survivors, and collectively fall on their swords. Isamu could have given less of a crap about anyone's orders. Max & Exedor seem to have played a bit fast & loose with their following of UNS rules, and Roy, Shin & Edgar all peformed a mini coup just to launch. Putting things into that context, it's actually not much of a surprise that Frontier's heroes ar already apathetic about standard military channels, and don't give much of a care for their procedures. I don't want to get itno the political/psychological aspects of this, but more likely than not this is still Japanese cultural fallout over how their govermnent/miltary handled WWII. And taking it into that context, I don't think U.S. military/fans should take the situation as spitting in the face of military proper in general, but specifically currupt military practices that don't take their peoples best interest to heart. I can't really think of an anime series off the top of my head, where the "heroes" didn't butt heads against their proper military structure. Evangelion, FMP, Votoms, EVERY Gundam series ever, Yamato, SRW, etc, etc, etc. If anything, Japan's anime interpretation of the U.S. military is somewhat positive. Of course I speak of the Gamilus empire in Yamato. Sure they were (initially) the bad guys. And sure they were taken down by the Yamato. But they were shown to be a very honorable methotical strong/smart foe.

If you're going to be intentionally ignorant, there's no point in you discussing this at all. Song energy/spiritia itself had nothing to do with singing itself. It's the natural energy given off by all living things. Anima Spiritia is the rawest/purest form of said energy, and is radiated by hot blooded passion. The protodevelin subisded on the energy of other living biengs, and couldn't digest the hot blooded anima spiritia. They understood that endlessly feeding on all living things in our universe, would result in the extinction of themselves, in addition to all other life. And as such, Basara showed them the only logical conclusion to their dilemma, to learn how to produce their own energy, making them 100% self sufficient beings. The overall message of Macross 7, is what do you do when no matter what, your enemy has a bigger badder gun/bomb than you do.

To be fair, there's more going on behind the scenes there than meets the eye. According to Kawamori, the way the NUNS work, is that they are a govermnment military to the Frontier "state" fleet, or something to that effect. Bilra funded the Frontier fleet. Bilra Funded the SMS. He clearly had major string pull on both sides, at least in the series.
